Since I am on the verge of starting medicine school next term I am very interested in this topic. So would you study medicine again? Do you think you "lost your 20s" due to medicine? (That's what I hear many people saying).
it’s a difficult question to answer. Medicine has taught me more than anything else in my life, and not having these experiences are impossible to forget now. I think the main thing I am reflecting on is that you have to look at the big picture and try to enjoy the journey. Don’t think of it as “losing your 20s”, rather it’s a “privilege to be learning and treating patients and building connections in my 20s”.
I had to redefine what success means to me. The wrong definition stole too much joy from my life. The new definition of success is becoming the best version of myself I can be. It takes lifetime to mold, shape, and change a character. It’s a life long process. I want to ask myself if this is the best person I can be, and if not what I don’t like about me, and address it. I like who I am becoming more and more every day. It’s a very fulfilling process to like who I am. I really don’t like my old self; bitter, resentful, negative, no meaningful relationships, strife with family, etc. I am none of these things anymore; I have joy, peace, friends, reconciled with family, beautiful friendships, and lots of joy! This journey is well worth it!
This was a touching story Matty, a surgeon told me the other week "as a surgeon these complex procedures seem very basic/mundane, but for the patient it's hopefully the first and last time they go through something so big and traumatising, it's easy to get lost as a clinician and think about these procedures as tick boxes but it's super important to take a moment and just talk to the patient and really give them your all in the moment" and I think this is something that I applied to a similar context to you, instead of just going for tick boxes and getting stuff signed off, it really pays off to just put patients first and give them your all!
Well a former surgeon here🤚 I get that you have good intentions... but no. We are already giving our best every day. What he described in the video is us giving our whole. We do all these things not just to advance in our career but to be the best doctor we can. But more than often it takes a toll. And I understand being sick is really vulnerable but being around sickness all the time, that makes you vulnerable too. And just socializing with the patients it doesn't help. When I first started there was this patient who was being treated for over 2 years in my department and everyone else knew him and his family. When he passed away everyone felt bad. The only one that wasn't affected was me because despite the fact that I looked after him for two months I never developed a bond with him. His family although at first found it annoying just because they saw how I would treat him, after his death they thanked me. We actually argued with his daughter. But they came to understand that I do my job decently. It's just that I don't want to have a relationship with the patients other than plain professional. Anyway. I think I just got a bit triggered by your comment. I don't believe in creating a bond with a patient. It's just too much emotionally. And I believe more people have to accept that

Omg this is what I’m going thru right now! I chose nursing because I wanna be able to enjoy my life with my kids. I don’t wanna be rich and or drive a fancy car. All I want to do is spend time with my” family”(kids)and travel and live just comfortably. I’m glad I didn’t chose to be a doctor. I’m currently working in a nursing home and I see how easy life slips away. My parents wanted me to become a doctor and of course they look down on me for being just “nurse “but in my head I say it’s my life and I do as I please. Yes I’m a rebel in my family the black sheep. I stand up for my self and I’m okay with being looking down on, it’s my life my mental health. If they want a doctor then they should do it. Yes my family hates me because I stand my ground. Life is about making your self happy not others.
I was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago and the nurse gave me reassurance and made me feel x10 better than the prescription for vitamins the dr sent me home with. Im thankful the dr was able to help but it was nothing compared to the nurses hard work . I will always remember her💗 being a nurse is an amazing job and you impact our lives tremendously, don't allow anyone to make you feel otherwise
LMFAO! You sound like a new grad 🥴 ‘Nursing is so FuN gUyS’…hun I’ve done 13yrs in LTC. Wait until your hair turns gray at 33. We absolutely aren’t helping anyone by working in corrupt nursing homes. Goodluck greenback 😂
You and your family sound a lot like me and my family. I'm just 19 years old and I'm training to be a nurse, but I'm also hoping to become a doctor. My father doesn't support my decision to become a nurse, which I made suddenly one day. I know what I'm doing and I still believe in my choice.
Your parents raised you well because you trust yourself enough to rebel against them. And we only have one life. Who wants to study/work all the time under all that pressure!!! Unless you have a genuine passion for the medical field. It is funny that you told your parent that if they want a doctor then they should it lol. I actually said the same thing to my mom when she was pressuring me. I told her she can just start studying now and go to Harvard and become a doctor since that is what she wants rather than what I want lol.
I am going to nursing school this year I am 18 I chose it under pressure because I didn't know what else to chose to major in college even before applying I felt it wasn't for me because I could have breakdowns when people pressure me and tell me to multitask and I need details description of everything done quietly and not rushed or I would have a breakdown literally if someone make me pressured in work for one hour I get irritated and need sleep and then my concentration has always been low like not joking u could tell me go to the supermarket and I would get to the pharmacy and the. Remember I need to be in the supermarket so I get afraid of making mistakes and it's responsabily the problem is I have presurre and me myself I create pressure for myself to be something big lime I am smart and I see people who grades in scroll are much lower and becoming lawyers@@Iluvmydogs128and engineers and doctors and I am just a nurse but then I don't know what else to do and I don't want to do an 12 hour shift 4 days a week I will be lifeless and then the pays aren't high but I don't know what else to chose I don't if I lack Independence and confidence for me to know what I want I'm thinking of leaving college even to thought it's not the best choice long terme any help 😢
My parents are forcing me to become a doctor, although I do want to be one. I’m scared that I would forget what I love the most and what makes me happy. This just made my head more clearer to not be so caught up in work and think about life more. Thank you ❤️
amazing, thanks for sharing that. When parents put pressure on it raises the stakes even more. Expectations lead us to frustration. Glad we could help you clear your head!
