That's a wasty ride. You should stop and check each piles. You watch mr poly poly prophet? He is a thorough scrapper. And it's satisfying to watch. You scrap like a man with fire on his tail. You don't check. Your always on a hurry. Another thorough and informative scrapper is Volt Divin.

Get yourself a little holster that holds say a folding knife and scrap the knife and keep the holster for your side cutters this way you won't lose them and attach a little piece of rope so if you don't put them back you still won't lose them.
in Pennsylvania where I'm living you can't find anything on garbage night anymore at least in my area easten pa either everyone is holding onto their junk or taking to recycling centers and giving it to the local Boro to take to landfill like they've been doing with the cans glass and Plastic bottles anyway no body is really recycling most just ends up in landfill

I believe that most of these microwaves are from homes that are buying the over the range microwave & getting rid of the table top microwave. I used to test all the microwaves I picked up and over half the ones I tested worked just fine.
Charities shit me- cut cords off everything and then take all to the scrapyard, where I put a cord back on the good looking stuff just to test it and findout it was in perfect condition.
@@toomaskotkas4467 nobody wants the old 60's crusty players- the ones to have are the 70's and 80's high end component turntables you can actually get a good sound out of. The right ones are worth serious money.
Charities cut cords off electrical appliances and take them to scrapyards. To legally and safely sell them they have to pay to get them tested by an electrician or they could get sued after an accidental electrocution etc. So don't ever donate electrical gear of any kind to charities or it'll be wasted.

I can’t imagine in the present day that municipalities allow disposal of electronic waste into landfills. All the discarded electronic waste should be centrally collected and persons like yourself can come in a take whatever you want as long as you recycle it and properly dispose of the waste.
I’m new to the channel and I must say this is probably one of the most informative channels that I’ve come across in a while and it in reference to scrapping. I’m just catching up on all the old videos now. So I don’t know if you’ve already gone over this but what can I do with the hard drives that I collect?
Microwaves are almost not worth taking- minimal wire inside and never had one with copper wire in the transformer yet. Newer ones don't even have a transformer. Local scrapyard won't pay for whitegoods so the emptied microwave goes to the tip for free.
My 3 year old has made me watch this one twice now and he's running round the house shouting microwave 😂😂

One thing I learned by street scrapping, which products to never buy, like those stand up fans from Walmart, or those upright vacuums. So many junked.
I usually just type a cheap $2 pair of garden shears to cut chords

Don’t forget to check the side burners on gas grills. Sometimes they have a nice chunk of brass.
