Fun fact: Rise of the Dark Spark was the first game that made me realized how easily "recyclable" games can be. I felt especially cheated when I saw how they just copy-pasted a huge part of the Iacon map in Wars for Cybertron and called it part of Kaon. *facepalm*
Very good commentary too. That's the first time a reviewer of the games mentioned each character having very unique gameplay mechanics. For me, I never need to play another hack-and-slash, stealth, or mech game bc of FOC. I can play Cliffjumper or Starscream to play stealth, Grimlock for hack-and-slash, and Bruticus as a super-mech!
Yeah they were only a few good things I liked in Rise of the Dark Spark most of it on the cybertron category such as the dialogue from Jazz and Sideswipe,etc and were probably the only good things, but the Bayverse thing well it grew boring quickly along

I thoroughly enjoyed this doc of yours. After seeing the recent Bumblebee commercial, I remembered how fantastic War for Cyberton and Fall of Cyberton were as well as the 2004 Armada game that was my first ever Transformers video game experience. It's overall sad how the events for the Cybertron series went about but I'm also kind of glad that it ended too. Don't get me wrong, I loved these games but after Bay, Transformers really needed a low point to potentially cause a shift in direction and a franchise refresh...I hope this Bumblebee movie can influence the start of another great era of the Transformers IP. One can hope I suppose lol

I knew Dark Spark was a bad call. I was always hesitant on getting it but I'm glad I didn't. The Fall of Cybertron was always my favorite transformers game
I was hyped by dark spark and bought it soon after it was released. I was so disappointed. It is a terrible and boring game. I immediately went back to FoT in order to remind myself what a good transformers game is like.
Honestly I hope high moon studios can make a real sequel to those games even though the ending for fall of cybertron pretty much aligned with the generation 1 series which thats what I feel

Fall of Cybertron wa the first game I've ever preordered and bought all DLC for, and boy was it worth it. I adored the art style, animations, gameplay and all. After playing through the campaign 10+ times and having hundreds of hours spewed into the multiplayer, I can say this is the best game I've ever played on the PS3. I can't wait to see cybertron in Bumblebee and I really hope for another great cybertron title without greedy publishers.
Game devs like High Moon deserve all the success in the world the great amount of detail, respect, and hard work they put into their games. It's sad how badly they were treated by people who only care about money.

Craig Steward I grew up with the G1 cartoon in the 80s, and for me Fall of Cybertron is the single best piece of Transformers media of any kind. I loved playing that game.
Me too, but then you have to realize that there's and alternate universe where the Transformers franchise is hated...it's sad. Then again, that also means there's one where WE are Transformers and that's an awesome thought!
The Aligned continuity had my favorite interaction of Grimlock. They made him a leader but not dumb as a rock. They just made him hard to think. And I don’t consider the grimlock in RID to be the same grimlock from the games.
I used to be the world rank #1 WFC and FOC Scientist player on ps3 online. High Moon actually hit me up to help give them input on how to make the game's online experience and balance better. My gaming notes eventually became the first 3 patches for the ps3 version online. I sincerely appreciate you creating this content. So sad. Wish it would come back but... I used to be in a clan "UnKn0wN" back when people still played the game. I loved this game growing up. I remember I was top 400 in team deathmatch. And I was all prime in all of my characters in both games, we were in WFC then moved to FOC but I always loved WFC Multiplayer more. These games will always hold a special place in my heart. In WFC the scout was my main, i would always do a no-scope than melee and I was the strongest thing, the quick scopes had to be the funniest in WFC but they took it out in FOC. I had a friend play competitive FOC and was number 13 in the world, their clan actually got noticed by high moon.
I was 9 years old and this game is basically what made me get into online games. My dad and I would use as many of the free trials as we could over summer break, it sucked when it ran out but little kid me will always cherish the fun times

