Buy one with a lever. It just won’t work like that, or at least it’ll be difficult especially if this is a hobby for you. There are plenty of cheap options on amazon

@@pablobonifacio8755 lever closed if it is zero gapped, it can be 0,3-0,5mm. Usually the clippers come set up 0,8mm closed. Lever open should equal 1,5mm.

@@pablobonifacio8755 no worries, but you should keep in mind it varies with every clipper. Some cut closer and vice versa. Always try to improvise if you don’t have the right tools 💪🏽💪🏽
