I honestly can’t thank you enough for all the amazing, supportive words we get in here. Means so much, it honestly does. I love the golf life family. Thank you Tubes x
Tubes , always be upbeat stop worrying about bogeys doubles etc etc . Your scores will come good when it happens . You know how it works #bucky #howasheeeeeee 💙
From a scratch golfer, get yourself a batch of short game lessons Tubes (or have a watch of the short game video Jimmy did) and I think you’ll notice a vast improvement in your scores. It seems to me that all your chips, pitches etc are played from a very similar stance, ball and hand position. By getting a better understanding of back foot, hands forward etc, and club selection you’ll become much more consistent around the greens. We all miss greens but getting up and down more regularly is the key to lower scoring. Whatever level of golf you are at!! Big up the golf life crew 🙌🏻
Just said this myself. His long game isn't that bad. It is better than mine and he hits it further. But I can navigate the greens better from about 100 yards in and less so my scores are better and sometimes break 80. It is definitely his short game that is holding him back. If I can do it, and I have no power, then Tubes defo can. two short game lessons and I think he breaks 80 quite quickly.
Tubes, if you forget the 83 to beat and concentrate on beating your best in this series each time, so now try and beat the 89 then the beating the 83 will come, less pressure that way and more progressive. Well done mate.
Pete, we love you. We love what you do for everyone who allows you in to their lives. You are a shining light. Don’t take this as criticism, it will help you. Have a look at your trail foot. It’s glued to the floor on your bad shots. Don’t stall Pete, let yourself go through to a good finish. Peace to you all xx
I feel he used his 60 way too often throughout the whole video. Could be a reactionary/safe choice for him to use it. Could be bad experiences with bump and runs.
Tubes ,Ange and golf life boys. I'm not a golf fan, I don't play or watch but I love your videos. The joy it brings tubes is amazing and the bond with Ange is brilliant!!! Keep up the great work chaps.
Pete, you don't get through the ball, look at where your belt buckle finishes when you finish your swing, you will notice it's approx the same area your ball landed. The club face is open because of this, hence you slice the ball. You also scoop the ball hence why you appear to rock backwards after your swing. Transfer the weight onto your left leg/foot on the downswing and follow through.
Just thinking exactly the same. Pete you keep saying belt buckle but you must include weight transfer to your left foot but so often you rock backwards with your weight still on your right foot 😮
Try breaking it down in to three holes at a time and then you can reset after every set of three holes. This massively helped me to drop from 14.2 to 10.2 I 6⃣ months. Also understand which holes you get a shot on so you don't beat yourself up when you have a bogey or double. Keep going with these episodes as you will get there with better planning 😊
I've never picked up a golf club, but I've just fallen in love with this game recently. I've fallen in love with the physics of golf, reading terrain and wind and spin. It's a beautiful game of physics. It's a game of the mind and the body. You need to have the intelligence to know how you want the ball to spin in the wind, and where you want the ball to land, and how you want the ball to spin and roll when it lands. But then you also need the physical skill to perform your set-up. I've been into golf for like 2 weeks and it's one of the most beautiful games I've ever encountered! It's a simple game of spinning a ball into wind to make it go where you want it to, but the complexity of it as well is beautiful. And your passion for golf is contagious! Something I've loved about this channel is that when you're facing an opponent, you're still rooting for that opponent to make a great shot. I'm not sure whether that is characteristic of golf at all levels, but usually in games you want your opponent to do badly. Obviously in chess, you want your opponent to make a bad move. But it seems different in golf. It's like the passion for the beauty of the game transcends any desire to win (though I'm not a player, so I can't say that with confidence.) But even if your opponent is beating you at golf, your desire to see an exquisite golf shot transcends your desire for your opponent to play a bad shot so you can win. It's very gentlemanly. Maybe it's different at the top level, where players may be more competitive, but this channel is great example of passion for the sport, not merely passion for winning. Maybe I'll try and pick up a club at some point and learn to hit the ball. For now I've been playing PGA2k23 on PS5 just so I can enjoy the process of reading holes, reading greens, reading wind, and making the ball spin how I want it to. I've fallen in love with the physics of golf. The way courses slope and lie, and trying to figure out which slope you want to hit and how you want the ball to roll when you hit it. I may have to book some lessons at some point, God willing. I live literally 2 minutes away from a golf course in Southport as well. Enjoying your channel! Keep playing!
