There’s actually a theme on some of the rollercoasters! Balder, Valkyria and Loke are all rides named after the Norse mythology. In that part of the park there’s also decorations associated with the theme. 😊
And the area where Balder is located used to be named Balders hage (Balders pasture) before Liseberg took over the area. Also not far from the park you have the Ullevi Stadium which also is a Norse name...

And I know it’s the most enthusiast that’s something we generally don’t think of when it comes to amusement parks. The architecture and landscaping We’re absolutely gorgeous. It kind of reminded me of if you were to take Coney Island and cross it with Busch Gardens Williamsburg. That was very good and they put it in a garlic butter and served What was the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. Am I definitely going to go back absolutely. I was born in Stockholm and I lived there for the first 30 years of my life before moving north. I still consider Gröna Lund to be my "home park", but if I had to chose between 'Grönan' and Liseberg, it would be Liseberg every day of the week and twice on Sundays. It's just so lush and green, it feels "homey" and inviting. It is a park I would buy a year pass to, so that I could enter "on a whim" just to walk around, without even riding anything. I love that place, and the city of Göteborg aswell!
Helix is great, and Loke is fantastic. Valkyria is great too, and beautifully themed, but an annoyingly short ride. I was there two weeks ago and managed to do 7 rides each on Helix, Loke and Balder, but couldn't bother with more than one on Valkyria. YMMV. On a hot day, Flume Ride will put a smile on your face.
If you ever have the chance to visit Liseberg i advice to go directly to helix into the first seat row and don't close your eyes, it would be less scary and cooler as you know what's gonna happen next and your body manages to prepare 😂😂

I’m from Sweden and every year we go to Liseberg. We live on an island outside Gothenburg so unfortunately we cannot stay until dark. We are usually there from 11 til 6. One time we went there in the winter and they have a frozen pond were you can ice skate! It’s really fun and the whole park is decorated with Christmas decor such as Christmas trees and bells.
My parents met at Liseberg when they worked there together. They’ve been together for 32 years now. It’s a really nice park that most Swedes has many fond memories from. This was a really well made and comprehensive video!
As I used to live in Gothenburg, Liseberg was a yearly event. Spring, summer, fall and Christmas time. Helix is just fantastic! There is an all day pass with a PRIO attachment, which means you can get inside half an hour early. Once I rode Helix three times in a row due to no queues, which was amazing. But yeah, Liseberg is fantastic and I'm glad they let you backstage to sign Balder!!!
I literally went into the hauted house maze like 3 times when I visited because I liked it so much lol.. Liseberg is awesome, i think i had the best coaster experience of my life riding Balder- it was kinda rainy and gloomy over the day and then at sunset the clouds broke open to let literally golden light shine through the park while little drizzles of rain still flew around in the air. Ridiculously topped off with a full beautiful rainbow infront of the remainig dark cloudy formations still hovering above. I'll never forget soaring through that scenery

Last time I went to Liseberg was in May 2016 with my class. We took the ferris wheel around 20 minutes before closing time and it was great. Just me, some friends and the lightened up city view.
Nice review of my hometown park! If you want to experience the park a bit emptier and darker, come back some time in mid September. Weather is usually at its best then, a bit cooler and then the nights are finally dark enough to warrant lighting the street lamps. Well, that's my favorite time of the year to go there.
If you like the way the park looks, you should try to return during the beginning of December. The trees in the main street are completely wrapped with lights and it's so incredibly beautiful!
I'm from sweden and I've been to Liseberg numerous times. And I can confirm, a night ride on Helix is great, and doing that on 1st row, bumps up the experience by a quite a bit! Valkyria was also very good, the smoothest ride in the park actually and would highly recommend it! Having done every ride, I can add that the rides really compliments each other. Fun fact: Liseberg is planning to open up a waterpark and hotell where the giant carpark is, which will both be themed. The hotell and waterpark will be done ca 2021-2022.
Liseberg is the only park Ive been to in my life. I havent been going on rides for the longest time either, but! My most recent trip I for the first time went on Lisbergsbanan, Flume ride, Tempus and Helix!
I was there at night 2018 and it was amazing. I loved it. I was there to about 22:00 I think. I got to ride a bunch of rides with no lines and it was so much fun. For example 5 minutes before Liseberg closed I ran over to balder and went on the last ride of the day. That night was one to remember

I had a lovely time in 2017, especially night rides on Helix. Those are indeed a reason to come-back 😉😀
since i live like 30 min away i've been there a couple of times as a child, there was arcade machines that i quite liked back then i wonder if they are still there was also a 3d type attraction no idea if it's still there, oh and theres farfarsbilar which is translated to grandpacars which are the ford model t's you ride around this brought back a lot of memories, i never realized how pretty it is last i was there was in my early teens or before i remember how i found it boring we left pretty quickly never returned after that

