It's not just in Ireland where the Ash trees are taking a beating. I'm in the US, in New Jersey and we had 2 ash trees on our property. Here, you have to get a permit from the town to take a tree down. That usually takes a couple days because of needing various approvals. When we went for the permit, they approved it on the spot because they were Ash trees. You are right about the sunshine lifting one's spirits. It was a beautiful day here yesterday and it just felt good to be outside in the sun.
Same here in Tasmania, island state of Australia. We can't just cut a tree down. I have trees I have grown from seed and once they top 3 metres you need a permit to remove a diseased or dead tree.
Handy tip seen as you do servicing etc on machinery...50 gallon barell of used oil and soak your new posts in it,doing it for years, never had posts rot and I've doing rails around the house every few years with burned oil, never a bother with rot.
Funny how phones don’t work in pubs, or bars, or friends’ houses…. Will always love the way the cattle come to check out what you are doing. Expert photo bombers 😂😂
Brilliant Adrian that pack looks like the business, especially useful at the cottage and work shop. Definitely a good investment for farming and in a working environment. I’ve got one of those iPhones too 🙄 it’s just unfortunate that The Kings Head is in one of those spots where it refuses to function 😂. Seriously though I watch your content constantly lately and I haven’t even scratched the surface of it yet. The pride that you take in everything is infectious. I have a large garden and it’s daunting to tackle and with inspiration I’m bang on top of it this year 🙏
Hilarious 😂, phone doesn't ring at the pub. Anyways love all the content and the happy tone, hope to see more updates on the cottage and the digger soon. Love how you keep all your stuff, massey tractor and chainsaw in excellent nick (condition, translating for myself since I know some of it from visiting relatives in Ireland😂), it's nice to see good maintenance being done. Sad to see tractors and cars rotting away in a shed and not being used anymore, but I suppose times go on, happy to see you taking such care of your machines and practically restoring the digger.
I absolutely love my battery. Different brand in the US, but worth the purchase. We had a power outage yesterday and my greenhouse ran lights and water for the hydroponics all day. It was great. They can also be used for camping, running a little induction stove/coffee maker/overhead light.
Time to start chucking hazel nuts, acorns, beech nuts and chestnuts into your hedges, you daughters will have some beautiful trees to remember you by in 50 or so years. Maybe they will get eaten by small critters but a few will root.
It's interesting how dialect can differ from county to county yet words can stay the same. The way you say the word staple (steeple) reminds me of my late father. It was only a few years ago that I realised they were actually called staples and not steeples 😅 thanks for the videos, from Fermanagh
Solar panels have so much use around farms especially in remote corners. It is a great technology and we will see a lot more of it on farms. The next thing to look out for is going to be little solar powered robot sprayers that will scan each paddock for weeds and thistles and give each weed its own personalised quick shot of weedkiller. The gaiins especially on Silage fields will be immense. No more growing weeds just a bit more grass in each field
I have a similar power bank solar powered system totally free energy.:) is the way forward, not sure the solar panels are meant to stay in the rain though
One of these power bank manufacturers (I think it might be Jackery) have a solar panel that you can fix on your car roof rails for charging on the go. That is clearly meant to be out in all weathers, but I too am not sure about the solar panels or blankets as some seem to call them. I think they can handle a bit of rain, but don't quote me on that.
Excellent vid sir... glad you've got some power supply sorted for lat night decorating 👍🏻 😅.. now if I was you.... I'd get myself a chinezum diesel heater for some drying heat when your in there to powered by your ecoflow to.. ... but as they try to say Works your Heat... 🤔😁.. but it would help dry the walls and floors out so things can be put right early instead of cracking later.. stay safe 🏴
You should just twist around ground cable over your tape. You should clamp it on with a stainless steel clamp, available with Gallagher. Will save your tape. If twisted around it has just not the best connection and breaks the copperwire in the tape. Same goes for knotting the tape, will shortcirquit on itself. At least thats my experience 😊. Also, i try to make sure the power can come from 2 sides. So if there is a failure on one end, the power can come from the other side. And several connection from top to bottom between the 3 wires we have.
Wouldn’t you replant Oak to replace the trees around the border fences , in New Zealand the farmers have a big burn up with any branches that come down.
Those electric fence handles, reminds me of how my siblings and i refused to pay into the cliffs of Moher visitors centre out of principal, and we decided to go around the back, across a field of bemused cows having a laugh at the townies getting themselves all hung up n the electric fences. we saw those orange handles and didnt know what they were, we could have saved ourselves a world of bother rather than the constant electrocution and giggles from the cattle.
The Gallagher strap you showed is good. Can I add to you advice that in the long run will save you time. Only have the entrance wire’s live when closed and not carrying power down the line bury a cable under the gate for that purpose. White tape or rope is not capable of powering conventional wire fully as it burns out the strands
Pity that couple nice days didn't stick around, hope tomorrow stays clear cause I've got a yard to power wash, and the only thing worse than power washing is power washing in the rain.
The emergency function on iPhone is activated by the buttons on both sides…it could be activated accidentally when mounting in the holder(or bouncing around in a tractor)
Nice one Adrian The pub probably has the signal blocked to prevent the women folk from tormenting the men folk while they are busy doing what they do. Once it gets to closing times most menfolk have an inbuilt homeing instinct which will guide them home eventually
if you do install the ECO flow at the house by the field... do install a manual knob selector single phase 25/100amp or Manual Transfer Switches (MTSE).. so you have both battery bank power (also connected to ecoflow solar during day thus powering the ecoflow as well).. and regular electricity. knob I is Ecoflow & solar (add labels) middle is off... Knob II is regular electricity. am sure you have thought of it. Regards from Singapore, GOD BLESS.
Good luck with the phone being out of coverage around the pub, bet if the pub was a supermarket and she had sent you to get messages the phone would always have coverage!!!!

