    It looks the perfect shape to confuse drunk people at the pub when they ask for a light 😉

    What a perfectly timed video. I just got an E5 about 3 days ago. Because of the flat shape, it might replace my Olight Baton 3 as my pocket light.

      Hey Mitch, it would seem my timing has been best for a few people 😆 100% agree on the form factor. The flatter lights (especially smaller EDC pocketable lights like this) is a winner

    I just got a E1, what i love about these flashlight is the ease of way you can make it work, you battery died ? No worry you can use the built-in Lipo battery, is it the other way around? No worry go to any store and buy a triple A. I love mine already

      Hey Hugo. I think we're going to see more of these style lights going forward. I think Rovyvon are yet again showing their class here. Thanks for watching my friend

    Brilliant review!! I’ve added the E5 red to my wishlist 🤘🤘 I’m loving the flat design, dual power, and multiple side light features!

    I’ll be honest I kinda love the rectangular lights. This makes me want to get the E4Ti and slap some yellow tritium vials in it so it matches the rest of my gear.
    It might sound goofy but I walk my dog with a TM10K(!!). If I’m deep in the woods sometimes you hear spooky sounds and nothings more comforting than a pocket sun. If I don’t have that on me I usually keep a Tini2 or T4k in my car (both 200 lumen high iirc). Neither are really great for dog walking honestly but these are looking pretty solid.

      I'm with you Jake for sure. They sit in your pocket so much easier and they're the future buddy 😆

    Just recently bought an Angel's Eyes E7 model. Absolutely fantastic device! Unbelievable device!
    I do believe that I've found the ultimate EDC light for my own personal needs.
    Though more technical than I'm used to, it none the less, unbelievably the most useful light I've ever found. I've never seen such a thing. And this was all based upon your videos and evaluation of the original manufacturer. Many thanks for the information and review of this device. 👍

      You're more than welcome my friend. Rovyvon really are nailing it with their lights. With the functions and price, they're hard to beat

    I really debated on getting the E1 over the Acebeam Rider RX, but ultimately landed on the Rider due to a sale price...
    This is a great overview, and does show me that the User Interface would cause me annoyance.

      ha ha ha.. I totally get you Daniel. I think user interface can often make or break a product for some people. I quite like it because it's very similar to previous Rovyvon lights I've used. I'll keep my eye out for the Acebeam Rider RX. Are you happy with it so far?

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dang it... I'm kicking myself for misreading which Acebeam it was. I spotted Dom from Max LVL EDC made some content on this a few months back. Very cool looking light. This is definitely on my list

    So what is the difference with the E8 and these 3. Also what separates the e series its better then all of the other royvon series.

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If my memory is right the E8 is similar however the 'spwcial' light on the side is a red/blue flashing emergency services style light rather than a UV light. They're all pretty much the same just have that different special function

    Been doing some research on lithium batteries. I've found data on their useful life regarding being recharged. General opinion is that a lithium battery can absorb roughly 60 charges before they are no longer serviceable.
    With the inability to replace the lithium battery, it make perfect sense to employ the AAA battery as the primary power source and replace when needed. Thus maintaining the integrity of the lithium battery for genuine emergency use if the AAA fails and you don't have a spare AAA.
    This method should insure that you will not be forced to replace the flashlight, and in the end, save you money....
    Ranger out...😬

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That makes total sense. Having that back up for those SHTF moments when you're out of AAA power is really where these lights excel.

      @UCkI6pPBQ1IaNlicrwsnR5_w ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Disagree. LiPos are generally good for a couple of hundred cycles. A full charge gives you an hour on high power. That's two minutes of incidental use every day for a month. A couple of hundred months is 16 years. So you could potentially run this thing into the 2040s, charging it once a month, and never needing to switch to the AAA. A lithium primary cell has a shelf life of 20 years, so you could even get there with the same AAA inside! Personally I'd rather get the higher power and cheaper running of the LiPo, with the AAA kept purely as a backup.
      Using the AAA as the main source of power might make more sense if using the light for hours every night (eg camping) but that isn't really the intended purpose of this light. As a keyring light for occasional bursts of convenience the LiPo seems like a better choice.

    Nitecore does a copy of the small rounded one. It looks identical to it even down to the glow in the dark.