It's really disappointing that they just threw these awesome games away only because of a license expiration after all that time and creativity spent to make those games, especially War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron. They are my favorite Transformers games as well as my favorite shooting games. I was hoping for them to remaster War for Cybertron for PS4 and Xbox One like they did with Fall of Cybertron with a few fixes. There needs to have some kind of petition to bring back those games available into the latest gen consoles. Make it a thousand to show how much the Transformers gaming community desire these games.
I wish they had developed some sort of Open World Version that features the VERY Begining of the War, and you can start as Megatron, and Optimus at the beginning of the Campaign.
What a fantastic and well researched documentary! Honestly, it's great to see someone actually aware of how the industry works. The term "lazy developers" is one that's thrown around too much. There's no such thing as a lazy game dev. Believe me, game devs can move over to basic software development and make 3-5x the amount they would in games. Game devs are usually in it for the passion of what they do. The reason games fail is usually due to a lack of time, budget and in most cases both. Things the devs have zero control over.
Honestly the Cybertron games are some of my most favorite games ever and I will never forget them. They gave us a Story not really much explored up to the point of their releases a story set purely on Cybertron, and not set on Earth with (occasionally) annoying Human characters. I feel that the Movieverse and all Transformers games and stories going forward should really learn from the Cybertron games, for they truly are so awesome and explored my most favorite part of the entire Mythos. Aiden Ly Well...I think in TF: Prime the humans are very well integrated (except Miko in the early episodes, she's kinda annoying but she grow in the rest of the serie)
HMS put their heart and soul into the cybertron games. They respected the source material but also showed us a part of the lore that we never really saw before. The atmosphere was up there with other top tier games and the gameplay itself was solid. The designs for the characters are some of the best in the franchise and the campaigns in both were great. It's a shame that activision cared more about cashing in on the bay movies instead of letting HMS continue with the cybertron games. It should have been a trilogy but the corporate suits at AV robbed us of it and it's a damn shame.
This video reminded me that everything good comes to an end. To be honest, I'm pretty sure those games were my childhood, I remember playing them all day, even just repeating the missions, it was just so good, it was a fresh and original concept that haven't been approached before and that made it stand out, that made it good, but then people try to make cheap replicas to try and imitate that success, which fortunately failed, this is what happens to all good games. May you rest in peace Transformers, your time will come again one day. One day...
I used to be a god in Fall of Cybertron. I remember carrying my entire team destroying other teams and causing people to rage quit from how good I was. Fall of Cybertron was one game that I mastered. I was sad when the game dyed out. Long live Mrbluetomato (that was my profile name)

Im glad someone finally made a video laying out how HMS died. These days they just handle ports for Cod and aid Bungie in developing Destiny 2 (which isnt doing so hot.) I'm happy i got to experience War and Fall of Cybertron for what they were. Love those games and the worlds they built to death. Hearbreaking that we'll never get a sequel to Fall of Cybertron, but Im happy we got to experience what we got.

Gearshifter09 you can watch g1 or prime and call it a sequel. Intially high moon had no vision after foc because it served as a prequel to prime or g1 not so sure but all and all we got 2 great games. Rip high moon. Rip Cybertron series.
I will say the soul of High Moon is still very much alive. Destiny 2, for how lackluster it launched, received it's most recent content drop in Forsaken, which was developed by not only Bungie but a large part of the exapansion was also developed by High Moon Studios, and man does it show. There is a particular mission in the game that is reminiscent of Chapter 3 in WFC with the trains and no joke, the mission in Destiny seems pretty much like an homage to that mission in WFC. It's so good.

@ muhonen2 Yes correct. This is a shady one, especially because at the begining it was considered a budget title(I bought the game for 30 bucks on Steam ON DAY ONE...OH! And no physical release for PC) . Transformers FOC is honestly my favorite game of all time. I loved how incredibly informative the video was. I would love to play a "Return to Cybertron" game, or a game where you experience the dying landscapes of Cybertron after FOC.

WFC and FoC were works of art and perhaps some of the best Transformers-related media available. Dark Spark was not the send-off that the series deserved.
When I get the Cybertron games (War and Fall), I'll play both of 'em. Also, High Moon Studios needs to forget rise of the dark spark and give us the actual triquel to the Cybertron games.
If that happens, it'd be kinda funny if they referenced rotds through absurd outrage. Like "just got word that the decepticons are moving to a planet called Earth, and they got something called the Dark Spark with them?" Followed by autobots dismissing that idea as it contradicts their current situation or something.

