- I watched Hamilton Academical v Falkirk in the Scottish Championship at New Douglas Park. Falkirk are flying this season on the pitch, but do they have the best fans off it too?

Hamilton used to have a fan called Fergie. who was quite famous for being the loudest man in the stadium, getting banned from a handful of stadiums I think, or that may have been popular legend. Someone will correct me. I used to go to Firhill back in the day and heard him a couple of times.

Yes, Fergie was an absolute legend. I was a regular at DP from mid 60's to late 70's and he was a stand out at the games, especially as the attendances dropped to 250 or so. He had a fog horn of a voice and would station himself behind the opposition keeper and give non stop abuse. Occasionally, a couple of coppers would head his way, and he would beat a hasty retreat until the coast was clear. A real character. Those were the days. I think Harry Hood is still running to this day.....not one to give up on a lost cause.

Best Second Tier Division in the world? Easy, the German 2nd Division and the English Championship - the Scottish third but for God's sake improve the promotion and relegation setup between this league and the Premiership and L1
Be great to meet you next time you go to an Annan athletic match..give me your opinion on them as I have a round trip of 240 miles or so from Blackpool to follow them.

There's no ferry to Dingwall, he's made a wise choice. The flights go out from Aberdeen as well, Loganair, does Dublin - Aberdeen- Shetland and back, for whatever logistical reason.
