Tell in the comments which version is your favorite! Return to Dream Land is one of my favorite Kirby games. I remember the announcement of it being very exciting because we finally got a new main series Kirby game on a home console (last time was 11 years ago!). CROWNED is one of the most popular themes in the modern games, specifically among the final bosses. Return to Dream Land Deluxe expanded this list greatly with more leitmotifs and arrangements. love the magolor epilogue for revealing that it wasn’t just the master crown or overpowered attacks for the sake of being fun to play in star allies, magolor just canonically has always been able to do all of that
Maybe Magolor just got remnants after getting a hefty dose of power from the Master Crown, that seems more logical.
Or his powers were more energized with the Master Crown

It was revealed in the "Let me explain everything" cutscene that he fought Landia and lost..so yeah..he must have been able to do magic attacks even before he got the master crown
@@achyuthsuresh9762 For a start, base Magolor relied on the Lor for his travels. Crowned Magolor was able to open portals by himself.

Phase 2 gives me chills. Seeing what appears to be some form of 0 taking complete control of Magolor and then hearing the Cry's of Magolor saying "help me" and "kirby" scattered throughout is so dark.

I love how they used CROWNED in the Magolor epilogue. I still can't believe they combined my favorite boss theme with my favorite finalboss theme for the Master Crown fight
The original crowned from Classic RtDL sounds like hopelessness as Channel Kirby says, but the one from Star Allies makes you realize the true villain isn't Magolor, but the crown itself. The Master Crown's theme makes it sound like you are fighting for the sake of the universe, as Magolor fights the very same thing that corrupted him and what got him into this mess in the first place.
For anyone who does not notice the difference between the first and second phases of the True Arena. If you listen closely to the second phase theme, you can hear Magolor talking.
I have a theory on this difference. Magolor was crying out while possessed by the Master Crown, and only after doing enough damage can his cries reach out to the viewer, or who you are playing as, saying he's sorry.
(You can play as Meta Knight, King Dedede, or Bandana Waddle Dee in the True Arena after you beat it.)

The choir also has a stronger presence in phase 2 - some segments that were purely instrumental now have the choir added.

It’s at 23:09 in this video, you can hear たすけて (“help me” in japanese). The first syllable is muffled so it sounds more like “--kete” in the audio. I didn’t notice it either until I saw a lot of japanese fans on twitter pointing it out.

The transition between Supreme Ruler’s Coronation Phase 1 and 2 was so smooth, I love it!
My all time favorite final boss, and my all time favorite final boss theme, was somehow made even more perfect in the remake. And in doing so, this bumped up from being my second favorite game to my all time favorite, as well.

The way that Magolor dies in the RtDLD True Arena… that’s the stuff we need to watch for! He goes into a portal instead of the usual shrinking animation. He might show up in some other dimension in a new game some day!
I really hope we get a time travel title where a ton of old characters/enemies/gimmicks come back. In the climax there’s a big boss battle-royale in the background of Kirby’s battle. Magolor Soul shows up and tries to fight Zero Two or something. That would be cool

If you say maglor's domain in the field of magic I would agree but not so much in the domain of the master crown, being gored by that artifact is more like being possessed by a demonic entity, but hey.

Magolor is one of my Favorite Final Bosses of Kirby Saga
Champion waiting room music from Kirby and the Forgotten Land also reminds me of this theme especially the Kirby Star Allies version (which is my personal favourite of CROWNED themes)
Also, the 31st anniversary of this series coming in two weeks time!

Crowned is literally one of the best songs ever from one of the best Kirby games, one of the best uses of the “leitmotifs showing character’s personaltiy’ trend.
i absolutely love kirbys return to dream land. and this theme Feel's like a true final boss theme a symphony of chaotic yet well orchestrated music that fully accompanies the feel of the fight

I was wondering why you leaved all of Judgement of the Malus Pumila if the C-R-O-W-N-E-D melody is only at one part at the end, but then I realized that the background cackling sound in most of the theme comes from C-R-O-W-N-E-D.
I just want to say the anvil sounds so damn crisp in the RtDLD remaster it's chefs kiss.

Gee, CROWNED just keeps getting so much love, doesn't it? Kind of makes me feel a bit bad for Welcome Your New Overlord, but leitmotifs from that song are present in certain Magolor Epilogue tracks, so perhaps things are finally looking up for ol' W.Y.N.O.!
I swear, they should've added a Magolor First Phase Mii Costume to Smash Ultimate just as a way to get Under My Control into the Music Selection.
I hope the next Smash Game's Story Mode gets a full Magolor Boss fight, burning battlefield and new Smash CROWNED remix ya know, Marx already got his chance

Although, I do think Galacta Knight would be better suited for a Kirby boss the next time a new Smash Bros. rolls around, assuming they bring back boss fights that aren't Master Hand and Crazy Hand, and also assuming that Marx won't be returning as a boss either.

The CROWNED from the original RtDL and the remake are literally the same thing. There’s no reason to separate the two unlike with Supreme Ruler’s Coronation - OVERLORD.
I mean, remake one has more reverbs and clearer instruments compare to original one, so It's still worth to seperate imo.
