- Marshall Jones makes us rethink our digital culture through an engaging slam poetry performance.
About TEDx, x = independently organized event.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Pov : your English teacher sent you this link for school
English brought me here........thank you for coming to my ted talk
I liked the original version better. The changes you made to the performance weren't enhancing and robbed it of its emotion.
I daresay it makes it even more eloquent and "virtually real."
Me too. I also don’t like the movements. Oh well. 🤷🏽♀️
Can anybody find any literary devices? Cuz i have homework on this and need one more
DimplesV2 yo sameeee

More than just 'awesome'!
such an amazing performance.. top notch
I hate that people are seeing this in school, it’s making a genuinely brilliant poem, performance, and work of art which warrants discussion a hub of people who now look at it as some lame homework.
Then they go on to talk about holographic interactions on ted
I just realized that wall-e is the perfect visualization of this poem

Oh the delicious irony of 'like'ing this!
The original is much better, I all the changes robbed it of it's originality and emotion.

When he said we have no real friends..... I felt that😐
The saddest thing is to not know other than what you experience. The Millennial generation isn't under the social constraints as my generation was. When you connected with friends it was through verbal communication with eye contact and body language that's what being human is about.Through Facebook or MSG, I have contact with my daughter almost daily but I haven't spoken to her in almost a year. I called last week expecting her voicemail but she answered. Surprised, I called out her pet name. She started crying and I knew at the sound of my voice a flood of emotion overcame her. The power of my voice stirred emotions she wasn't aware she harbored.
And then everybody clapped
All the people went 👏
this is so true!!!
wow
no friends
there's an app for that!
no life

POV ur Ik writing class
POV: you go at the french school
it seems like there's less passion here than in the original, not saying he's tired of performing it but maybe thought he needed to switch up the raw presentation for Ted
some of the tech terms he uses are not correct

I Think I Like This One More.
Bro, I just gotta say, just because we have tech and use it, doesn't mean it consumes us. You sir are sharing your personal expiriences about having little friends and writing poems about that. And yes, you are right, you DEFINITALLY have more friends online than in real life. look at the comments!
Did you forget the lines
Awesome👍
wtf is the main idea
Covid made what he was saying so much worse. Hopefully one day we’ll be human enough again to be able to put our phones down