Hi there Adrian a we tip I was given ya man that works at chainsaws and small stuff when finished with all small petrol machines drain the petrol and run them dry because if they sit for long periods of time not in use the new modern petrol destroys the carburetor
Hi Adrian your battery has 3000 cycles, that Is from full to empty, if you charge the battery at 80% , to top up,you have done away with that cycle. Same as your mobile phone, you need to be running it right down then charging it to get the most out of your battery.

Love your rough collie - full of character
I love the way you built and maintain your work shop. Your whole farm is just neat!!!
A stark contrast to a Longford farming youtuber.
Handy tip seen as you do servicing etc on machinery...50 gallon barell of used oil and soak your new posts in it,doing it for years, never had posts rot and I've doing rails around the house every few years with burned oil, never a bother with rot.
I love the way the animals follow you around. They watch your every move. That battery looks perfect fir the house renovation or camping. Great find.😊
First saw you when Funky Farmer visited you when he was in Ireland. So glad i did. Thank you for all your hard work. What a lovely man you are.xx
I love how all the cows are watching you work!! They're so cute. ❤❤
And then the chocolate lab later in the video. I do love your videos - your very good at these 😊
BEAUTIFUL LITTLE COTTAGE YOU HAVE THERE ADRIAN I CAN NOT WAIT TO SEE IT DONE IT WILL BE LOVELY ❤
That massey looks the part you keep it spotless
Funny how phones don’t work in pubs, or bars, or friends’ houses….
Will always love the way the cattle come to check out what you are doing. Expert photo bombers 😂😂
16:20 omg the dog is so cute ❤
Great video Adrian. Nice to see few sunny days. The eco flow unit would seem to be a handy item to have. Good demo 👍🏼 Enjoyed watching 👍🏼👍🏼
19:14 we had an ash trimmed last year the 3 inch branches made great posts, and a few blanks for turning and the rest will heat the home over winter.

Those Eco Flow things are brilliant - if you have a use for them.

Like the way ur coos watch u working….with a smile on their faces thinkin we will give it a couple o days then we’ll break that sparky wire again 😅
Hi lad that was a great job on your land and great job with your tree 🎄 and your class fresion heifers to 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
1:21 keep ‘er lit there boy😅😅😅😅😅😅
Liked the Crocodile Dundee reference.
My local pub is the same no reception in the pub works fine up the road
It's interesting how dialect can differ from county to county yet words can stay the same.
The way you say the word staple (steeple) reminds me of my late father. It was only a few years ago that I realised they were actually called staples and not steeples 😅 thanks for the videos, from Fermanagh
Those two are always with their Dad ❤️❤️
Phone doesn't work at the Pub, and you kept a straight face!!!
Those eco flow units seem pretty handy for small worksite use like that.

