This game's soundtrack is super underrated. This is an amazing remix of this song, seriously, you could slap this in one of the 8-bit Mega Man games easily.
It made me shed a nostalgic tear lmao
I just don't think the instrumentation is good for it. It should have been real rock instruments imo.
Better yet, just make an 8-bit dlc that makes all of MM11 8 bit. Mega Man 9 was going to have the option for modern or retro but opted out, so having that idea in 11 would make it so much cooler (and it’s already really cool.)

yeaaah the game was lazy, rushed and an obvious cash grab it doesn't even follow the lore. WILY IS DEAD...fuck this game.
I really like Wily's new mixture of a lab-coat and long-coat jacket, it really gives him a distinctively badass presence compared to his generic scientist-look or that goofy (though admittedly appropriate for the character) black cape while still feeling in-tune with Wily's scientist aesthetic.
Andy It also helps that he finally has a competent voice actor in Keith Silverstein.
I just wish the skull tie from Ariga's designs could make it into a game for a change.

There should’ve been an 8-bit Mode after beating the game in Mega Man 11! This would’ve easily fitted into the mode! 👍🏾👍🏾
Dude,Megaman 9 and 10 were not most of the fan's favorite because of the nes (Tho i love it) but i guess capcom didn't want to take that risk

This specific part of the Gear Fortress theme could represent Dr. Light and the sorrow and regret he feels for dismissing Dr. Wily's invention and putting a end to their friendship, and the rest of the track is Dr. Wily being blinded by his hateful and vain nature so much that he won't ever forgive Light. Idk just over-thinking lmao.
some games were just meant to have an 8-bit soundtrack. this is one of them.

It's very nice to hear this in authentic 8-bit, and I love the little touches you did. It definitely adds a new flair to it that makes it even better.
This feels like it would be right at home in the Mega Man 3-5 era, but it just has a little something extra to set it apart. Awesome job, this is a masterpiece!

not gonna lie, this is really catchy. Why does the 8-bit style sound so much more better?
I'm assuming it's because there's much less for our minds to process when there's a lot less going on. The "generic techno" had a lot of complex synths and the backround was hard to hear, imo. With 8-bit the "synths" are simple, but great, and the backround is balanced well enough to hear.
Just my two cents.
Or maybe because 8 of the 12 games (I'm counting Rockman & Forte/ Mega Man & Bass) are in 8 bit so we're all just used to it
All of the game's compositions were good, the techno just did not wear it well. The instrumental versions are amazing to hear too.
Probabky because you can distinctly hear each instrument separately in 8 bit as the actual mix just mashes them together and the composition can't be easily appreciated. The fuseman stage is rocking great as is, though.
I think part of it is in the limitation - you only get three note channels and a percussion channel so 8-bit tunes have a way tighter focus on composition of melody. The fact that there's less 'noise' for lack of a better way to describe it reduces the mental load of listening too. The limitations of 8-bit makes sure that the goodies get right to your ears. :)
While playing, I never gave myself the opportunity to actually listen to the official soundtrack. (Turning off voices helps a lot, actually.)
When I finally did sit down with a pair of headphones and just listened to the music, I could tell that the composition style from the old Megaman games was still there! Hearing the soundtrack arranged with 8-bit music really completes the picture. Nice work!
Personally I just turned off the voices after the opening cutscene. Mega Man as a game just feels better with out voice acting.

They took the Megaman Classic series real serious. They literally must make the music in par with the other classic games composition-wise for it to fit in the classic series.

This remix gives me an unexplainable feeling of nostalgia, beyond what other remixes of this style pull off. I'm reminded of being the poor kid in the early 2000's, having only an NES instead of an xbox or whatever, the Megaman classics, Mario 1-3, a few smaller games. This brings me back to those days, when I wasn't overcome by stress or work, when it was just my sister, my grandparents and I, playing games on the shitty old unit my mother had when she was a kid, beaten, stained, but still reliable. I'm happy whenever these things bring me back to a simpler time. Thank you.

@@midnafan132 i don't think so. the last time i've heard the original, i thought they're more sustained like the kind of basslines you'd hear in most rock music. i opted to take some minimal creative liberties for that reason

Awesome remix. I heard some people saying that mega man 11 soundtrack is generic, but I think the real problem is the instrumentation, it simply doesn't fit some of the tracks.

Feel free to do so! However, this version is a placeholder until I re-release the covers on Bandcamp, as there were a few errors I left in this upload.
I like the non pixel addition but the pixel addition is a better addition then normal.

The only aspects that disappointed me in Mega Man 11 were that
1. Wily's last 2 stages were too fucking short and easy
2. He only had one theme for all of his stages (I was expecting 4 but 2 would have been all right)
3. Your special weapons refill after every stage you beat like mm7 and 8
also when you begin the game Mega Man is always looking at Block Man Instead of the center. Otherwise fantastic