Pal recommended that I watch Golf Life and I'm glued. So refreshing to watch the ups and downs of real golfers. Keep working on the short game Tubes, thar's the key x
Need Bulldog back ASAP. I love EVERYTHING that Golf Life do and stand for, but the Bulldog brings that superb level of Golf and madness that makes us all smile. As for you Tubesy - keep it going sir!! :-)
Pete, don't be so hard on yourself.. you're a winner in my eyes. I was exactly the same as you about 6/8 months ago, the thing that helped me before sorting my swing out was aim a little left (I know it's not a solution, but massively helped for the short term). If it goes straight, fine.. if it peels right with your cut, also fine.. main thing.. keep doing these videos!! Much love
Love this series, keep going mate you’ll get there. I myself haven’t played golf in about 5 years. Watched this and got my clubs out the loft. My own journey begins.
Lesson to be learnt is no matter how good you are don't have a score in mind before you start. The best rounds are always when you have a free mind and having a good time. Love the channel!
Tubes, you have progressed so much recently! Everyone who plays this maddening game we call golf, is going to have bad along with the good! Keep on getting better, and thank you so much for all the great videos you and your team put out!! UP THE GOLF LIFE!!!
Unreal the new Level of golf your playing bud. It’s night and day ⛳️❤️ One thing for these best scores could we just keep the score +1 or whatever it is up the top corner the maths is too hard to work out if ur on track. Cheers troops. Up the golf life ⛳️⛳️⛳️
I absolutely love this channel, as a fairly new golfer myself, your improvement spurs me on to be better and better, keep up the good work and long may it continue....
I'm not a golfer but live watching golf . Loving your videos . The Stephen Hendry rematch had me in stitches all the way through . Would love to see you and Jimmy up my neck of the woods Morayshire in NE Scotland , some lovely links courses up here . Beautiful scenery too over the Moray coast, some real gems of golf courses.
Tubes that is some really good golf Sir. Been watching the channel for around a year and you have made massive improvements. Keep up the great work. Much Love for Georgia, USA
Tubes, you ange and Jimmy are the reason I got into golf! From watching you every Saturday morning on soccer am to now watching your golfing journey religiously it is a absolute pleasure! You three have probably helped 1000s of people throughout and I want to say on everyone’s behalf thank you for doing what you do and keep pushing on. One day you will beat the bulldog and I can’t wait to see it! Up the golf life
Great video Tubes - agree 100% with Michael G41267. From behind you chose your aim point - aligned your shoulders but definitely not your feet. From the camera behind the tee you can clearly see your misses would be right. Improvement in you game is great. You have taken on board so much - your alignment is key
I started playing in the early 90s and played maybe once every few weeks. Took me a while to break 100, then an age to break 90 for the first time. I had lessons about five years after taking up golf and it took me back to almost square one as the tutor changed my grip completely. I broke 90 in Scotland, can’t even remember the exact score but mid 80s maybe. After a long break I’ve been hitting at the range of late and this channel is my go to. You boys are inspiring and I’ve seen your development. Awesome! Put the 83 to the back of your mind mate. It’s a shame your putting, which is usually so consistent, let you down a bit here. You drove straight and were consistent from the fairway. Relax and enjoy - hit through the ball and you’ll get there. 👍
You are doing well Pete and we are all enjoying watching your progress and would be great to see you with some of the higher handicapped viewers (15 & 20 & 25) Love all the tips and coaching and putting them into practice every round
Tubes, the best advice I've ever received from a lesson was to concentrate on getting to my "good" finish pose. When I end up where I want to be, it means I've done almost all the things I want to do during my swing. It clears the mind of the dozen or so things we're trying to remember to do. If you are addressing the ball in the correct position and your "finish pose" is in the correct position, you've done a vast majority of the things you want to do right. I know it sounds simple, and it may not be the answer for everyone, but it really made a difference in my game. Good luck, buddy. And keep up the good attitude! Remember, once it stops being enjoyable it's no longer a game.
