I really liked my D7100 but the bending issues were pretty annoying and it was there (sold). Nikon D7200 pixel counts do differ ever so slightly thanks to slight adjustments on its new sensor. Another great addition to the top LCD display was the Meter Indicator as found on some of the Nikon’s pro bodies. The dynamic range on this camera is rated 14.6 EV and that’s a big deal for landscape photography. The bracketing function is one of the best I’ve used so far with 3 to 5 brackets at 0.3, 0.7, 1.0, 2, 3.0 EV and 7 to 9 brackets at 0.3, 0.5, 1.0 EV. The bracketing on my A7 SUCKS BIG TIME!!! Really pleased!
Excellent Work Camerahoarders, I also upgraded from my D7100 and bought a D7200, it is way better as offers much better autofocus system, flat picture profiling, auto iso control in video mode way better low light shooting, faster buffer, better battery life and great time lapse video option i think theses points should be enough to explain why a D7200 is a way better camera then the D7100 and not to forget the wifi and nfc options as well: Happy Shooting Everbody

Agreed. It should never show the hourglass when the play button is pressed. Also dedicated ISO and WB needed. I would give up the i button for iso.
I recently bought the D 7200 in preference to the D 7500 , for a couple of reasons , one being the 2 card system , which is great for holidays 2 X 32 gb cards on jpeg high mean that if one of your memory cards is corrupted , you don't loose all your precious memories as would be the case with the newer model - ALSO the price difference means I can stock up on batteries and memory cards etc
( I also have the D 7000 and the focusing is noticeably faster on the D 7200 ) .I'm no video fan, so the video side of things doesn't concern me .
WHAT ANNOYS ME about the D 7200 +18-140 kit is the penny pinching by Nikon not to include a lens hood , and the size of the guide book means even with reading glasses , I am hard pressed to actually understand and utilise the full potential of my new camera

D7200 is an awesome camera, i have my old D7000 still doing it's job very well. I wish D7200 had the 1080 video shooting without crop mode. I'll wait for the D7300 :)
+Stefan Foto Hiya just to let you know the D7200 DOES shoot 1080p WITHOUT using the crop mode, I have owned the D7200 for 4 months now and shoot alot of video on it, and it does 1080p fine you dont need to put it into crop mode.

You have probably slow SD cards for 14b RAW. You need write speed about 80MB/s or 90MB/s. But very nice review Thanks.
at low iso in the shadows the D7100 is a better camera, this has been confirmed by several reviewers but above iso 2500 the d7200 is the king for crop sensors
MrSoapdodger I'm sorry, but this is wrong information. D7100 has banding in the shadows at ISO 100. There was quite a fuss about it when it was discovered two years ago. D7200 is brutally better.
komandold Tnx! I would say D7200 is better, this camera truly impressed me, D600/D610 are just ordinary excellent. Main D600 advantage is high ISO, but stock sites require low ISO shots without a single grain of noise, so D7200 on ISO 100 should be better choice.

I've never used Pentax cameras, but I doubt any onther sensor can compete with this new 24MP sensor in image quality.

put the canon 6d on iso50 and you will see cleaner files than the Nikon d7200,wich is still amazing crop camer,its a little bit strange...but thats the reality...canon 6d on iso100 and the nikon d7200 on iso100,the nikon wins...but if you put the canon on his lower iso50 the canon wins!!!

I know this is an excellent camera. Still, I'm still not buying until Lightroom can support D7200. 'Til now, it wont import Raw files from D7200.
If Lightroon can release the latest version, then that's the time I'm buying D7200.
edgenike That's strange there is no update for Lightroom... i opened them in camera RAW 9.0 for this review, that was 20 days ago. But you could use DNG converter though...

I think to buy a used D7200 (Shutter count only 3500) with the Sigma 150 - 600 mm F5,0-6,3 DG OS HSM Contemporary (only 100 pictures made with this lens), the Nikkor 18-105 mm, the Nikkor 55-200 mm and the Nikkor 18-55 mm. The price would be overall 800 €. Do you think this is a suitable allround setup for shooting wildlife, landscapes portraits etc. and what would you think of the price? And is the camera still good because its not the newest model of nikon.

D7200 is still perfectly usable, sensor tech has not progessed much since then. Price seems right, but resell 18-55 and 55-200, they are redundant in this set. Keep 18-105 with Sigma and buy 35mm 1.8 DX for portraits and low light.
How does the JPEG colours of the D7200 compare to the Canon 6D mark 1? Great video review 👍
I was never particualarly keen on Nikon JPEGs... Canon colors are more to my taste, but I shoot RAW 99% of the time anyway.
For large format printing (24x36") would you recommend 6D classic or D7200 for color and detail if you shoot and edit RAW files?

+Rakib Hasan D7200 is probably better choice - sensor is brutal. 7Dmk2 is more of a sports camera.

better sensor = beter IQ. Get the Nikon.

If 1080p 60fps it crops to 1.3x on video. Does that mean worse in low light due to less sensor being used?
No, I don't think so. It just gives more narrow field of view.
Would you recommend this is or the d5500 for someone just starting out, but wanting to get more serious about photography?
M McG For a starter this is overkill. D5500 is more than enough to master photography and use is for a few years.
M McG if you are kinda geeky, I wud say 7200 or 7100 which is way cheaper.

D7200 for sure it's more professional than D5600 it has more option and features i has d5300 and i w'll upgrade to d7200 :)

No. I even prefer 80D for default color rendering.
