It’s an okay idea however I custom build each reel n rods combo and I’m old school aftco n alps reel seats however that being said pier jetty bay or local kelp bed fishing I can see the interest so I give 1 thumbs up
Yes, it is for new builds. Think about it. When you go out and buy a new rod, ussually you buy a rod to go with it. Why would you not just buy it with the Reelquick system? On our built rods, the price is the same as Seekers price with a truditional reelseat.
I agree, I like the setup, problem is if you already (have) custom rods that you like. I have a hard time and smaller bank account trying to justify getting rid of my custom rods. However in my future builds I will definitely want to purchase these.
Great idea. Now make it simpler to attach to different rod and reels. If you can make the mounting more universal, it would be awesome. The quick swap is a cool idea. This is just too proprietary. Very cool nevertheless.
Hey Manny, We are working on the clamp for deckhand style. It's very universal. We have adapted to all Accurate reels, all Avet all Shimano and now working on Penn and Okuma. haven't done them all, give us a little more time.
it's very interesting reel seat to me , oh and by the way IL be coming out there sometime this yr to see every body and Steve IL need ur help in getting set up with rods and reels , and tackle to , be seeing yall , 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Looks like a great idea to me. Especially good for using 1 reel on a couple different rods on a trip. Good luck with what looks like a well thought out product
They are a bit expensive to put on all your rods but a great idea if you had one reel or rod that you wanted to fish different reels or rods on. If they can get the price down I would build some rods with them for sure.
The reel seat is basically the same price as other reel seats in the same level of quality. The existing built rod we have, are the same price. there is an extra expense for each reel foot we change out, but it's worth it.

a closed up of it would be helpful , to see how it works , is it just for deckhand style rods?
Hi Tony
We are working on ReelQuick clamp for deckhand style jig sticks. I can add you to the list and push the designer. The clamp is the #1request

More info would be nice. How much does it cost? Can I put it on any deckhand rod? Will it fit a baitcaster like a Lexa or Tranx?
Hi
Use microphone that is attached to you not in camera and quality of clips will be next to none.
Thanks for the good channel
This is a great idea. I used one of these last time I was on the legend. Great item fast setup
You’re fishing 40-50# drag?
Be interested if it was an accessory that you could mount on any deckhand style rod
We are working on the clamp style ReelQuick dovetail reel seat. Stand by for that design
Great Video RQ and Steve
Great idea! Unfortunately you have to have a custom rod built or tear off the existing and replace. 😢
