streaming works fine with narrative games, just depends on the audience. If Tony and his chat were invested in the actual game this would be cool to follow him and his experience with it, but it wasn't for him not his chat.
What's crazy is when this version of the game came out and people streamed it, like JackSepticEye, the developer actively was updating a website about the stanley parable but with pictures of Sean playing it. It became even more meta humor. Streaming narrative games isn't bad, but I think Tony should've been warned going into this that it was a chill game with a lot of story, but not a lot of gameplay.
Not all of us do. I use brave browser for no ads but it comes with a less refinement and some bugs, but I can't use emoji's. What's crazy, to me, is that while Tony is getting some of the more interesting and introspective choices and dialog, he misses the meaning thru his impatience and need to be entertained. Fascinating He should really stick to sports games, platformers, action adventure, linear games, maybe even some horror games like RE or Dead Space. The creator of The Stanley Parable made another game called “The Beginner’s Guide” , which I highly recommend to anyone interested . it’s a narrative game , takes about an hour and a half to two hours to play , and has a LOT going on with it . Yeah the amount of comments like „you gotta research“, „you don‘t get it“ „Tik Tok brain“ Maybe it‘s just not for him?? I personally love this game, but it‘s clearly not his style. This is a game that will literally never give you a true payoff or a dopamine rush, that‘s basically it‘s entire point and that‘s not for everyone. I personally really loved it, but I also love reading long fantasy books or watch hours long video essays about topics I find interesting, doesn‘t mean everyone has to be like that. This game has basically only 3 things on offer: some interesting things to say, humor you may or may not find funny and an insane amount of interactivity. But that interactivity is entirely narrative and in a very non video gamey way.
@@gama2064 I didn’t expect him to like it from jump, truthfully. Not because I didn’t/don’t have faith in his media literacy skills, but based on his gaming track record, he’s never seemed like the type to play a game like this; the closest thing to a non-video game while also being a video game. I applaud him for giving it a chance, though.
@@garyprimmjr7392 Yeah agreed. The game is much more about dissecting video game tropes, which I‘m not sure is something that even interests Tony. I think something like the Titanfall 2 campaign would be much more up his alley, fun and fast. I think people recommended this because it‘s a lot more fun to see someone react to than most other games, like I personally find watching someone play an fps for long times pretty boring, I‘d rather play them myself. But seeing their reaction to an interactive story? That‘s interesting to me.
You gotta research a game before playing it and give up on a game instead of sitting there complaining. Painful first 30 minutes and I doubt he gives the game a chance at any point. I have no idea who recommended this to him cause he is not the type of person to play a walking simulator, I blame them.

Tony playing Stanley parable (PARABLE, A STORY), and not understanding that the whole point of the game is the narrator talking, is forever gonna be hilarious to me
Tony, if this game went over your head, lemme explain it this way: The Stanley Parable is the video game equivalent of that guy who put up a urinal in an art gallery. Lowkey deep game if you listen to what it's trying to say, but at the end of the day average gamers don't care about this shit.
The crazy thing is, I disagree with basically every other comment you made, this one I kinda agree with tho. Less the urinal art comparison, but I think the second part is pretty spot on. I believe it can be enjoyed by average gamers, fucking with the narrator is fun and there is something here for most (not everyone). I‘d kinda compare it to the Dune movies, those are pretty artsy which is why their director never had big successes before, but people still enjoy them because they‘re interesting.
I think a lethal shrooms overdose is kinda like the ending where Stanley just straight up dies after running around screaming. Brain aneurysm type shit

What's crazy is when this version of the game came out and people streamed it, like JackSepticEye, the developer actively was updating a website about the stanley parable but with pictures of Sean playing it. It became even more meta humor. Streaming narrative games isn't bad, but I think Tony should've been warned going into this that it was a chill game with a lot of story, but not a lot of gameplay.
ive never seen someone hate the stanley parrable so much :sob:
bro you have emojis
Not all of us do. I use brave browser for no ads but it comes with a less refinement and some bugs, but I can't use emoji's. I also can't edit or reply directly to someone, if I want to so either I have to swap to the app. Same with uploading, hell sorting playlists, quite a bit.
Still worth it tho.

Bro’s attention span is cooked lmao. Makes for fun content with other games at least, thanks for giving it a fair shot.
Tony is the guys the Narrator talks about in the Extra content lol
What's crazy, to me, is that while Tony is getting some of the more interesting and introspective choices and dialog, he misses the meaning thru his impatience and need to be entertained.
Fascinating
He should really stick to sports games, platformers, action adventure, linear games, maybe even some horror games like RE or Dead Space.
TLOU and RDR2 has shown me open world and story driven games are a touch to much for him
i really hope he reads comments like this so he’ll stop trying things that are beyond his comprehension
@Billiam_Philliam I'm not saying he should stop or that he doesn't get it.
What I am saying is that he's not patient. He's admitted several times that he's not a gamer like that or ever was one to begin with. If anything, watching him play without the nuances of these games is hilariously frustrating and refreshing. Makes me wanna play the games again.
The game genres I mentioned are ones that I think best suit his format or he envisions video games are about.
@@nopillzero make sense
Some prolly trolled him by recommending this game
@@aliceworms you clearly do not know how much comments I "reddit-ed"(create long paragraphs that are somewhat detailed- can be similar to 'dealt with') I'm just saying some people cannot comprehend opinions and just hate on the people who agrees with Tony's complaint about the dialogue. Some are even mentioning "majority" shit. I'm just wondering why would people converse over such little matters and attack people who are wondering the same thing. You may have seen the bad side of my replies, but I actually make good points like(somewhat like) these.(I'm just getting into informal writing)
This is the highest level of irony. Especially when he got to the negative steam reviews and Tony was agreeing with all of them.
This game is about no goals and simple endless possibilities. Very rich in atmosphere and design exploration. Glad the comments get it.
You're playing one of the greatest games ever made. Anyone who hasn't heard of this game watch this full video. I have never been so sure in my life 😤.