I love your sense of humour! 🤣🙃
I thought you were being serious about the pub comment until I realised what your were up to, you nearly had me codded 😂
Just a thought with the fence my grandpa used to tie strips of cloth to the fence so the animals could see where the fence was.
Thick copper earth wire to replace that ug cable and spring gates
You should head to that pub and have a talk with them about their cell phone coverage, keep going till they get it fixed 🍻
Phone doesn’t ring at the pub. 😀😀😀😀very nice work and thanks for the info about power accessory.
I’m still chuckling away at that 😂😂❤️
Must get one of them phones for goin to da pub 😁😁😁
Great video Adrian, very interesting, you’re some worker, well done 😁
Great video Adrian 👌aye my phone is the same as yours when am in the pub 😜🤣🤣
I wish my local pub had no coverage 😂😂😂
That delta max is a great yoke
Great see geting good weather ye deserve it good weather happy farmer
The white tape will always increase rusting where it's attached to wire or gate handles as the tape holds water longer after rain than just wire would
Thanks for the enjoyable video Adrian , covers a few topics .
Who knew farmers r o c k! Great video production!!! Love your videos A & Family 🌸
Great video Adrian nice 2 see the sun out
Love your vedieos and can't wait until you start renovation of cottage.
Not seen mole grips used for twisting wire before! Good trick

Ip68 waterproof so yes they can stay outside. Looks like they back that with a 10yr warranty.
Good work as always Adrian. Thank you for sharing.🐄

I see cows in Ireland are busybodies, too. lol
The people at Eco Flow should look into a big give away a natural disaster area like N Carolina , USA after the hurricane! Big need there!
Galaghers under ground wire is the best when our farm went from barb wire to electric fences that was done 35 years ago look out for it
Further is bright and its orange mate...
Lol your subtle jokes crack me up. Not just the pub one fhe girls singing and good there is no glass nearby
Isn't it surprising how mobile signals disappear in, near, or around your favourite watering hole? Used to happen to me all the time Adrian!😅😅😅

Great info ! Your doing a wonderful job on the FARM .I am in Burton Oh. USA love the countryside! My family came from there in 1800 ?
Love your dogs Adrian
Hi Adrian put some Denso tape on the wire ends, where can I get a phone like yours with selective coverage 😅
I’m wondering if some Vaseline on the posts would make it easier to drive in?🤪

My phone normally goes out of signal when I'm going around the local tool shop, no idea why, my wife's is when she's looking at jewelry. 😂🤣👍
Hard to beat plain wire for electric fencing
Cracking video Adrian they a lot of fire wood there Adrian stay safe 👍👍👍
You could put two of those black ring things on the post?
Good job interested in one them charger
Another great and interesting video has always Adrian Sinead and girls 👍
Adrian, it’s interesting how your phone doesn’t ring at the pub vicinity …. interesting that!! Lovely in the sun!
Nice Crocodile Dundee shout out. 😀
Pity that couple nice days didn't stick around, hope tomorrow stays clear cause I've got a yard to power wash, and the only thing worse than power washing is power washing in the rain.
O man that.great for new house shocking handy.how much one them where get it
will you plant different trees to replace those you are losing through storms or disease?
The emergency function on iPhone is activated by the buttons on both sides…it could be activated accidentally when mounting in the holder(or bouncing around in a tractor)
My iPhone is exactly the same in Australia, bowling club and any pub, no service
Go to settings, emergency and turn off the auto call settings.
Nice one Adrian

Adrian, You are cheeky!
What do your (three) girls think of your little joshes?
Particularly the one about the dodgy phone😂😉
Just bought a Hustler from Johnstone on your advise
A generator that is quiet is definitely something on my list! That’s a nice little unit.
Love your videos! ❤
Hi good morning from Indiana
Good luck with the phone being out of coverage around the pub, bet if the pub was a supermarket and she had sent you to get messages the phone would always have coverage!!!!
Great those eco max batteries
The same thing is happening to the trees, here in the USA. Another gift from china, the Emerald Ash Borer.
Cracking video as always lad
Great video as always .....
Adrian did you not know there is no coverage in any pub

What part of Ireland is this? So incredibly beautiful.
