I actually love the emphasis Mikami uses with saying "Delete" instead of "kill", probably makes it a lot more justifiable in his head, especially given his profession. Easily takes him out of the fact that he is in fact killing loads of people, he's simply "deleting" them instead.
This situation with losing Demegawa and Misa (technically) and gaining Takada and Mikami is like the Count Dooku situation. Soon I will have an apprentice far younger and much more powerful. Look for them in the opening, now you can see all people in there.
