Picking up the curved detail in the glass Door in the bathroom from the kitchen and the Livingroom cabinet doors is interesting and Unifi's the spaces. In the office you really need to have a in floor pop-up electrical outlet and network jack under the desk if you're going to place in in the center of the room and maybe go with a runner instead of a full rug under the desk unless you create a tailored opening or even a flap covering hte outlet in the rug. (I have Seen it done and it can work well) Having cables and cords snaking into the travel area is asking for trouble. If you can afford this house, you can afford such intricate details. A reading nook at the top of the stairs to take advantage of that skylight would be interesting paired with a large painting or even a small bookcase to suggest its purpose. The marble inlay at the entrance is triggering my OCD. Having that one grey and black arc broken with the two segments at differing angles keeps drawing my eye to it. That was a bad design choice as all your guests will immediately gravitate to it subliminally and create anxiety. The dissonance of the black and grey arcs (Being so dominant) leaves an unsettled first impression. Flow is everything in High end homes. Anything that distracts guests or buyers can affect the value. If I was the homeowner, I would spend the money to correct that immediately. I have been om tours where I keep thinking about that one item and walk away from a house because of it. Some detailing of hte walls on the staircase like you have in hte office would be nice as well. Flow and language are critical. That room in the basement with the two cupboards needs to suggest a purpose. I would have put similar chairs and a small table to the French Provençal furnishings in the other room. The basement needs a a room stager to come in and tie it together stylistically. It's a bit of a mish mash of styles and has no connection to hte main floor. I might have picked up on the glass door treatments from upstairs again and made the kitchenette reflect the upstairs kitchen more. It feels as though it was added later with no input form a designer.
It's a different kind of lifestyle for sure! The best part is the convenience of the location. Only 40 min drive and you are in downtown for work but come home to this beauty! Would you take a drive for that?:)
