Having worked in one during school for a few semesters I totally agree. Even though they’re open in between main meals I would highly advise against going then. That’s when the food just isn’t fresh.

It really isn't. Most of the food in college cafeterias is worse than school cafeteria food and will often give you food poisoning. I've gotten food poisoning more times in this past year than my whole life and at least once a week I'll find a hair or a dead bug in some food item

the food my school does is incredible!! there are 3 canteens 1 of them serves warm delicious chips and juicy huge chicken burgers, the other one serves amazing warm tomato and chicken pasta then the last one serves amazing hot cheesy pizza slices and warm juicy hotdogs. then there's another lil corner which sells freshly made warm soft cookies and icy flavourful blue and red slushies ❤❤❤

we had free food on the rare occasion they had a conference buffet and then let the students in to vacuum up the leftovers but it only rarely happened and the buffet room had glass doors and was right next to the common room 😒
