These were remarkable machines, quite advanced. I saw only one, late in '57. I recall it being maroon on color, could see the excellent engineering with the fully enclosed drive chain to the rear wheel that ran in an oil bath.
The one on the left is a grab handle to help raise the bike on its centre stand, the one on the right switches the rear suspension from using only one spring for a solo rider to using two springs for carrying a passenger.

Fully Maico, not Adler. I owned an Adler scrambler and a friend owned an Adler street bike.
