I have seen some use their foot sideways under the tire to help hold it up when installing it back onto the bike. Also saw a guy place a tie-down strap over the seat and down both sides of the wheel and under the rim at 12 O'Clock posiiton (the top). He then ratched the tie-down to lift the wheel up. No straining on his body this way and no need to rush. Takes less than a minute then. The riders I know love the Missions but they are not great for deeper mud and deeper sand. Hard pack, gravel,... and pavement they are among the best dual tires available. There are great for the type of riding I do with my ADV bike. I do my more offroad intense stuff with my KTM 330 XC TPI, 2 stroke enduro.
Thanks for your comment. In my case I planning doing more gravel and dry dirt road and pavement so I think they are gonna be perfert and I wish you lots of fun riding🍻🍻
Excellent tire! I'm on my second set! Great gravel and light offroad tire! Fire roads and shallow sand are no problem!! Superb highway performance too!
They are a good on road dirt/gravel tire but as others have said worthless in mud and sand. I pulled them off my GSA in less than 2000 miles, no sideways grip in the muddy conditions…put on Anakee Wilds…(Wilds are great but loud on road) I live on rural property with dirt roads plus dirt mud trails…am curious on the raids though. Good luck be safe!
I've had a pair of Michelin Anakee Adventure put on mine, as being based here in England, I won't be doing as much off road stuff as you sadly, so wanted something more road focused, but that will still work well on light off road.
Hi. I’m curious what you think of these tire compare to the Mixtour? I had the mission front tire on my T7 and find the rubber hard/slippery compare to the original Pirreli scorpion STR, but like alot the tread pattern….Now i got the same bike as you (800de)…got recall from Suzuki, and change my tire for the Dunlop trailmax raid……WHAT A GREAT TIRE….LOVE IT. Is almost quiet as the Mixtour, stick to the asphalt very well, offroad, gravel, etc….no problem. The compound is very soft with alot of silica compare to the Mission. I can’t get more happy. You should try it next…
You are right. The trailmax mission are quiet and good on pavement and ok on gravel but I'm going for the mission raid for my next set of tires. For someone who will do only pavement the mission are perfect but I realize that with a bike like the v-strom 800 I need more grip when I go off road. So it's always about what you're going to go with the bike right. And the v-strom is fantastic off road so yes I need the trailmax raid too. Thanks for the comment.
Can I suggest. Don’t work on a dirty bike, it only takes a few minutes to clean and then everything is easier and better. You can regrease, clean bearing tops, properly grease chain inside and outside etc.
@@Jacklacasse to each their own i guess.. i only know that if i have a small 2$ chinese tire repair with me and tubeless tire i can fix a flat..with these tires i can not
I hope you don't plan on riding off road with those tires..for the exact same price you could have gotten the dunlop trailmax raid or anything from motoz..sorry but the trailmax mission is the worst tire of what's available for the same price..
by off road you meant what? gravel and dirt should be alright tho and the price was very good i will try then anyway now that they are on. I will probably do more pave road and gravel. Thank you for comment
@@Jacklacasse this is a 60/40 at best or at worst 70/30😮 onroad/offroad tire, you will do more than fine on gravel and intermediate offroad stuff but not in mud or sand. I am coming off a dunlop raid set and this will be my next set or mitas e07+ dakar. You have selected a great tire.
It is a great tire. Just keep your ego in check and build good skills, and this tire will perform. It's not an enduro tire, though. I have read that due to its hard compound it may fall out in turns in cold and wet conditions.

Thanks for the tip about the sensor. I'm also thinking about those tires as well or the Dunlop Rally Raid for my bike.
Glad to help and the Dunlop rally raid looks great too, more aggressive. I might go with these on my next set of tires.

Yes they are really on pavement but I was surprised on how pretty good they are on dirt /gravel road. I have a set on my other bike (Honda 500cbx)

thx for the video. isnt chain too tight?
@@alvarosanchez2426 lol yes it was didn't realise how tight it was when I finished to film
hello from us in Italy, with speed code T we cannot fit them.. too bad
Hello 👍
Obrigado aviso sensor ABS 🔝 AQUI BRASIL 🇧🇷
Já estou caçando uma dicas por aqui também heheh
In order to install tubeless tires do we have to swap the rims ?
There is some video on TH-cam showing how guys did it without buying tubeless wheel, but I wouldn't do it. Just my preference.