Correct a lot of the time when you don;t try to finish your swing you end up getting a bit stabby with the ball as your stopping your swing too early. I do the same thing on every swing.
Watched golfers go through these patches tubes even your incredible putting has disappeared. Your determination is clear so that makes me confident you'll do it just gotta stick at it! Your good golf will be round the corner. Watched you from the start you've improved loads so heading in the right direction. Just gotta be patient and enjoy your golf it's when you play your best.
Love these 'breaking my best' videos, keep em coming. I'm roughly the same handicap as you with a similar swing, this summer has been much better following one tip I saw on Peter Finch's swing quest channel. Feel like your chest is staying over the ball through impact then turn through with your belt buckle like you've been doing
keep doing these videos tubes, and stop putting so much pressure on yourself to break 83. just go out there and enjoy it. You'll play miles better. golflife it's the only life we know you legend ⛳️
tubes I dont play golf love flyfishing everything about the videos first class mate not just the golf but talking about the problems youv gone threw & other people whose got or going through there problems really inspired great team effort with big ang good look lads Barry
Tubes great progress mate!! Don't worry too much about that second shot if you are within a chip and putt you were so good at the up and downs. It always happens that when one thing improves something else drops back a bit. Be confident with your putting you are one of the best putters I have seen on youtube!
I'm halfway through the video (I'm on holiday in Greece) and I have to say Tubes it's great watching you play golf. You've definitely improved and I love how you just enjoy playing golf (don't lose that). Lastly you're beginning to look like a pro as well! Never seen golf shoes as clean and as white before 🏌️⛳💪
There is lots of good technical advice on here, way beyond my knowledge. What I would say is that I look forward to the day you can relax about your score and enjoy the round more as I think your score will follow. You are putting too much pressure on yourself to improve too quickly, set your target as 1 shot below your last round so if you have a normal round which is above your handicap your next round will feel easier. It is very difficult to keep the relaxed grip you need under the pressure of the camera and the scorecard. Huge respect and thanks, of course, for allowing us to share your journey.
Pete iv been watching your putting and your up after it before you hit the ball ..just keep ya head down till after you hit ya ball and if you look back your doing the same on your drives ..I do the same good effort it will fall into place one day keep up great work love golf life ..
This content is QUALITY. I feel the ups and downs as a viewer just like you playing! It's a fantastic rotation of content the channel needs IMO. Keep up good work lads
You’re so close to a worldy round tubes keep going pal love to see your improvement especially in mindset that will be massive for you going forward 💪🏻
Tubes, love this series. It’s always great to see mental battle golf brings to each player. Maybe one day we could have a match 9 on mine and 9 on yours
Tubesy, love the channel, thanks for doing these, mate! While I'm still terrible at golf, what I've done not to lose my head like that is smile as I approach the ball and keep it during the whole swing 😅 it relaxes me, loosens me up and I can only swing well when my shoulders are loose.
These rounds are crucial in the process of learning this beautiful but ever so frustrating sport, I refer to this type of round as an “educational round” you need to just look at how much you actually have improved tubes, your ball striking is so much better! Putting has always been a natural part of your game so you are well n truly on your way my old mucker 👏🏼👏🏼 our hunger to get the best out of ourselves on the golf course is mirrored!! I’m addicted to mastering this sport to the best of my ability! “It’s the only life I know” 🫡
Get lessons man, you'll break 100 in no time and much more with the right personalised tuition. There's absolutely no substitute for properly understanding your own nuanced swing and a personalised plan to get you where you need to be. Good luck!
Love that you play here, played here a lot with a dear friend that past away far too young. Had some great laughs there, haven’t been back since. Quite emotional watching you play here. Keep up the good work mate
Mate, you gave it your best shot! It’ll come. You’re doing so well. I’d love a round with you and Ange, would be such a buzz. Keep on grinding mate. Much love to you all
Iv only been playing golf for 3months and consistently shooting in the 90s . Determined to break 90 before end of the month . Shot 93 today . Top drawer content Tubes
With the hybrid love aim a little more left, every time it ends right of where you want it to, just a little suggestion. Great content though. Currently have a broken wrist so watching you improve keeps me going and can’t wait to get back out on the course!! Golf life legend!!