I had both War for & Fall of Cybertron and for me those two were and always be the best updated cannon Story lines that the previous & next generation of fans enjoy & that was respectful and honoring the Transformers franchise as a whole!!
this video brought a tear to my eye , Woc and Foc where indeed my favorite TF games and one of my favorite continuities , its upsetting that the games have been pulled from the market places and that any used copies in the wild are going to be the only ways for others to enjoy these 2 great titles , or devastation which was decent brawler game . Activision be cursed for their handling of this IP and not making it so they could keep the catalog up to enjoy FOC was my most favorite times playing a 3rd person multiplier game mode
Last good COD game was Infinite Warfare. Destiny was never a good game to begin with; its original story and soundtrack scrapped to make a Halo MMO with barely any soul to it.
Last good COD was BOII and MW3. Destiny on the other hand is an up and down slope, it’s both good and bad at the same time and it has wicked potential but don’t put all the blame on Bungie. Let’s not forget Activision is also at fault here, Destiny still has huge potential but it can only go all out if Activision stop being so money hungry and if Bungie decide to take more advice from their players. Which they are, Bungie finally started listening and fixed their game. They are trying, it still has so much more to go but atleast it’s a step in the right direction

Came across this video after so long, yet this is a great material. I did my own research for personal curiosity and several key points are spot on. Both War and Fall of Cybertron (aka Cybertron series) are indeed the sole games I consider cannon to the excellent re-interpretation material. There was a soul and an understanding what transformers were. I do not consider the third game part of the story, but essentially because I do not consider anything the recent movies did to be cannon... I could give Bumblebee movie a pass though for those awesome 5 minutes in Cybertron. I would love for a true continuity from 1 & 2, and it could even be on Earth... It just shouldn't have "Bayham" content or aesthetics. It is so disappointing we do not have High Moon anymore, they understood respect for the source material.
Great documentary! War for Cybertron’ co-op with my bro-in-law and. niece was one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. I was crushed when they pulled it from Fall of Cybertron, but welcomed the specific character abilities and level design.
I'm sad that I couldn't experience these games when they were in their prime( because I wasn't old enough to play them yet) A real shame too, from what I have seen they were amaizing, both in story and gameplay
Man, trust me they were. I'm very sorry you couldn't experience them, especially War for Cybertron and even more especially Fall of Cybertron Best shooter games of all times if you ask me. In each chapter you had to master a different strategy, the story was soo great. Man I miss them. I feel bad for the people who were born after the games were killed.

I’ve loved Transformers ever since I was a little kid, I watched the G1 show and I was hyped like crazy for the bay movies. I remember the day I had gotten WFC and when I had gotten FOC, looking back at those titles made me sad because now many games are turning out like ROTDS where they are a cash grab (Destiny 1 & 2) and its for one reason only. The devs, typically it’s EA and Activison but what can we do? It’s not like we have billions of dollars to make new games....
Screw Rise of the Dark Spark. I consider Devastation to be the true follow-up to the Cybertron games, though the mechanical differences are highly apparent.
Man. Matt Tieger did an amazing job with the Cybertron games. Makes me really sad that a true 3rd game never came to fruition. The whole final push in War for Cybertron was so epic and intense.