Very cool video! I am from Sweden myself and almost every Midsommar we go to Liseberg. I love all the attractions and the rides. If you go back you need to test Valkyria and go in first place it's amazing hanging over the egde. :D
I´m from Gothenburg & I enjoyed your honest review because it´s not in a rude way so I appreciated your critics, they can do better, I'm sure...You can send them an email about what you were unhappy about so you can check it next time you visit to see if they have done any change to make it better...Welcome back to Gothenburg, peace out...
One cool thing about Helix is that it has an app. The app is a bunch of fast paced minigames and you compete to get the highest score agains other people that are also in line. And the highscores are displayed on screens that are placed all over the line. Not sure if they still have it, but it was a good way to make the lines not feel as long when it was new.
I were here last year and I absolutely loved this place! It’s my favorite amusement park I’ve been to (doesn’t say a lot though). And I am even going back again in under 2 weeks, so that I can try out my first dive coaster, Valkyria.
I live like one hour away from Liseberg and i go there at least once a year so i kind of take it for granted. But this review made me realise how pretty it is :)
Man you should come over for Halloween sometime. Liseberg hires zombies to run around a part of the amusement park and scare people. It's one of my favorite things to visit around autumn
Loving your swedish pronunciations, im a swede and haven't been to that park in a while, great review, next time when you are in sweden you should check out Skara Sommar(summer)land in Skara, its really great!
The themepark is actually named after the "hill". Lise vas the name of the founder's wife and "berg" means mountain. Also, they ARE expanding. New attractions almost every year and next to the park, they've just started building a huge hotel & waterpark. It takes time though, because pretty much all of Gothenburg has this special kind of mud underneath the surface... Very tricky to build on, apparently. Liseberg is also open during Halloween and Christmas - the decorations and the ambience are AMAZING. Btw, Liseberg runs on 100% renewable energy and wind power and all the food is environmentally approved (all the fish has the msc certification etc). Pretty cool.
I was there 26th june this year. I was on Valkyria. If you're going back, pick the seat in the very front (valkyria) becuase in the drop it'¨s really fun to sit in the front
Lol when you mentioned that the drop tower used to be an observation tower I had flashbacks to being in there as a kid before their converted it, crazy because I did not remember that little fact
I have always loved Liseberg and I usually go there every one or two years ( I was actually there just last week and won two big chocolates and a plushie! ) and if I have to choose between the amusement parks in sweden I would choose Liseberg because of nostalgia and because of how awesome it is

Liseberg is AMAZING and valkyria is a very good ride! I love going there with my friends and ridning every rollercoaster
I am going there in 2 weeks!! I am from Norway!
You have to visit Liseberg on Halloween, they open three or 4 more scare houses and the theming is beautiful
since i live like 30 min away i've been there a couple of times as a child, there was arcade machines that i quite liked back then i wonder if they are still there was also a 3d type attraction no idea if it's still there, oh and theres farfarsbilar which is translated to grandpacars which are the ford model t's you ride around this brought back a lot of memories, i never realized how pretty it is last i was there was in my early teens or before i remember how i found it boring we left pretty quickly never returned after that
Liseberg also has awesome Halloween and Christmas events, especially the Christmas one really makes you feel like you are in a whole new park!
I am from Sweden. Good video man!
I HAVE WAITED FOR THIS FOR SO LONG TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS !!!GREAT VIDEO BEST RC CHANNEL!! ops CAPS :D
Btw, I live in sweden and I visited Liseberg last month, A lot of people but I got to ride the big attractions once :)
Very cool video! I am from Sweden myself and almost every Midsommar we go to Liseberg. I love all the attractions and the rides. If you go back you need to test Valkyria and go in first place it's amazing hanging over the egde. :D
Valkyria is a very fun coaster. the feeling when you drop is kinda the same as atmosfear.
Great video!😄
I live in Sweden and yesterday i was in Liseberg and i love it.
Finally a Liseberg review!
I have been waiting for this!
I often visit Liseberg in the fall and nightrides on Helix are the best!
Was there a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. Helix & Balder especially were amazing!
Man you should come over for Halloween sometime. Liseberg hires zombies to run around a part of the amusement park and scare people. It's one of my favorite things to visit around autumn
Just Went today and totally worth going! Well rounded park for being so compact
They are actually expanding lisebeg, they bought the land surrounding the park and are planing to build a water park and a hotel as well
Loving your swedish pronunciations, im a swede and haven't been to that park in a while, great review, next time when you are in sweden you should check out Skara Sommar(summer)land in Skara, its really great!
I live in Gothenburg, Liseberg is AMAZING I totally recommend it!!!!
i am from sweden and iv been to every park in sweden and liseberg is the best one
Happy to live in Gothenburg 🥰
A fun fact about Balder is that it is built around an offer place for the Norse god balder. The offer place is located where the staff let you walk in
I love the Lisebergsbanan!
Fantastic review Taylor
That park looks gorgeous. Which is not surprising, because Sweden
Im going to Liseberg next week! Im so exited!! Ive been there once tho
I ride to Liseberg 2-3 tims per year and i like the park verry mutch
You didnt say anythin bout the best flatride Mechanica and one very big waterride Colorado
Kållerado*
I was there 26th june this year. I was on Valkyria. If you're going back, pick the seat in the very front (valkyria) becuase in the drop it'¨s really fun to sit in the front
Lol when you mentioned that the drop tower used to be an observation tower I had flashbacks to being in there as a kid before their converted it, crazy because I did not remember that little fact
Which one do you pefer: Liseberg or Gröna Lund?
I'm a Liseberg fan! :P
Kaptenpan I prefer Liseberg!
You either prefer Liseberg, or Gröna Lund but haven't visited Liseberg.
@@lomg1740 Liseberg is waaaay better than gröna lund.
Kaptenpan same lol
I have always loved Liseberg and I usually go there every one or two years ( I was actually there just last week and won two big chocolates and a plushie! ) and if I have to choose between the amusement parks in sweden I would choose Liseberg because of nostalgia and because of how awesome it is
