Wartburg 353: A Piece of East German Automotive History

Production shows four cylinder engines. I remember the three cylinder two stroke engines of the 1970s. My father owned three, as it was the best car he could afford. They had many good unique features. If you could drive a Wartburg you could drive anything. The were built like tanks, but could be repaired with a small tool set. 1800cc but the power of a 3.6 litre. Massive brakes. 3 coil s 3 distributors. They are the only car in the world to this day that has never broken down in the British RAC rally.
The three-cylinder model was produced until 1989, after which a 4-cylinder engine was purchased from Volkswagen.

Genau! Unglaublich. Und dann fahren die mit 6 Fahrgestellen durch die halbe Stadt. Das das alles so derartig schlimm war, wusste ich nicht.
@@kajfox Doch, das wußte ich, ich glaube, ich habe hier nahezu alle Videos zur Produktion von Trabant und Wartburg gesehen. Die vom Trabant sind auch sehr empfehlenswert, da kann man sehen, mit welch rauhbeinigen Methoden da beispielsweise nicht schließende Hauben und Türen "angepaßt" wurden. Einfach ein Holz zwischengeklemmt und solange die Tür gebogen bis sie paßte. Der Kühlergrill wurde auch gerne mal mit einem Fußtritt passend gemacht........

Rzeczywiście to jest manufaktura, jakoś to tak po rusku ta produkcja wygląda, a najbardziej szokujące jest to, że składowali gotowe podwozia pod gołym niebem... Wszystko mokre, ośnieżone i potem to rdzewiało na potęgę. Ale jedno co trzeba Niemcom z DDR przyznać, to że opanowali technikę silników dwusuwowych do perfekcji. Te wszystkie silniczki w Trabantach, Wartburgach, MZ ETZ, czy simsonach odznaczały się wysoką kulturą pracy i niezawodnością, jeśli się o nie dbało oczywiście. Fajne Video, dziękuję że mogłem zwiedzić fabrykę w której wyprodukowano auto mojego taty :)

Dnes je vidět ten propastný rozdíl mezi DDR a SRN. Ta auta byla jen jakýmsi vyvrcholením příšerného úpadku socialismu vůči tržní ekonomice.