Pete we've all been there and for some like me, still go through it. You have to change the mind set. Like whatever happens on each hole stays on each hole. When you walk off each hole, you forget what happened and on to the next. Also although your trying to beat you best score, try not counting. I've found that I play better without counting and just focusing on 1 hole at a time. But love you and your content, up the Golf Life!!
Hi Tubes enjoyed the video .... this year i started at 21 and have not been able to put in a good round so back to 26!! Concentration and course management are the key which you have mentioned. Well played for your 89 !! My best ever is 86 around my local course Kirriemuir which is about 35 miles north of St Andrews. I don't like it when people are behind me either ... whether or not they are pushing ... I start to get nervous and my game goes to pot ... I will keep on watching !!!
Love this series buddy!! Keep it goin'!!!!! Gotta get the Golf Travel Centre peeps to get you over to BC, Canada, The East Kootenays specifically!! I have some hook ups at courses and im sure we can get out for a couple rounds. Im between a 15-18 handicap right now so i think we'd have a competitive match, just throwing out the challenge 😁🤟🇨🇦🇨🇦🤟
Hole 13, what a great drive and second shot. You are definitely getting better Tubes! C'mon You Leg! Now come to Iceland and play 24h golf! You'll love it 🇮🇸🙏😊
I love every bit of content you guys put out it’s always my favourite notification you are so good for TH-cam golf , can we please get an update on jimmy though please
love watching these challenges, thought I'd give it a go my self today and match my best ever round which was nine over 8 on the front nine and 1 on the back -did the eight on the front nine and we'll leave it there !!! OK I was one worse than you today (90)- keep it up great to see you improving
It's because you've set out to do it! You'll do it on a round that's not being filmed or with some mates. Always the way! Keep going 🙌. Love the videos
Tubes, I think you play better when you play your round with someone else, I find playing on your own is difficult! Play with a mate and then try to beat your best! Absolutely love your channel I’ve never commented before. I think I’ve watched every single episode. #golf life
Understanding your club fly distances is so important, you said 170 yards to pin, 7 iron? As a 7 iron will stop on a green, that’s 170 yards carry. Of course you said you hit it well but right, you were also 20 yards short. As there was room behind the pin, long was better than short, good 6 or soft 5 was the shot. Ask Zane Scotland or Jimmy about clubbing into greens
4ft from the back of the pin is same as 4ft from the front of the pin , sounds like Trigger but makes sense take an extra club so you dont have to belt it 👍
Tubes, the best wedge to take for you right now for chip shots is whichever club you're most confident in. That'll help you to be more relaxed and give you a higher chance of making a good swing and getting good contact. Then as you learn techniques and get better with a range of shots you can choose more options. Best of luck. Up the Golf Life.
Great seeing your improvement since the early days. I would suggest next time you break it down into 3 hole chunks. Having the total target in your head will always let you think you can make bogies and get it back later. If you get ahead of the target early it will build your confidence for the rest of the round. Also I noticed when you were aligning yourself you were aligning your shoulders but not moving your feet so your base was still aiming right which is where you misses were. Hope this helps knock a few shots off next time
Tubes, great viewing, frustrated for you though. Good job for not letting it get to you. You have the classic outside-in swing which causes a slice. Sort that and you're halfway there. The only other thing is your chipping which is costing you big time. Your putting is fine but you need shorter putts! 😂 Best of luck mate!
Well done tubes, the golf is coming on leaps and bounds, obviously you’ll know there’s a few things to work on but overall brilliant mate. Another quality video UTGL⛳️
Love the series, my kind of golf. Tubes, 2 things : it looks like your grip is going a bit back to the old way, hence the bit of a slice, and your pre shot routine on short shots is nothing like your actual shot. Keep it up, we're rooting for you.
