      Hey Rob, thanks for the support mate. We are still looking at how we are going to protest our disgust at this situation, as we are well aware Victorians have had it up to here with disruptive protests. It’s a fine line but we will work something out. We will keep viewers updated.

    Brilliant interview fellas. Dave (Sando) Sanderson is an incredibly talented and interesting guy. Your interview with him was exceptional, and the way that you gave him space to tell his stories is a credit to you both. I look forward to seeing what comes next. Cheers Doova

    Proud niece moment. Not just for his passion for his bikes and cars but also highlighting the importance of giving blood.

      Hey Racquel, thank you for taking the time to comment. Proud you should be, David is a living legend in our eyes. His knowledge and passion for bikes inspires us more than you could imagine, and yes, as you will have seen later in the program he has inspired me to give blood, not just once, but I am now committed to doing so regularly. I think we may have to return to see that Panhead that was missing. 😃👍

You sound like you can understand where we were coming from. It was an incredible journey through Dave’s motorcycle history. That’s a name I’ve not heard for a long time, Mark Austin was Pacific Harley Trading at Mt Wilson and prior to that he was on the Central Coast. Those Vincent engines were still winning races in outfits in the 1980’s as for the suspension on the HRD’s my dad reckoned they felt like they had a hinge in the middle worse than Triumph’s sprung hub but hey, not much handled back then… or stopped. Had a few bottles of Vincent Club port, one called Transmission wine another Gunga Dinner Port, third bottle had a gold embossed HRD in with gold lettering…. I met Terry Prince one night at the Taxi Club (shhh). You can still buy a brand new Vincent engine (not cheap) I’m fairly sure you can still buy a complete HRD as well, I think from Egli. My dad was a dispatch rider in WW2, after that he moved over here, he still rode till he couldn’t balance a bike anymore, I rode on the back with him, he rode on the back with me and we rode beside each other, he gave me his last bike, a 1971 Bonneville in a 1968 frame.

      100% Jay. Blokes with Dave’s knowledge may be rare but it is our job to seek them out and share their stories whilst we still can. The Vincent was even better in person. To be close to it in operation was simply amazing. These old bike still excites me us every time they are brought to life. Thanks for watching.

    Another wonderful video. The irony of the roads situation and it’s all over the media the motorcyclist deaths this year, but don’t fix the roads. That’s not what the problem is.

    • @hogscogsandtwoaussieflogs
      @hogscogsandtwoaussieflogs  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That irony is not lost on us. Our bikes must be roadworthy by law but there’s no need for the roads to be vehicle worthy apparently. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. 👍

    I often get in trouble from the Vincent Illuminati when I compare my Rapide with my Harley and come out with comments like 'they have similar engine characteristics.' My HRD is ex Terry Prince who is another fascinating old timer you should meet and chat to.

    Build the roads properly in the first place and they won’t get washed away every time it rains.

    • @hogscogsandtwoaussieflogs
      @hogscogsandtwoaussieflogs  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The rain excuse is a furthy. Take a look at the roads at the borders, both NSW and S.A roads are in great shape. Its not like it only ever rains in Victoria. S.A has great roads in comparison and most of our weather hits there first. Its clear Government inaction and financial mismanagement.

  • @peterlucas789
    @peterlucas789 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    3aw were discussing this week that the Victorian government will be selling off/privatising regional road maintenance which doesn't even seem to exist going by the state of the roads so that's going be an interesting cash grab🏍