Salvador Henriquez for me the game was just short and unfulfilling to play. Once done i felt no obligation to continue. It felt like it wasn’t fully planned.
I am hoping that HASBRO decides to revisit High Moon Studios and the Cybertron games. I sort of grew up on them and I still want to see the story continue from there. The developers of the Cybertron games knew what they were doing and it showed in the final product. Not a single pixel wasn't left unpolished and everything felt like it had been through the worst. Every detail was placed in just the perfect spot, every character was given life. And it is a real shame that we may never get a continuation of this story. Even if it simply explained where some characters went, like how Omega Supreme was just dropped into the 4th dimension never to be seen again, I would still probably buy it. These games are fantastic and deserve more to their story. But that may never come. I wish it would, but it may not. I have these on Xbox 360, and i have completed them a few times. Each time I do, i find new little references to other transformers media that I didn't notice the first time. Even though i have all the upgrades for all the weapons and all the perks and gadgets, they are still some fun games. I wish they would conclude the story with atleast one more game, but they might not. At least we were blessed with the two games that showed that you can create a really good transformers game if you actually care about what is being made. Farewell War/Fall of Cybertron. You will be missed.
Crazy story.. when i was younger (around 8-10) The only reason i was introduced to “transformers: war for cybetron” was because i lost the disc to “transformers: rise of the fallen” and my dad told my step mom to go to the store to buy me the same game so i would quit whining to him that i want the game. My step mom then proceeded to come back from the store the next day with the game. But when she gave me the game it wasn’t rise of the fallen. It was war for cybetron. And I didn’t fuss to much about it because it was still a transformers game and a new one so I played it with my dad a bit before he went to work and i fell in love with it. We ended up finding the rise of the fallen game under the rug😅. Later in the future i got the fall of cybetron game and was so happy. I am glad i was able to play both games without being told about it and found out about both games myself. So im glad i lost the transformers rise of the fallen game so I would be introduced to “Transformers: War for cybetron”
What the hell... Sean miller was my Intro to 3D animation teacher last semester. Now I feel even worse for being really bad at his class. Also, he's a really great guy! A very patient teacher and someone who really brought out the best in everyone who truly cared about 3D. It's a shame Activision had to restrain him and his team so much during the development of his games. This video did a great job showing that the limitations of big corporations are the root of the problem for so many studios trying to make good work.
So because High Moon made Deadpool and it was a commercial flop Activision never green lighted a final War For Cybertron game from High Moon? That's really dumb. Here's hoping they can make another one. Those games were some of the best Transformers storytelling in the last decade. My idea for the sequel: "The Death of Cybertron" Megatron and Optimus Prime are gone. Who leads the Decepticons and Autobots on Cybertron now? I'd want to see another story the fans never saw: the war on Cybertron with Shockwave as Decepticon commander and Ultra Magnus leading the last of the Autobots on a dying Cybertron. Even though it'd be a Transformers game without Megatron and Optimus, if High Moon made it I would buy it.
I miss playing Fall of Cybertron. I used to be on a team, and play tournaments as an interceptor. I would spend countless hours playing deathmatch and ctf. Those really were the good days
On the ratchet mission after he was done repairing I shot him with a rocket then he actually died like he does during the defense section but I didn't fail the mission and he kept talking to the group lol
Hasbo should rehire all the original HighMoon DEV's and make a third part where the tutorial takes place on the wreaked Auto-Bot Ark and the Decepticons are activated first like in the G1 cartoon for their campaign. I've since boycotted any Activision products since the did HighMoon dirty and removed War For Cybertron and Fall Of Cybertron from the market, now both games are sitting on my shelf gaining dust..
And not only that, but the online for both games have been shut down since April/May. So... y’know... now only memories of the matches played on those games remain.
One thing that kept me coming back to play Fall of Cybertron is the OST "The Great Exodus" is one of the best video game soundtrack i have ever listened to. And i listened to a lot of video game soundtracks
Escalation was easily my favorite part of both games. Both War and Fall had their own good and bad when it came to Escalation. Multiplayer on Fall was also really fun. Scientist was always my favorite class. I could handle myself with the other classes but I was really competitive on the scientist. I even changed my name on steam to Sky Commander and often played with a clan. Its a shame both games had hackers which really ruined the experience occasionally.
Transformers: Armada (PS2), Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (PS3-X360-PC) are the best Transformers games, in my opinion! xD
I hear so many people talking about how good WOC and FOC were but I personally have never tried them. I have tried Transformers: The game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Transformers: Rise Of the Dark Spark. I liked the TF: the game but revenge of the fallen was absolutely garbage and rise of the dark spark was okay I just didn't like it as much as I did the first transformers.

