What a tremendous show, what an incredible journey. After the finale episode I wanted to express my emotions through this tribute video to one of the greatest characters on TV.

One of the most underrated series ever.
I don't think it was underrated. Just the promotion for this series was done very indie like. Was odd for a show that has soo much production value. Seems like Word of Mouth is what helped this series afloat.

It's definitely extremely underrated. The show was fucking perfection, and yet it barely gets as much attention as a lot of other "historical drama" shows that were less than fucking perfection. 🏴☠🏴☠🏴☠🏴☠

Ya, the character development was very good for him. Clearly the writers must of been at the drawing board for a while trying to create his personality.
The finale absolutely broke me, and so did this. So wonderfully crafted, a perfect character study. I really hope we won't stop seeing black sails videos from you, they truly are the best.

Ya, it's almost tragic what sort of happened to Flint as a whole. For me, he was such a relatable character for me. Probably the only character I ever had a connection to, was odd. Minus the homosexuality, which I have no issue with.

This series has been one of the best shows I have ever watched in my life and the series finale was ...wowm I didn't expect it to be so complete and hopeful. James Flint becoming McGraw again with Thomas (!!!!) and Toby Stephens being perfect...beautiful tribute as ever.
YES YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES!!! I didn't dare to hope for a happy ending for Flint, not in such a brutal show, but here we are!!! It was happy and sad at the same time, but it was perfect in every way possible ♥

TELL ME ABOUT IT, I sobbed happy tears during the reunion. Although John Silver's ending was far from happy, that hurt. But everyone else and everything else was amazing. I prepared for myself for the worst but it was happiest I've been watching haha. You're welcome!
Yeah, his ending was not so happy, but I guess it was the right thing to do for the screenwriters? It just kind of felt right. Especially when I think about Flint foreshadowing his destiny in TI, about happy life not being enough for him and all that.
Oh definitely, i always wondered why Silver bothered going back for the treasure in Treasure Island but Flint /knows/ amazing writing tbh!

I just love how John Silver is by his side most of the time
WOW. This is one of the best song videos I've ever seen. It's so sad as it shows his choices and everything he's gone through and just how tired he is. But it also draws on the tiny sliver of hope as he is reunited with Thomas. Flint lost almost everything, but he still managed to keep Thomas.

I know nothing about this show and you still made me feel so much with this video, such a perfect character study (using such beautiful music) and I loved the end shots of them coming together and being hesitantly soft and gentle with each other, beautiful!

Знаешь, я всё думала, нет, Флинт и Томас не уйдут в закат, держась за руки. И не могу отделаться от мысли, что Флинт с пулей в груди лежит там, на острове, а то, что мы видим, это очередная фантазия-история Сильвера(
Была в какой-то момент у меня тоже такая мысль, что это все обман, что все-таки произошло худшее. Но тогда вся подводка к истории с Гамильтоном на плантации кажется напрасной, да и зачем они бабушке Гатри рассказали эту историю, она же как раз хотела, чтобы Флинт был мертв. О, и как я поняла, сценаристы вроде сами в интервью подтвердили - Флинт жив и счастлив :D Мы все, видимо, настолько привыкли к плохим концовкам, что тут в хэппи энд даже не верится! Но, чёрт возьми, Флинт заслужил свой хэппи энд, пусть у него все будет хорошо!
