You didnt miss anything at all. Seafood definitely is a must try there in Iceland. It was raining a lot when I was there, so I spent an hour or so inside the Convention Center. Very nice building! thanks for sharing!

The weather is terrible so your unlikely to experience any of the things you mention . Also Iceland is expensive to say the least . The people i know who went there spent the whole time stuck in their hotel getting fleeced but i agree on a good week Iceland has much to offer but i would say factor in hiring a car . (expensive also)
