They needed to take pics of 1st Edition Warhammer and Blood Bowl stuff, GW at the time didn't have copies of the old stuff. So mine were borrowed to take photos of for the training materials.

Great philosophy with the preorders. If you are not in the race you don’t lose the race. You guys are such level headed individuals. And about Geoff's hair, what is he using to make it look that fabulous? Mousse? Pomade? Clay? We have to know ...
47:47 I’d love to watch some warhammer tv, but they make me re-sign in and verify my account every time I open the dumb app on my Apple TV, and don’t offer closed captioning, so I’ve sort of just stopped trying. I semi regularly check out the Vault, but their chosen web app solution won’t load the publication half the time, and you can’t sort or mark anything as a favorite, let alone properly search or continue where you left off, so it always feels like a struggle. Lots of potential with warhammer +. All falling just short of a good experience, mostly because of presentation and choices in technical solutions.
Weird dream: It was a vivid fever dream that seemed to re-occur when I was a kid. I would be falling down a hill in a wooded area, continually rolling down the hill. Hitting trees, hitting deer, always rolling. The whole time my dream was scored to "She's Like The Wind" by Patrick Swayze from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. I would wake up all sweaty, fall asleep and the dream would start over again.
Great show again chaps. Some lovely tangents mixed in with some great insight and experience. As for dreams I only tend to remember one which is when I dream I'm having a wee then internal alarms start blaring and make me dash to the bathroom before it becomes a reality 😂
I'm starting typing this when you talked about the amazon warhammer movie/series stuff, I always took it, they just agreed to make something, it's probably just now in pre-production, so I wasn't expecting to hear anything until like 2-3 years for like first teaser maybe or announcement or what they're making.
I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but that story about Peachy's dad is kinda funny - only in that my mum had the same thing, her entire side went numb, so she had an aspirin and went off to have a lie down. Wasn't until later that day that I took her for an emergency appointment and turned out she'd had a (thankfully) minor stroke. Didn't really have FAST symptoms though, weirdly.
Did manage to get Ashes of Faith but only by going through the local comic shop that happens to be a warhammer stockist, as I knew that they'd have nobody else ordering through them.
There's a really cool video on 'Model Minutes' account for how Airfix is made, that shows the plastic injection moulding machines and how they work/change the tools.
Since I was a child my recurring weird dream was being chased by dinosaurs (normally a T-Rex - which would also tear down any place I was sheltering in)...the dream stopped occurring when I turned 16: the dinosaur in the dreamt shrunk to cat size and stopped chasing me. From that moment on I never had that dream again.
I didn't bother with the kill team set, but a friend got one by showing up at at the local Warhammer store at 10am saturday. He managed to get The Lion the same way.

I really didn't care much for Warhammer besides some video games until I was like 28 or so but then I decided to listen to Eisenhorn and it just completely sold me on the universe, and now I'm like 15 grand in debt over plastic addiction!

I got a Gallowfall set. The GW website was the only one that didn't sell out before 10am. Element games etc went from unavailable to out of stock in about a second. By 9.57 all retailers had sold out.
Listening to you guys talking about the different types of warp travel, and how 40k “Travel through Hell”. Have you heard the fan theory that the film Event Horizon is set in the 40k universe and depicts mankind’s early attempts at warp travel before they figured out the Gellar field?
In regards to Geoff's remark (fantastic name btw 👀) about having the multi pose kits a few months after the initial/snapfit release. I don't réally care and just mix them up. So for the bladeguard veterans I got 6 indomitus ones and 6 multi pose ones and just mix and match in the units. Then they hold up really well :) So you could just combine them if needed. These startersets are just so good in terms of value so it's hard to pass on if you're into marines or tyranids. Again, love the show - it's my hobby highlight of the week :) cheers!
Yeah tbf, this what I will actually do too, I felt it on the Hellblasters though. I didn’t feel like I needed two squads but then the actual release had more options, same to a smaller degree with the Eliminatiors as 2 squad are actually a bit more useful.
I worked in the auto manufacturing supply chain and we had many injection moulding tools for various parts. They could take many hours to set up and I suspect that'd be a huge cost shutting down a manufacturing line for that time. You'd have to disassemble the tool and forklift out the old one. Clean the machine down, removing old material. Forklift in the new tool, assemble, run the tool through it's heat cycle, add the new material, run a test print, QA the test results and then proceed with manufacturing. A way of doing print-on-demand in a cost effective way would be to have a purchase portal for out of print sprues and allow customers to preorder the items. However the manufacturing print-run wont happen until the tool is needed for 'X' (maybe a 1000) purchases. The customers can see how many have been pre-ordered to get an idea if a printing is close. Then when it becomes financially beneficial for a print then customers are charged and the tool is swapped out. GMT Games uses a system like this for the manufacturing of their boardgames. There system is called P500 and when enough orders for a game come in then the project moves towards manufacturing.
With the whole mould setup stuff, from working with plastic injection moulds for years it really is a lot of faff to set up and break down the moulds. The machines can take up to an hour to remove the mould, this doesn't include having to wait for the machine to cool down so you can work on it (potentially another hour) before you pop a different mould in and leave to heat up which can also take a while. Not to mention each time a mould is removed from the machine it needs to be taken to the tooling department to be cleaned and reset for storage or its next use. Generally its not worth setting up a machine without having it run for a few hours at least.
I have WH+ still, and I do have Lula here and there in watching it. Loved hammer and Bolter, and the angels of death series. Sadly masterclass has been lacking especially since only hands. Would be nice to see the old films like ultramarines or inquisitor
When it comes to sprues, mould lines and general kit design, it's interesting to see how little GW seems to have learned from bandai's recent improvements for gundam kits. Today, the cheapest Bandai kits have far less prep work than just a few years ago, just because of far improved sprue design. Think of how marine backpacks are connected to the sprue via a rounded area, visible from the front, instead of being further down, on a flat surface that is easy to sand down.
Good chat about the preorders going so fast Next week, what do you folks think about the new Legends choices in 10th for all the Heresy plastic kits they just released last year?
