I've had nothing but 250-350cc dual sports since 1975. I love ultralight camping. I bought a BMW G310GS for my 60th birthday. My gpal is secondary roads, gravel roads, dirt roads and very mild off road, getting away from it all to do some solo camping. The bugs on the way out from your bushcraft spot looked brutal! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.

I grew up in Houston, not used to lulls in the rain! Now in NM and understand that the rain comes and goes, won't necessarily be a 5 day thing. As a KLR rider I highly recommend a lightweight dual sport (sand). Picking up your bike shouldn't be a test of that aneurism just waiting to burst. I've always exercised, runner, not a big meat eater - fell and broke some ribs, x-ray - heart is a mess. You never know.
Great camping video . She needs to relax and stay to the left side of the bike. It ok to drop it and pick it up no problem. Enjoy. Around Bend Oregon out !

All in all, this was a pretty sweet moto-camping excursion. It was fortunate that you had options, between the beach, National Park, and your bush crafter shelter. The gnarly bit through the trees was especially interesting. Bravo!
Fun ride . I have a kl250 I customized with ammo box's & a rack to hold a 6gal bucket that keeps all my camp gear dry and doubles as a seat for camp. Can't wait for warmer weather

I'm a big fan of the Kawasaki KLX250, I currently have a green 2011 model and in the past had a blue and white 1986 KLR250. Very good bike, great mpg (with road tyres).

Back in '74 I rode my Triumph Bonnie from New England USA to NB then over to PEI & NS. Secondary roads all the way. Great things happened on that trip.
I like the video and I'm looking forward to the summer here in Newfoundland to get back on my KLX250. My granddaughter's got the KLX140 and we go on a few day adventures but this year we are going to explore some of the back country trails and overnight a few times.

You both are very lucky to have/enjoy one another, keep it up! I ride a Honda NC700 with 70/30 tires and often moto-camp, though solo. The first big one, when the border reopens, is to go to Nova Scotia and maybe a quick zip to PEI. I was thinking of taking the ferry (from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth?) and maybe going through New Brunswick on the way back. I'm not really an outdoorsy guy, wasn't really introduced to it in my youth, and will most likely be getting a street bike that I will be stretching it on the touring part. I may trade up for an adv, who knows at this point. I also want to get up to Goose Bay Labrador as my Father was stationed there during the Korean War and talked a lot about it. Subscribed. 😀

NB is a beautiful province but you'd have to get off the highways to see it. If your plan is mostly visiting PEI and Nova Scotia, the ferry isn't a bad idea. Saves a lot of long distance riding.

Sissy next time that happens just try to stay calm hit the kill switch and try to lay it over if you can ,never try to manhandle it, you will hurt yourself almost every time, you guys try to be safe on your travels love the videos.ive always disliked wet trails.

CAN'T do that in Oregon anymore. Hidden Pot Grows and Meth Labs are EVERYWHERE in our woods, now. I still like to play on the logging roads, but absolutely will not spend the night out there. Its ALSO to the point that when I DO go out there, I carry my .40!