I thoroughly enjoyed this doc of yours. After seeing the recent Bumblebee commercial, I remembered how fantastic War for Cyberton and Fall of Cyberton were as well as the 2004 Armada game that was my first ever Transformers video game experience. It's overall sad how the events for the Cybertron series went about but I'm also kind of glad that it ended too. Don't get me wrong, I loved these games but after Bay, Transformers really needed a low point to potentially cause a shift in direction and a franchise refresh...I hope this Bumblebee movie can influence the start of another great era of the Transformers IP. One can hope I suppose lol

Fall of Cybertron wa the first game I've ever preordered and bought all DLC for, and boy was it worth it. I adored the art style, animations, gameplay and all. After playing through the campaign 10+ times and having hundreds of hours spewed into the multiplayer, I can say this is the best game I've ever played on the PS3. I can't wait to see cybertron in Bumblebee and I really hope for another great cybertron title without greedy publishers.
Game devs like High Moon deserve all the success in the world the great amount of detail, respect, and hard work they put into their games. It's sad how badly they were treated by people who only care about money.

I used to be in a clan "UnKn0wN" back when people still played the game. I loved this game growing up. I remember I was top 400 in team deathmatch. And I was all prime in all of my characters in both games, we were in WFC then moved to FOC but I always loved WFC Multiplayer more. These games will always hold a special place in my heart. In WFC the scout was my main, i would always do a no-scope than melee and I was the strongest thing, the quick scopes had to be the funniest in WFC but they took it out in FOC. I had a friend play competitive FOC and was number 13 in the world, their clan actually got noticed by high moon.

It's really disappointing that they just threw these awesome games away only because of a license expiration after all that time and creativity spent to make those games, especially War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron. They are my favorite Transformers games as well as my favorite shooting games. I was hoping for them to remaster War for Cybertron for PS4 and Xbox One like they did with Fall of Cybertron with a few fixes.
There needs to have some kind of petition to bring back those games available into the latest gen consoles. Make it a thousand to show how much the Transformers gaming community desire these games.

Honestly, it's great to see someone actually aware of how the industry works. The term "lazy developers" is one that's thrown around too much. There's no such thing as a lazy game dev. Believe me, game devs can move over to basic software development and make 3-5x the amount they would in games. Game devs are usually in it for the passion of what they do.
The reason games fail is usually due to a lack of time, budget and in most cases both. Things the devs have zero control over.
Honestly the Cybertron games are some of my most favorite games ever and I will never forget them. They gave us a Story not really much explored up to the point of their releases a story set purely on Cybertron, and not set on Earth with (occasionally) annoying Human characters. I feel that the Movieverse and all Transformers games and stories going forward should really learn from the Cybertron games, for they truly are so awesome and explored my most favorite part of the entire Mythos. Anyway loved this video RBG, it is so brilliant!!!! :) #TillAllGamersR1

HMS put their heart and soul into the cybertron games. They respected the source material but also showed us a part of the lore that we never really saw before. The atmosphere was up there with other top tier games and the gameplay itself was solid. The designs for the characters are some of the best in the franchise and the campaigns in both were great.
It's a shame that activision cared more about cashing in on the bay movies instead of letting HMS continue with the cybertron games. It should have been a trilogy but the corporate suits at AV robbed us of it and it's a damn shame.

To be honest, I'm pretty sure those games were my childhood, I remember playing them all day, even just repeating the missions, it was just so good, it was a fresh and original concept that haven't been approached before and that made it stand out, that made it good, but then people try to make cheap replicas to try and imitate that success, which fortunately failed, this is what happens to all good games. Im glad someone finally made a video laying out how HMS died. These days they just handle ports for Cod and aid Bungie in developing Destiny 2 (which isnt doing so hot.) I'm happy i got to experience War and Fall of Cybertron for what they were. Love those games and the worlds they built to death. Gearshifter09 you can watch g1 or prime and call it a sequel. Intially high moon had no vision after foc because it served as a prequel to prime or g1 not so sure but all and all we got 2 great games. Rip high moon. Rip Cybertron series.
I will say the soul of High Moon is still very much alive. Destiny 2, for how lackluster it launched, received it's most recent content drop in Forsaken, which was developed by not only Bungie but a large part of the exapansion was also developed by High Moon Studios, and man does it show. There is a particular mission in the game that is reminiscent of Chapter 3 in WFC with the trains and no joke, the mission in Destiny seems pretty much like an homage to that mission in WFC. It's so good.

