Wanted to say real quick thanks for the guide. I took a list closely similar to this after some personal preferences added in for locals today and went 3-1, beating 2 Fire King Snake Eyes 2-0 and a Salad 2-1 while losing to Kash 1-2. Honestly after the games against FKSE, I feel like this has all the tools SPECIFICALLY to counter that deck. Askaan banishing Flamberge Dragon when it hits the board is extremely impactful, and Deep Beyond on a Fire King Island from Sanctuary line crumbles their deck for the most part. Also, the resource management and looping with the deck, I had a 25 minute game 1 against FKSE with them going first and I won it by grinding them out to their last card. Askaan and Arianpos are the GOATS. Cheers, looking forward to the other versions of Ghoti you'll be highlighting!
I heavily agree with your assessment on lupine and supay techs. I actually really like the field spell and the white reincarnation package together but they play a little heavier into droll and I wouldn’t play either without the other.
Curious about your thoughts on Synchro Zone. It’s a continuous trap that prevents both players from attacking with anything other than synchros which I found really useful when the opponent just goes to battle without committing much in order to run over the Tuners. Plus it can just straight up floodgate some decks that don’t run synchros and can’t out the card. It also allows you to quick synchro, which is good for if your opponent Imperms your tuners during the standby phase as soon as the summon themselves. The quick synchro also has no restrictions on it so you could pick Baronne or any other generic
Addendum: Shifter is really tricky. Ghoti is actually pretty mid into Shifter, but it should still be enough considering all other Meta-decks get completely shut down by it. If you dont want it, play Droll and Veiler instead (cut the Reis Map and either Hop Ears or play less Beautunaful or Leaffish). Nibiru + Imperm/Veiler is pretty much GG against every deck right now, except Lab. But Lab the Lab matchup is pretty favorable for us if because our Grindgame has so many banishing.
I dont like it much because how are you summoning it when you have like, shif and mainairuka? Theres no effects being activated. Maybe if youre playing white aura stuff
How good is ghotti going second? Im looking for a new Deck or my First Deck to Go more competitiv. Im looking for a Deck who is good going First, can Play into Boards with Engine (what i mean is not dieng on one or two negates) and a Deck who have Not that one way(Not Like Voiceless where is every line the Same)
Ghoti really dies from getting interrupted once or twice at the start since the engine doesn't have starters (Lifeless is good but it can get ashed, perma, veiler and other 1000 negates, plus it takes your normal Psiics require you to have already some fish in rotation, unless you want to banish from hand) A good way to break into boards I use is to lock yourself into water by using Marincess Coral Anemone and then using Zealantis to banish and resummon everything, except non-water monster since you are locked, but it's a reaaaally slow process

Thanks for watching!
Excited for this series! I always like hearing your rationale on cards to play (or not), I really think it sets this channel apart in a nice way
Appreciate that, hope you like the rest

It’s an interesting idea at least, but it being a trap isnt great since it’ll only be good if you go first and set it up
@@phantomsygo for sure, it’s definitely a side deck only card
You can make the white aura engine much more consistent with abyss shark, mermaid shark, and abyss keeper
Yeah you just sacrifice a lot of nonengine to fit all that stuff
When does the new ghoti cards out on master duel?

@@tongatapu7325 Why not "Hop Ears" ? It can make more interrupts
You have decklist of your version ?
Youre not using arionpos gy eff?
I shouldve, if i didnt then it was an oversight on my part
What are your thoughts on having minairuka at 3?
I dont like it much because how are you summoning it when you have like, shif and mainairuka? Theres no effects being activated. Maybe if youre playing white aura stuff
@phantomsygo fair enough, but yeah i have sardine at 3 with sunfish at 1

Yeah it’s not very resilient to interruption honestly
