Thanks Amigo you have helped me out with a very well hidden part. You have done a great job showing how its done
Out of all the videos I have seen your by far is the very best! Thank you for doing such a fantastic job of documenting this procedure. Now that I have seen your video it will be a breeze to replace this defective part and have the fan work again. Winter is on its way and I get kinda cold here in California and my M3 is a convertible so it does get a bit chilly in the winter..
Thank you so much for this video. I was so worried about my fan since it was going in and out at times. This video helped so much changing mine, thanks again.
music to my ears. Thanks, much appreciated.
Solid video. This BMW e46 is at stock or bare bones filming. No seating, center console, dashboard, doors, etc. A great idea to help us see without the distraction of the things that will be in our your way. It created a clear visual getting right to the point of finding the part and getting it out of your car. The films narrator was very clear, in describing each step, to help the most common understand Great learning experience for D.I.Y.beginners who want to start working on their own car. Its a promising teaching video. I would give it an 8 out of 10 only because I really want to see how this sh*t 's really going to be:) Great Job.
I’ve got to say I agree the best of the best in detailed videos.Keep up the great work.
You are awesome! You have nearly everything what I need to know for my car :)
Now you got one subscriber more :)
This video is great for showing you how it looks in there. When you go in yourself from below you can't see hardly anything because of the heater duct etc. On right-hand drive cars it's even harder to see anything because the steering column gets in the way.
Great video. The detail you included was really helpful. I didn't know about the clip holding the resister in place. I switched it out with the dash still in so didn't have much room to see/work and that saved me so much frustration. Your video was really helpful. Thank you!
Glad we could help.
Thanks from the Uk very helpful.
Great video! Worked like a charm....I had to be a contortionist to do it but it's better than ripping the whole dash off. Thanks for the help!

You are correct. Even when you find it, sometimes its a challenge pulling it out.
I changed one of these today with the help of your video except the glove box is on the other side on my car i may need a neck brace by the morning as i am now laid in bed in agony with facet joint pain of the neck which i am now taking pain killers to try and alleviate the pain which at the moment to make matters worse i have the most horrendous headache i have ever had,
great vid, helped me a lot. Piece of advice for people tackling this project, do NOT remove the plastic hvac piece on the left side unless absolutely necessary. Its a PITA to put back and messes up the alignment of the glove box when reassembling.
Thanks man very helpful video thanks a lot. Saved me a lot of money.
thanks for the video the repair was a pain in the rear however with your video I did it in a hour thx!!!
Larry Wise Glad our video was useful. thanks for your support.

Quick replacement. Check out our Ebay store for a good used resistor.. Thanks
Mine went out today , and they were charging me 350 to replace it . after seeing this i think i can do it myself ..
I did this change and the fan is now working .... But now there will only come hot air from the system - No cold at all ... Someone who have same problem, and know how to solve it?
I've done this dam thing twice!!!
Nice job! keep on doing it! i need a tutorial about how to change exterior trims! can you make a video showing how to remove exterior chrome/black trim on bmw e46 sedan? 2 pieces arches black/chrome, above the doors. thks!
***** Thanks for watching our video. Be sure to subscribe and will make a DIY on how to remove door trim.
... waiting :P
I have a 2003 325i bmw and the blower fan just stop working about a week ago...how do you determine if it is the blower fan or the resistor?
With mine the resistor went bad because the blower fan was about to go. I replaced the resistor twice (which isn't fun) then my blower fan died. I should have checked the blower fan when I replaced the resistor the first time. It was visually deteriorated and harder to turn than the new one.
Awesome 😎👍🏻

Hi , I was trying to replace the FSU along with the socket because the old ones god burned. I didn't cut the power on the car I just left the key unturned. when I was cutting the wires(the ones that go into the FSU) a shortcircuit occured and now I don't have any power to non of the 5 wires. The command pannel works normaly only the fan wont start. any ideeas ?
C Ya Not good. Could be a fuse or a blown fan
Problem solved. It was a fuse, not the 5A that powers the control unit, that one was ok. There is another one that got burned, a 40A fuse also located in the fuse box. I think it protects the circuit between car battery and the fan. I got lucky. Thanks !
excellent mate fantastic .nice one A+++++++++++++++

hey quick question i have a 2003 325i and i believe its the motor resistor that went on me.. essentially when car is off or heat is off i can see hear the vent blowing air or hear the motor itself ... and it stays on until it kills my battery.. this is the blower motor resistor causing the problem correct?
When you turn your car off, does the blower motor turn and blow air through the center vents? Or do you hear a fan blower by the climate control? Reason i ask is because there is a small fan in your climate control that draws air temp from inside the car and when that fan is going out, then you will hear it go off when car is off. Therefore check which fan it is.
hear it like coming out of the windshield vents. as soon as the car is on after i jump it it goes on. wont turn off and kills the battery so for now i disconnected the negative on the battery. everyone told me its a classic fsr fail. bought the resistor for $60 should have it by thrus.
Dude you've only removed the Final State Resistor, NOT the motor, the motor is also known as the blower fan. Do you have a video of the actual blower fan being removed? Thanks.
Actually you dont have to remove all dash for resistor... I also cant find any video with motor remove. everybody does on 330i which is easy as pee, but no info at all with 300d where you don't have enough space to remove it through engine side. half of my car is on parts because of this nonsense. Maybe you got cleared something?
How much do yall sell the resistor for?