I’m just a beginner but something that helped me tubes, another TH-cam video can’t remember the guy. But imagine you’re throwing the ball underarm (right handed) toward your target to get an idea of the weight transfer. Once your lead shoulder starts to feel the weight transfer you’ll stop falling off your shot and hit straighter not slice providing club face angle is more or less correct. Keep going Tubes up the golf life. Another thing I tell myself is ‘open up your rib cage’ on the takeaway, then when I swing through my torso sort of automatically shifts the weight toward the lead upper body
Tubes we love you keep grinding. I’m no expert but I’m having the same issue with some shots. Not following through properly causing the ball to go right. We will get there though ❤
Pete, never seen you putt so bad, just one of those days, chin up. You should contact Liam of Golf Mates and arrange to have a round with Old Man Pat, it’ll be the best playing lesson you could wish for and you would learn so much about plotting your way around the course. A big up to you and keep up the great work. 👏🏻👏🏻
Keep going your definitely getting better (a little tip tee up on the right hand side of the tee markers and aim up the left hand side of the fairway , it makes the fairways wider for slicers)
Great video as usual. I think on some holes your lining up with your head but forgetting your feet which can mean your twisting the club head more than you need and letting your body get in the way of a smooth stroke. Keep up the good work.
I feel like you're in a very similar position to me right now (I'm 13.4)... you're able to hit far better golf shots than you could 12 months ago - and overall you're a much better golfer... but scoring is hard! That difference between par and bogey isn't much at all on most holes and when we're struggling to give ourselves opportunities for birdie - every bogey feels very damaging and it's hard to stay positive! Keep it up and you'll be into those single figures soon!
I honestly can’t thank you enough for all the amazing, supportive words we get in here. Means so much, it honestly does. I love the golf life family.
Thank you
Tubes x
And we love you 😂 love seeing you improve turning into a propper golfer 🎉 thanks for the free entertainment
Tubes , always be upbeat stop worrying about bogeys doubles etc etc . Your scores will come good when it happens . You know how it works #bucky #howasheeeeeee 💙
@Buck783 so hard to do though isn't it 😂🙅♂️
He is complaining about his putting, maybe try a couple of practice swings instead of going all out gung ho
Lovely new shoes 👟👟

Peace to you all xx
You boys are the reason I’ve taken up golf. I love this channel and am rooting for you
Those 60 degree shots off the green are a nightmare man. 7 or 8 iron bump and run 👌.
All day long, especially when there is zero danger and green to work with 👍🏼
I’ve always been shown a 9 iron or pitching wedge bump and run but I’m definitely going to be trying the 7/8, cheers lads
Defo a pw or7/8/9 all the time! Far too much risk with a 60
I feel he used his 60 way too often throughout the whole video. Could be a reactionary/safe choice for him to use it. Could be bad experiences with bump and runs.
TAKE THE 60 OUT OF THE BAG
I’m a 20 plus and only ever use a 60 in bunkers

Good luck, buddy. And keep up the good attitude! Remember, once it stops being enjoyable it's no longer a game.
The best advice I ever received was, don’t eat yellow snow.
@@DJOverpar You recieved that from a golf lesson? Damn, your parents gave no chits! 😂
Correct a lot of the time when you don;t try to finish your swing you end up getting a bit stabby with the ball as your stopping your swing too early. I do the same thing on every swing.
Tubes can I just say how dapper your looking these days, and how well your golf is coming along, love the golf life vids, keep up the good work lads.
Great video Scotty and Tubes!!! I'd personally like to see a + or - par alongside the shot tracker.
JB would be so proud of you the way you’re driving now . Good work keep it up 👌 every putt you did missed left
tubes I dont play golf love flyfishing everything about the videos first class mate not just the golf but talking about the problems youv gone threw & other people whose got or going through there problems really inspired great team effort with big ang good look lads Barry
Never seen golf shoes as clean and as white before 🏌️⛳💪
Well played Tubes great to improve all the time good to watch you improve. I love my golf ⛳️
So relatable these break 83 videos, like all of us there’s a golfer in there somewhere, up the pink castle tees❤
Yet another great video! Just what I needed to relax after a very very hectic work day. Keep up the amazing work guys 😊
Go on tubes lad you make it real for us all proud of your journey
Love. Watching. You. Boys. Going. Through. Tough. Time. But. You. Boys. Make. Me. Smile
I really enjoy these episodes. I also really admire you for challenging yourself in front of us lot. Keep going pal 👍🏼
Well played tubes you’ve improved so much this year keep up the great videos. Won’t be long breaking 80… come on you golf life legends
“It’s the only life I know” 🫡
If you know Tubes's back story you will know why golf is so important to him. Great to watch, keep it up!
