  • Hello 👋 Guys! This was my first cake 🍰 of the New Year, but we had tech issues so here it is... It’s a Lemon 🍋 Glaze Pound Cake 🍰 and Eric said it is DELICIOUS 😋! This is the year for cakes 🍰 for OUR CHANNEL, I will be welcoming your ideas 💡 and comments on what cakes 🍰 you would like for me to attempt to make for the TNT 🧨 Community! I truly hope you guys try this recipe and let us know how it turns out, it’s a very simple recipe. We want to say thank you to ALL of our SUBSCRIBERS we APPRECIATE you guys so very much.     Lemon 🍋 Glaze Pound Cake 🍰
    Ingredients:
    Dry-
    3 Cups of White Lily Flour
    1 Tsp of Baking Soda
    3 Cups of Dixie Crystal Sugar
    Wet-
    2 Sticks of Land O Lakes Butter and 1/2 Sticks of Butter Crisco Shortening
    5 Large Eggs
    1/4 Cup of Lemon Juice
    The Zest of 1 Lemon
    1 Cup of Butter Milk
    1 Tsp of Lemon Extract
    2 Tsp of Vanilla Extract
    Glaze
    1 2/3 Cups of Domino’s Confectioners Sugar
    Juice from the Real Lemon
    1 Tsp of Vanilla Extract

    Just came across this cake and it looks wonderful. You give such clear directions in your calming voice. I notice that you clean as you go & I'm the same way. I don't like to be overcome by mess as I cook. Keep cooking ❤

    Hello WOG I stayed up last night until 2:00am this morning baking your lemon pound cake for my Insurance agent because he blessed me I added3 extra eggs and a whole bottle of lemon extract to the batter To be honest I was scared I had messed the cake up because the batter was so soupy but guess what I baked it on 325 for 1:20 min and it was so pretty I added some lemon and lime zest on the top of my glaze and it came out perfect your gonna start making me charge people can’t wait for my next one to try I find peace and enjoyment at night when I’m baking them thanks to you 🥰🤗🤗🤗

    Hey Mrs Theresa, I really enjoyed watching you make your cake. Will have to try it with the crisco (love old school recipes, reminds me of my grandmother!) I know it was good, your husband was speechless, enjoying his cake. Awesome!!

    very good looking cake i was wondering what i need to do too make my cakes stand tall and stay they start out good then for some reason while cooling they shrink what advice could you give me

    I notice you use the wisk instead of the paddle..does the wisk make a difference in creaming a lemon pound cake? Or does it not matter which one you use?

      Yes, I noticed this also in your latest cakes and wondered why the switch from the paddle.
      Your cakes have always been the best with great texture and looked soooo delicious❗️

      Hello 👋 @Mrs. Fleet, thanks for watching and commenting. I used the wisk attachment because to me I noticed the cakes come out so much fluffier. That’s what I’ve noticed. Also, I just like to switch it sometimes. 🤩💕

    Teresa, maybe next time show the procedure for the REAL lemon zest
    Some may not know that process.
    However, I made your recipe vs. mine and it was a hit😋
    We loved it.
    I will continue to make mine but added your recipe to my recipe file as well👌🏾

      I've also seen several recipes on a lemon pound cake recipe: most required only 3 to 4 eqqs. Both My grandmother's always used 6 eqqs in all their cakes, and 5 eqqs in the 7up pound cake!!

      @@cookingwithtonya1269 I’ve always heard that a pound cake requires a pound of each ingredient that’s why I use the 6 eggs. Honestly I used to only use 6 jumbo eggs instead of large eggs, occasionally I still do. 💕

      @ Mrs. Teresa... I agree the large eqqs now are not that big so I'm thinking about starting to use 6 jumbo eqqs in my pound cakes from here on. I love a nice fluffy moist cake instead of a real heavy cake!

      Cooking with Tonya, I makes lemon cake all the time and I uses a lot of lemon juice as well because it takes the lemon cake over the top

    Teresa. , I cooked the lemon glaze pound cake but it ran out the pan in the oven. I’m wondering what I did wrong. I’m using the bund pan that I always bake in. I notice your video you have six eggs but your recipe said five. I followed everything to a T.

      @Mary Bradshaw... I use 12cup bundt cake pans for all my pound cakes that size holds alot of cake batter... anytime you use 5 or 6 eggs 3cups flour 3cups sugar that's a big cake!

      It’s a 10 but 12 can be used just will not rise as much. It’s still a good size