Yes correct. This is a shady one, especially because at the begining it was considered a budget title(I bought the game for 30 bucks on Steam ON DAY ONE...OH! And no physical release for PC) . Apparently Activision gave High Moon a very little budget, with Activision constantly asking for cuts or money restrictions and no liberty(so yeah the jokes of Deadpool on the budget are real!).

Transformers FOC is honestly my favorite game of all time. I loved how incredibly informative the video was. I would love to play a "Return to Cybertron" game, or a game where you experience the dying landscapes of Cybertron after FOC.

The Transformers Armada PS2 game was the shit, I must have played it for hundreds if not thousands of hours as a kid.
There was a lot of replay value with that game.
WFC and FoC were works of art and perhaps some of the best Transformers-related media available. Dark Spark was not the send-off that the series deserved.

Last good COD was BOII and MW3. Destiny on the other hand is an up and down slope, it’s both good and bad at the same time and it has wicked potential but don’t put all the blame on Bungie. Let’s not forget Activision is also at fault here, Destiny still has huge potential but it can only go all out if Activision stop being so money hungry and if Bungie decide to take more advice from their players. Which they are, Bungie finally started listening and fixed their game. They are trying, it still has so much more to go but atleast it’s a step in the right direction

Came across this video after so long, yet this is a great material. I did my own research for personal curiosity and several key points are spot on.
Both War and Fall of Cybertron (aka Cybertron series) are indeed the sole games I consider cannon to the excellent re-interpretation material. There was a soul and an understanding what transformers were.
I do not consider the third game part of the story, but essentially because I do not consider anything the recent movies did to be cannon... I could give Bumblebee movie a pass though for those awesome 5 minutes in Cybertron.
I would love for a true continuity from 1 & 2, and it could even be on Earth... It just shouldn't have "Bayham" content or aesthetics. It is so disappointing we do not have High Moon anymore, they understood respect for the source material.

Best shooter games of all times if you ask me. In each chapter you had to master a different strategy, the story was soo great. Man I miss them. I feel bad for the people who were born after the games were killed.

I tried, but I lost the ability to play for awhile and when I returned I was striped of the ability to unlock the Multiplayer trophies.

I’ve loved Transformers ever since I was a little kid, I watched the G1 show and I was hyped like crazy for the bay movies. I remember the day I had gotten WFC and when I had gotten FOC, looking back at those titles made me sad because now many games are turning out like ROTDS where they are a cash grab (Destiny 1 & 2) and its for one reason only. The devs, typically it’s EA and Activison but what can we do? It’s not like we have billions of dollars to make new games....

Man. Matt Tieger did an amazing job with the Cybertron games. Makes me really sad that a true 3rd game never came to fruition. The whole final push in War for Cybertron was so epic and intense.
Why do people also keep saying WFC and FOC is a prequel to transformers prime?
Because they technically are. Prime is a loose continuation of the Cybertron games along with the other cartoons like Robots in Disguise.

I was suspecting they were sequels a while ago until RID came out since grimlock looks nothing like his FOC colors I figured it was too good to be true.
RID shied away from the continuity that these games started, so their Sideswipe, Grimlock, Kickback and others are intended to be new characters.
I think they said somewhere that as there are more Dinobot characters now, Grimlock is now a common Trex Dinobot name..