Love these videos Tubes. I've not broken 100 yet and I love the way you talk through what you're doing. Helps me loads! Cheers
Get lessons man, you'll break 100 in no time and much more with the right personalised tuition. There's absolutely no substitute for properly understanding your own nuanced swing and a personalised plan to get you where you need to be.
Good luck!
@@jackdavies9652 I agree totally. I've had a few lessons and I've seen some good improvements so far 👍
And also I love Scott such nice motivating man bet it helps to have him on the holes.
Much love to you all
Well played Tubes. Great to see you improving. Loving the encouragement from Scotty
Definitely keep this series up Tubes, really great stuff mate!
Iv only been playing golf for 3months and consistently shooting in the 90s .
Determined to break 90 before end of the month .
Shot 93 today .
Top drawer content Tubes
You are striking the ball so much better Tubesy! Clearly on the right path my mate. Short game short game short game my son!
With the hybrid love aim a little more left, every time it ends right of where you want it to, just a little suggestion. Great content though. Currently have a broken wrist so watching you improve keeps me going and can’t wait to get back out on the course!! Golf life legend!!
Good effort Tubes keep that score coming down 💪💪💪
Watching you do these is always a journey, ha. Loved the vid and well played, thanks!
You'll love it 🇮🇸🙏😊
Scotty such a great addition with the chat. So positive!
Yes tubes well done you've improved massively 👌🏌️♂️👍
Head up tubes, getting better, love the series up the golf life
I love every bit of content you guys put out it’s always my favourite notification you are so good for TH-cam golf , can we please get an update on jimmy though please
love watching these challenges, thought I'd give it a go my self today and match my best ever round which was nine over 8 on the front nine and 1 on the back -did the eight on the front nine and we'll leave it there !!! OK I was one worse than you today (90)- keep it up great to see you improving
Good on ya Pete, commitment to improving is great to see. Passionate about the game plus enjoying the test. I wish you nothing but success fella. 🫡⛳️👍
It's because you've set out to do it! You'll do it on a round that's not being filmed or with some mates. Always the way!
Keep going 🙌. Love the videos
Great effort tubes just keep going 👍🏻👍🏻
4ft from the back of the pin is same as 4ft from
the front of the pin , sounds like Trigger but makes sense
take an extra club so you dont have to belt it
👍
Also, if you hit 15 putts in a row short and to the left, try hitting them harder and aiming to the right.
😂😂😂@@ToddPacker-l6y
Love this series, might not have beaten the record but the improvements are there, keep grinding!
I think that's a great effort and a good score. Well done ✅
Hope this helps knock a few shots off next time
You know you’re improving when you’ve broke 90 and know you could have played a lot better. Well done tubes 👍🏼
Love each video of yours boys. Great variety. You can do it Tubes!
Well played Tubes, some really good golf. Look forward to the next episode
Some great shots, not sure how you are 13 handicap though at the moment. Must be some scores the legends don’t know about?!
well done tubey! jeep going mate and it will come 🎉
Big up Tubesy, only a matter of time before it all clicks for you 🙌🏻
Pete, never seen you putt so bad, just one of those days, chin up. You should contact Liam of Golf Mates and arrange to have a round with Old Man Pat, it’ll be the best playing lesson you could wish for and you would learn so much about plotting your way around the course. A big up to you and keep up the great work. 👏🏻👏🏻
Putting cost you so many shots!
Stick with it brother, we have all been there! 👊🏻💥
Your putting let you down big time , if you putted like you know you you’d have broke 80 , keep going tubes !!👊🏼❤️
Good effort mate. Love this series.
as a struggling golfer as well i share your feelings and am hoping you keep on improving and must say you always look immaculate
Baby steps tubes. 1 at a time. Excellent!
