  • Today I added a second piece of driftwood.
Within a few weeks I'm planning in advancing the mystical forest aquascape with more wood and smaller stones.
I want to achieve a hedge row kind of part next to the arching trees.
This way shrimp and future corydoras will have plenty of hiding spaces.
Corydoras is still a favourite fish on my list, that I like to add to the mystical forest❤️
And more ember tetra of course😉
    The more the merrier.

Good example of how to maintain an aquarium.

Thanks. But I don't know how adding wood helps to maintain a tank. It maintains/upgrades the look for sure.

@@titiasplantedaquariums Adding wood helps to cycle the tank more thoroughly along with having hard scape in my opinion.

@@PaulC.494 Oh oke, like that. The fish seem to love the presence of the wood and it's light tannin. They look a bit brighter in colour and are defending certain areas that it creates. It's funny to watch.

Thank you. The wood is floating for now, but will stay down on it's own eventually. When that happens I can start changing the aquascape a bit. One side at a time is best I think. I'm 100% sure the tank will look even better with extra ember tetra and corydoras in it🤩

Hi boy, I noticed that your root is very clear, the reason could be because it is new? mine has gone all black! It's normal?

Mine is light in colour because it hasn't been submerged before. Wood will slowly decay down under water over time and releasing tannins. I think that is what is causing the dark colour.