Cool ass game for sure but this is not the play through i would recommend if I wanted someone to experience the game. Watch Jacksepticeye play it or something not a dude who is 100% annoyed and impatient throughout 100% of the video lmao. No diss to Tony I love all his other videos but him and his chat being pissed at the game the whole time makes this play through not it
Tony I’m ngl you missed the whole point of the skip button by pressing it and getting mad over it, you literally proved the authors point by pressing the button. The game is a narrative based game there is multiple endings and the point of the game is to explore the options/ideas of what 2 doors can give you. I love your content man it’s sad to see you not like this game but maybe play the game again and actually go into the game knowing the narrator is going to talk the entire time. It’s not a shooter it’s more like a work of art or a philosophical conversation. If you don’t want to play the game again I get that, but don’t shit on the game bc you didn’t understand why the game was made in the first place or what message it was trying to convey.
Nah, please don‘t make him play it again, clearly it‘s not for him and that‘s fine.
I've seen a few people play this game in FULL and there's still a lot of options in this game i had no idea about
You can tell he loves his fans cuz this man was fighting inner demons to not just quit the game 😂😂😂
Crazy ironic how he IMMEDIATELY got the "what can i do to make this game better?" ending right off the bat
and then continued to get actually roasted by the game and keeps proving them right over and over🤣 this not even meant to sound hateful big dog but maybe you should stick to tiktok
nah bro tiktok is what ruined this man's brain, he reads manga and watches anime, yet cant even focus on a dialogue more than 3 minutes. Tiktok for sure gave him brain rot
The amount of times Tony says “idk whats going on” RIGHT after the narrator explains exactly whats going on and what he needs to do is troubling
Bro cannot play story games, got it.
😭😭as soon as I saw this title, I know this mf wasn’t gonna understand a damn thing
The creator of The Stanley Parable made another game called “The Beginner’s Guide” , which I highly recommend to anyone interested . it’s a narrative game , takes about an hour and a half to two hours to play , and has a LOT going on with it . I don’t want to spoil too much about it but it’s pretty heavy emotionally and you can tell it’s made by the creator of the Stanley Parable . Idk if Tony will get around to it necessarily (although I still recommend it to him) I just hope more people give it more attention in general . Wonderful game .
If anyone has trouble accessing it , I recommend you literally just watch a no commentary play through , you can still get a great experience that way lol . You can also just start by watching a play through to see if you’d be interested in it , and go from there .
Why would he play that game if this one sucked
The Beginners Guide messed me up so bad.

Tony is my favorite creator for real yet i fu*king hate him for not appreciating this masterpiece. How do you not get the fact that the narration is a giant part of the game.
Games are for entertainment some people don’t find non stop talking and endlessly walking through different areas as entertaining lol. What’s fun for you isn’t fun for everyone else, appreciate that he tried it out instead of just writing it off

Y’all… sometimes a game just isn’t for somebody. That’s 100% ok.
Yeah the amount of comments like „you gotta research“, „you don‘t get it“ „Tik Tok brain“
Maybe it‘s just not for him??
After seeing his reaction to this, I’m DESPERATE to watch Tony play 12 Minutes 😭😭😭 please
You gotta research a game before playing it and give up on a game instead of sitting there complaining.
Painful first 30 minutes and I doubt he gives the game a chance at any point. I have no idea who recommended this to him cause he is not the type of person to play a walking simulator, I blame them.
The only thing that made me angry was that he blamed the game itself for his own short attention-span
Whoever recommended this a whole ass troll they deadass knew tony hard headed ass would've got irritated lmmfao

Should work on making more immersive/ engaging gameplay than trying to speed run through huge name games for as much content as possible, I see the vision but it hurts you long term Tony, love.
Tony's said that his strategy is about farming clips. Specially for Tik Tok. It definitely works.
But you're totally right, it's not an enjoyable experience if you just want to enjoy a playthrough.
Some recommended the game for trolls
@@alicewormsI mean it's his strategy with anything content related. But when he does vids on Kendrick it's more enjoyable 'cause he's more tuned in with hip hop and more interested than with videogames. He'll get there. Nobody can deny that he's a funny dude.

Please explain why you find this game so intellectual? It seems ironic or maybe self aware but its not the first.
It’s kinda ironic how Tony is playing. He’s literally the listen the game is teaching lol. So he’s going to be bored. He’s living it.

Tony fast forwards through the dialogue in Marvel movies to get to the action quicker istg
The definition of insanity:

Bro's ADHD was BUGGING while playing this game. No problem, someone should've probably let him know it wasn't going to be a lot of gameplay, but instead witty humor and meta conversation on video games. The small "This game is super fun man" remarks had me dying though.

I've never heard of this game at all before seeing this video and boy was it a wild ride! I was really confused for like the first 30 minutes. It seemed obvious to me that the constant narration was the main feature of the game and I was frustrated that Tony wouldn't follow the narrator. Then he had me wondering if Tony was doing right thing and you're not supposed to follow what you're told? Then it was pissing me off that the narrator was pissing Tony off cause the only thing I could understand was that the narration is the game. I had to read comments for like 20 mins after watching to get the full scope. I'm not a gamer like that so I didn't get that this was a commentary on video game tropes apparently. It seems really up my alley though and I want to play it myself. I feel like it'll make more sense to me than watching it go over Tony's head
