In your example "Project to surface -> Spit face --> Offset face" is a better solution to "Extrude from object"

After choosing the project direction, thre is a message "Failed to project the selected geometries". How can it be solved?

I get an error, "Error: Cannot extend extrusion to object. The extrusion profile falls outside the boundary of the selected body. Select a face or plane instead, or adjust the profile so that it falls inside the boundary of the selected body."

Hey... I cannot project my curve because fusion give error to me like: Warning: Not support projecting sketch geometry into same sketch, please change the target sketch or geometry. Can u help me?

Thanks for showing how project wont work for 3D. The extrude command will get the letters on the 3D surface. But I believe the letters will not wrap around the curved surface correctly... they will be stretched out sideways.

      You are right!
Wrapping is a whole different story. For that, you will have to use the Sheet Metal and that also has some limitations Or there is another technique for Wrapping, but it depends a lot on exactly what you want to wrap.
If you need help, please let me know.
I think you should ask for this feature in the Idea Station!

Correct workflow for that is to project the curve on the surface. Then use the curve to split the face. Then offset the split face. Cumbersome but it get the job done and is accurate compared to the extrude from object which doesn't extrude in the direction of the surface normals.

Thank you for the share. What is project used for, if not this? I learned about the extrude-from-surface from this vid.
