Maybe Magolor just got remnants after getting a hefty dose of power from the Master Crown, that seems more logical. Or his powers were more energized with the Master Crown
It was revealed in the "Let me explain everything" cutscene that he fought Landia and lost..so yeah..he must have been able to do magic attacks even before he got the master crown
Phase 2 gives me chills. Seeing what appears to be some form of 0 taking complete control of Magolor and then hearing the Cry's of Magolor saying "help me" and "kirby" scattered throughout is so dark.
I love how they used CROWNED in the Magolor epilogue. I still can't believe they combined my favorite boss theme with my favorite finalboss theme for the Master Crown fight
The original crowned from Classic RtDL sounds like hopelessness as Channel Kirby says, but the one from Star Allies makes you realize the true villain isn't Magolor, but the crown itself. The Master Crown's theme makes it sound like you are fighting for the sake of the universe, as Magolor fights the very same thing that corrupted him and what got him into this mess in the first place.
For anyone who does not notice the difference between the first and second phases of the True Arena. If you listen closely to the second phase theme, you can hear Magolor talking. I have a theory on this difference. Magolor was crying out while possessed by the Master Crown, and only after doing enough damage can his cries reach out to the viewer, or who you are playing as, saying he's sorry. (You can play as Meta Knight, King Dedede, or Bandana Waddle Dee in the True Arena after you beat it.)
My all time favorite final boss, and my all time favorite final boss theme, was somehow made even more perfect in the remake. And in doing so, this bumped up from being my second favorite game to my all time favorite, as well. HOW DO THEY DO IT?! 😭💕

He might show up in some other dimension in a new game some day! I really hope we get a time travel title where a ton of old characters/enemies/gimmicks come back. In the climax there’s a big boss battle-royale in the background of Kirby’s battle. Magolor Soul shows up and tries to fight Zero Two or something. That would be cool

Champion waiting room music from Kirby and the Forgotten Land also reminds me of this theme especially the Kirby Star Allies version (which is my personal favourite of CROWNED themes) Also, the 31st anniversary of this series coming in two weeks time!
Crowned is literally one of the best songs ever from one of the best Kirby games, one of the best uses of the “leitmotifs showing character’s personaltiy’ trend.
