    I bought the Baton 3 pro a few weeks ago and love it! I agree, it is a great size and output for EDC.
    Thanks for another great review!

      Hi Ashton. Olight are going to sell these like hot cakes. There's a winning formula right here 😆 Hope you're well buddy

    A compact, reliable and super bright EDC light is a must have for my job, and in all my years of service I've never used anything better than the Olight Baton 3. So when I saw the 1500 lumen Baton 3 Pro it was a no brainer, scored the OD green with neutral white, should be here in a day or two. Also got the copper/titanium Baton 3 Eternal and WOW! Hands down the most unique and beautiful Baton 3 variant I've ever seen. You really feel the extra weight of the copper body, and the black clip, accents and micro engraving that wraps around the light looks incredible.

      @MoorlanderEDC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry David, I've completely fallen behind getting back to people. A copper version would be epic. My guess is they couldn't make them fast enough to keep up with demand. With a nice natural patina it would look awesome for sure

      @@MoorlanderEDC No worries! The Baton 3 Pro arrived yesterday and after spending some time with it it's my new yardstick light for all compact EDC lights. There's nothing about it I don't like, and it totally deserves and lives up to the "Pro" moniker. It's a Baton 3, but it's significantly upgraded in every way. Loved the metal adhesive stick L mount for magnetic storage that came with it too.

    I just got the purple one today and after an initial 5 hours of charging to get it fully charged and 30 minutes of tinkering with it, it seems like it's going to be a great, small, 18650 flashlight. 👍🍻

    I would put the adhesive stand on the headboard or dresser. So I could find it in the dark. I leave very early so I use my torch on the moonlight mode to get ready for work.

    Man that's a good flashlight. I wish they could keep it that same size but add a tall switch like the Warrior mini. That would make it the best edc light ever IMO.

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That does sound like a winning combination. Personally, I'd take the rotating switch from the Seeker, that would be my ideal set up

    If this is the light that has the rechargeable case that you put it into, then I wonder if that could fit into that pouch it comes with.

    U can use flat top batteries but you have to buy a little plastic spacer that turns a flat top battery into a button top costs dollar or two but it works great

    Proximity Sensor. Just went to test it for the first time after watching your video. Dropped the light reaching for it....or knocked the light off my desk rather. Powered on the light. Everyhing was good. But the sessor didn't work. Did the drop just happen to affect it? Doubtful. YOu did mention some people had a problem on their B3 Pro. Luckily this is a featgure I couldn't care less about....if it was there or not. Chances of the light being turned on without my knowing.....next to nil.
    I went back to watch this video 2x....couldn't find wehre you mentioned some had problems but worked with your copy. Shrug.

    Not having USB C has stopped me from pulling the trigger on this one.

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a shame. I 100% standby USB C as a standard charger. Olight have made an amazing charging port though. Out of all of the proprietary ones out there, theirs is the best.

      There is a portable USB c adapter from olight for about $15(off Amazon) to make this light possibly worth it! Can't wait for the nw purple and cw orange to arrive!!

    CRI 70 isn't the type of LED, it's the colour rendering index. 70 is consider pretty bad and unpleasant, Olight have a history of not using LEDs with good CRI, even their old HCRI Baton Mini had an awful colour and tint shift.

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ooooooh... Shoot. Everyday is a school day. Thank you Alex, I genuinely thought that was the LED unit. I appreciate the heads up. I have seen with Fenix lights the clarity of the light is exceptional. I've just made some content on the Warrior 2 Mini which does appear to have more clarity. That should be live on Tuesday

      It's funny even as a grow arse man it's still scary. These legends that free camp in the woods by themselves are a different breed. I'd need to set up a claymore Perimeter with trip wires and flares 🤣

    Recently we’ve noticed some feedback regarding the proximity sensor of Baton 3 Pro in our group. After a deep investigation and a careful, serious internal discussion, we come to the conclusion that the present hidden sensor applied in the Baton 3 Pro is oversensitive and may lead to an undesired user experience, including a brightness drop down in an unexpected situation, and flickering at very infrequent intervals. The hidden proximity sensor technology requires further research and development to desirably perfect the user experience.
    We have temporarily suspended the sale of the Baton 3 Pro, but since your order was purchased before it went off the shelves. Therefore, could you please consider the following two solutions:
    A. We actively turn off the light hidden sensor before delivery
    B. We cancel the order and give you a refund
    Olight never mention if there would be a recall on the Baton 3 Pro, there probably won't be?

    • @MoorlanderEDC

    They will need to use usb c going forward as will apple and everyone else. Which is great news for us consumers. 1 charger to rule them all....

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Matt. You're not wrong fella. I didn't even think about this style charger under that new ruling. It makes sense though. It's great to have a well thought out charger like this, but there's always that worry you'll lose it or simply not have one with you. Hail USB C, long live the King 😆🤘

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Dan. I've had a few people comment that other company's batteries don't work. Olight have a proprietary jacket around the positive end which doesn't work. There's black sleeve piece of plastic. You can just see it in the vid. It's a great idea for Olight but not the best for people with lots of 18650 batteries hanging around

    Higly invasive marketing for low light quality

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Olight marketing is on the aggressive side. I think they live by the 'the more poop you throw at the wall, the more stick' principle 😆
