She's right guys, those holes will fill up immediately, but I'm using all that just she listed and you couldn't pull that much acne out of me. I still do have acne but it's a LOT better than it could be

Agree, I use that stuff and still I have blackheads all the time in addition to the filaments. The blackheads are the worst because they keep stretching out my pores more.

Ok so I left a comment about how to get them to stop growing back. If you relax your pores with hot steam towels after exfoliating with a face scrub. Both will help prep the skin to release the sebum buildup much easier. Then do the strip or sticky mask. When it’s ready you pull it off, ect.. then use an old style astringent, witchhazel, alcohol, my fav is bactine to shock the pores closed. This will hurt a bit, but it’s killing the germs under the skin on the pores that are causing them to grow back. And the final step, cold water rinse to close the pores that last little bit. Moisturize with something that has soothing properties and replenishes your pores with vitamins. Sorry that was a lot 😬🙏

The only thing that sorted my skin out was age, as I’ve got older my skin cleared up. Mid 20’s was when I had minimal skin blemishes and spots etc… I’m late 20’s now and it just seems to keep getting better.

Maybe you’re like me and you might want to fight these with oils instead. I have been doing skin oils for cleansing. I will wash my face and get all the gunk from the day off as much as possible, then apply a good amount of the oil and as I’m laying down in bed about to fall asleep I’ll just be using circular motions to get the oils in, especially around the nose, and stuff starts to come out. I then wipe it all down with a dry fresh hand towel and go to bed. Been working darn good. Better than when I was doing salicylic acid cleansers.

I am not sure I would recommend that for most just because of the price. Ponds cold cream works really well and if you have sensitivities I would recommend just using the bliss mighty biome balm in the same way. Then following up with toner if you can. But really get in there and massage lots of circles in the face to really get in there and the gunk will follow. Then just wipe with a towel. What I’m doing works for me but I know some people will benefit more from going a different direction.

I’ve done this for people in the past who had horrible build up and I know that this may seem weird but I close the pores up with bactine, and then the harsh and painful alcohol to cause the pores to freak out and close. I’ve had pretty good results with their pores not rebuilding the build up again. I’m not a dr. I’m just a cosmetologist that had had to improvise at certain times. But I’ve had two products that always worked magic, baking soda to exfoliate and good old bactine as a toner and disinfectant with open pores and acne.

I am one of those who find chemical exfoliator not work well on me. Usually i will just use chemical exfoliator but if i hv an event i would be reaching to the good old nose strip and my nose becomes clear.

While during a hot shower I just use my nail to scrape the surface of my nose. I do this along with a mirror and I can actually see the accumulation under my nail. If my nail accumulates too much while doing this the remainder part of it will sit on my nose. O do this several times until I see nothing. The after results is a smooth surface, not prickly at all.

Can we take a moment to note that SEBACEOUS FILAMENTS ARE NOT BLACKHEADS, and are in fact important for maintaining your skin health? DON'T remove them. Removing blackheads? Fine. But removing sebaceous filaments can dry out your skin and make you MORE prone to acne. Do your research carefully and stay safe out there everyone!

My skin doesn't cooperate even with retinol and salicylic acid cleaners. I do recommend - they make them much smaller and better. However, I am not subacious fillament (sp?) free.
I actually find acid peels work really well to help with them.

A smart person would use a pore strip. Then after a day or two follow it up is salicylic acid every day after. Adjust for your individual skin, keep completing pore step every week, until it’s not needed😲😊 Also retinoid work well.