Salvador Henriquez for me the game was just short and unfulfilling to play. Once done i felt no obligation to continue. It felt like it wasn’t fully planned.
I am hoping that HASBRO decides to revisit High Moon Studios and the Cybertron games. I sort of grew up on them and I still want to see the story continue from there. The developers of the Cybertron games knew what they were doing and it showed in the final product. Not a single pixel wasn't left unpolished and everything felt like it had been through the worst. Every detail was placed in just the perfect spot, every character was given life. And it is a real shame that we may never get a continuation of this story. Even if it simply explained where some characters went, like how Omega Supreme was just dropped into the 4th dimension never to be seen again, I would still probably buy it. These games are fantastic and deserve more to their story. But that may never come. I wish it would, but it may not. I have these on Xbox 360, and i have completed them a few times. Each time I do, i find new little references to other transformers media that I didn't notice the first time. Even though i have all the upgrades for all the weapons and all the perks and gadgets, they are still some fun games. I wish they would conclude the story with atleast one more game, but they might not. At least we were blessed with the two games that showed that you can create a really good transformers game if you actually care about what is being made. Farewell War/Fall of Cybertron. You will be missed.
Crazy story.. when i was younger (around 8-10) The only reason i was introduced to “transformers: war for cybetron” was because i lost the disc to “transformers: rise of the fallen” and my dad told my step mom to go to the store to buy me the same game so i would quit whining to him that i want the game. My step mom then proceeded to come back from the store the next day with the game. But when she gave me the game it wasn’t rise of the fallen. It was war for cybetron. And I didn’t fuss to much about it because it was still a transformers game and a new one so I played it with my dad a bit before he went to work and i fell in love with it. We ended up finding the rise of the fallen game under the rug😅. Later in the future i got the fall of cybetron game and was so happy. I am glad i was able to play both games without being told about it and found out about both games myself. So im glad i lost the transformers rise of the fallen game so I would be introduced to “Transformers: War for cybetron”
What the hell... Sean miller was my Intro to 3D animation teacher last semester. Now I feel even worse for being really bad at his class.
Also, he's a really great guy! A very patient teacher and someone who really brought out the best in everyone who truly cared about 3D. It's a shame Activision had to restrain him and his team so much during the development of his games. This video did a great job showing that the limitations of big corporations are the root of the problem for so many studios trying to make good work.
So because High Moon made Deadpool and it was a commercial flop Activision never green lighted a final War For Cybertron game from High Moon? That's really dumb. Here's hoping they can make another one. Those games were some of the best Transformers storytelling in the last decade.
My idea for the sequel: "The Death of Cybertron" Megatron and Optimus Prime are gone. Who leads the Decepticons and Autobots on Cybertron now? I'd want to see another story the fans never saw: the war on Cybertron with Shockwave as Decepticon commander and Ultra Magnus leading the last of the Autobots on a dying Cybertron. Even though it'd be a Transformers game without Megatron and Optimus, if High Moon made it I would buy it.
Unfortunately it's too late. They sat on the license until it expired. So now Hsbro has been completely invested in mobile games.
I miss playing Fall of Cybertron. I used to be on a team, and play tournaments as an interceptor. I would spend countless hours playing deathmatch and ctf. Those really were the good days

On the ratchet mission after he was done repairing I shot him with a rocket then he actually died like he does during the defense section but I didn't fail the mission and he kept talking to the group lol
I miss this game it really changed my life from going out and finding problem to get into to being a gamer truly missed 😥😢
G1 Optimus is actually DLC from Fall of Cybertron so dark spark stole that too.
Hasbo should rehire all the original HighMoon DEV's and make a third part where the tutorial
takes place on the wreaked Auto-Bot Ark and the Decepticons are activated first like in the G1 cartoon for their campaign.
I've since boycotted any Activision products since the did HighMoon dirty and removed War For Cybertron and Fall Of Cybertron from the market,
now both games are sitting on my shelf gaining dust..
And not only that, but the online for both games have been shut down since April/May. So... y’know... now only memories of the matches played on those games remain.
Now I want to kick myself in the face for never getting FoC.
That would be fun. I'd go back for that:)

One thing that kept me coming back to play Fall of Cybertron is the OST
"The Great Exodus" is one of the best video game soundtrack i have ever listened to. And i listened to a lot of video game soundtracks
Escalation was easily my favorite part of both games. Both War and Fall had their own good and bad when it came to Escalation.
Multiplayer on Fall was also really fun. Scientist was always my favorite class. I could handle myself with the other classes but I was really competitive on the scientist. I even changed my name on steam to Sky Commander and often played with a clan.
Its a shame both games had hackers which really ruined the experience occasionally.

Transformers: Armada (PS2), Transformers: War for Cybertron and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (PS3-X360-PC) are the best Transformers games, in my opinion! xD

I hear so many people talking about how good WOC and FOC were but I personally have never tried them. I have tried Transformers: The game, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, and Transformers: Rise Of the Dark Spark.
I liked the TF: the game but revenge of the fallen was absolutely garbage and rise of the dark spark was okay I just didn't like it as much as I did the first transformers.
