I like the FansToys Dinobots over Gigapower for both modes because they are solid and I feel they more closely represent the characters. However, I do prefer the paint on the Gigapower bots. Also, GP Snarl does look really nice in dino mode.
Excellent! Agreed. Each set has its unique qualities. I do prefer Giga, all the way, but then Fans Toys set is also a great set. Great video man! I personally go with Giga both robot and dinosaur mode.
If i had all them i would have fanstoys in dino modes and Giga in Bot modes but what an awesome sight to behold seeing em all together like that, Giga's Swoop's wing span is huge i so need to get that 1
Awesome video's! Always my favourites. The G1 toy Sludge was my first TF. I prefer the Fanstoys set. IMO Giga did overkill on the details on the dinosaur modes. The Grimlock stance in dinomode and head is better through. And stupid that Fanstoys didn't give Slag his red horns. But Jasper is the best beast in the vids 😄
The Fan Toys better call to mind the G1 cartoon versions while Giga Power seem to take more after the toyline. Guess it depends on which look you prefer.

Granted Giga has the Size and better details such as paint apps,but FansToys clearly has the show appeal.So you ask what does that mean,well for me its literally no contest since both have their own merits and drawbacks,and for me personally both Giga and FansToys are pretty much even at 50/50.Now some may say that is a cop out but for me I am of the opinion of "you can't have too many Dinobots",they are like Icons in their own ways,so if you have all 5 originals then you should have them all,just sayin'.
I don't think calling it 50/50 is a cop out. FT went for the toon aesthetic where GP went for a stylized toy aesthetic. It's like trying to compare apples to oranges. Both are quality sets, it all depends on what aesthetic you prefer. I do prefer GP>FT but i'm buying the FT dinos as well because my collection varies between toon, toy, and Studio Ox. I'm a G1 fan, there's always room for multiple representations of characters.
I love this video. I'm watching this for the 100th time already. I got three of the Gigapower dinos so far and I'm in love with them. If I'd have to choose between them and FT, I'd be happy with any of them. And you're 100% right on people sticking to only one choice. Have fun with what you prefer and let others enjoy their preferences. At the end of the day we are all not-so-grown kids who just love their transformers "toys". I've never understood fanboying one brand and hating anything thats not that brand. Both GP and FT have the fans covered depending on whether you are going for the toon or toy aesthetic. Personally I prefer the GP>FT but I love what FT has released as well and do plan on buying the whole set soon. To fanboy one brand and only supporting one brand is only doing the individual a disservice as most 3rd party brands release good versions of characters other companies aren't doing. Supporting different brands breeds competition which helps keep the industry strong, no competition means no innovation.

I just can't get past the way Fanstoys made Grimlock's robot mode proportions so wonky. Why are his shoulders so far apart with that weird extra piece between each arm and shoulder? Why is his waist so small compared to his chest? They match the cartoon really well in every other respect, but gave him these bizarre proportions and I'm not sure why more people aren't bothered by them. Fans toys price on there Dinobots have not wavered; and giga power is putting out bigger, colorful, and strong jointed figures. Why would you want to pay that price for fans toys with giga power is putting up better figures at a better price.... 🤔
The Dibots win for me, It's not even close. The Fans Toys figures are Masterpiece themed, with Sunbow-centric aesthetics - they look like the characters from the show and the marvel comic. Solidly made, full of diecast, in perfect scale with Takara MP figures. They're everything I wanted. The GP figures are doing their own thing in terms of styling. If you like big, generic, roided up shiny bots then have your fill. But personally, I don't think they belong in a MP collection, and I have no place for them in my collection.
KatchouroBlade the gp are far more mp. With the g1 style people want now. Ft was great 3 years ago. But just like any figure that comes out years later the gp are just better in every way. There’s nothing bad with it. They just got the chance to fix everyone else’s mistakes.

Aesthetic wise. FT hands down. Giga is more on being big and ugly. FT has that real cartoony look.
Is the scale for the height the same for both of the sets or one side is bigger than the other and taller than the other?

The FT Dinos are awesome also, but the GP bots are just bigger and more detailed, and most importantly, CHEAPER!
I look at these and wonder, how a FT set of the four with GP Sludge would work on a shelf.

Prices are pretty similar to be honest, really not much in it.

No matter what. You can mix them. They still all look good. You can have one set of dinos and the other bot.

Gigapower probably takes the victory - only because the Fanstoys offerings are so hard to come by these days, and cost a fortune.

Gigapower i feel captures the accurate size! Dinobots toward OVER Optimus Prime n the majority of all the Autobots. Beside combiners.

Yeah, Swoop fits well with both. FT Soar is a great figure.