Do NOT do it. Trust me, it's not worth it. I want to be in it myself and have no family pressure and even I feel like it's not worth it so many times. If it's about money, there are so many careers in which you make a lot of money without going into debt or waiting to see the return on your investment in your thirties. Ultimately, it's your life. Do what feels right to you.
@@ishootbishez6974 this is what I was thinking. You could easily just not do it. My parents wanted me to go to college but instead I found a profession I liked, moved up in the company and make 60k a year. Don’t let your parents push u into something that will make you miserable.
A premed student here! I think this is my third time watching this video - and the third time really hit me and allowed me to pause and reflect on those three questions in the last few seconds of this video. Thank you for the vulnerability and for trying a new concept in your channel, really loved it. 🙌🏻💯

This opened my eyes. Although I'm new to this Medical field, I can feel the pressure already. Thank you for this video it helped me realize again why I want to be in med school not for grades only but to become a Good Doctor ☺️
I really enjoyed it thank you! We are so caught up in the future that we forget the moments we are living right now and how we can quit this earth at anytime .
It is so damn true about what he mentioned. Personal life matters! My cousin, she is a surgent by design. Since we are Asian, her family "brainwash" her that "saving people's life" is the highest form of success in life and nothing else can beat that. She is rarely at home and she even rent and stay in a small room located a few hundreds meters away from hospital she is working so she can easily commute. Her parents stay alone by themselves and only exchange updates through phone calls daily. Every Lunar New Year, during family reunion, the awkwardness is through the roof. On the dinning table, the only topic can talk is about doctor topics and report her achievements. The conversation momentum die down really quick as if like inviting a noble stranger into family reunion and we cannot talk something humor/dumb because we don't want to be looked like idiots.
I am Asian too. The problem is that our parents have no idea how HARD it is to become a doctor because they’ve never walked that path. My mom wanted me to become a doctor when I was younger and she has never even graduated from college! She has never studied hard in her own life yet she wanted me to go to Harvard lmao. They have no idea that they are selling their kid’s soul for money and status. Is it really worth it? I don’t think so.
@@Iluvmydogs128 i hate when parents COULDN'T "become something" but now want their dream to come through THEIR KIDS.. bro their kids will someday have their own personal life to live and struggle through the challenges ALONE, the child will be on his own!! If being a doctor wasn't for the child!then the child will probably continue suffering for his ENTIRE LIFE.... just because a wrong decision made by HIS PARENTS
@@OkokokRosepetal exactly!!! They want to live their dreams through their kids when they couldn’t even do it for themselves -that is not fair. I actually know a kid who studied about 10 years to get into a medical school but she never got in. It’s just so sad.
I'm a med student and can relate a lot whit your feelings about the study and the limited time of the outer world.. please talk more about this topic. Thank u for share this!
Thank you for being vulnerable. Being vulnerable is not a side many of us would want to show or to share. It's okay to show weakness because we can draw strength from it too. Been pondering over questions in my head similar to yours. It's not easy to be a health worker or a student in the medical field right now. Too much responsibility. Sometimes, a little tooooo much. But you just take it one day at a time and hold unto the core values and principles that you carry on why you decided to become a doctor (this saved me from situations that I didn't want to be in) Hope you get the answers to your questions. Keep safe 🙏
thanks for the lovely message. I think sharing our vulnerabilities are important. It’s nice to know other people are feeling the same way, the higher the stakes, the more pressure we feel. And going back to those core values and principles helps me recenter
I've finally found my most favourite med TH-cam channel. I don't even study medicine nor am I from America, but some of these channels make me feel pressured that I'm not doing enough. You guys have a really nice approach to life and career. Thank you!
I'm thinking of applying to med school in a few years (currently 30). Since I work in rehab and have my own patients now, I honestly want to take my time getting to this next goal. I'm not in a hurry because the burnout is real. I still want to take vacations and make "as little sacrifices" as possible so I don't become that insane student that doesn't have a life. Been there done that. There's more to life and as we get older its really not about putting ourselves last and abandoning ourselves... all in the name of success. Balance is key-- work hard but rest and have fun too!! Remember your why!!
Really love the reflection in this video, it demonstrates a more personal side to your medical experience that we don't get to see in your productivity videos.
Yes Dr Matty, its just natural having that kind of feeling.. for a patient.. but at the end of the day, youre on your feet again.. and the world is proud of you.. 😊
Important to note that's not discussed is a fairly high suicide rate with MD"s, Dentists,....why? The stress is unbearable with killer schedules and study routines in the prime of your life with absolutely no social life leaving me incredibly exhausted, depressed, loss of self esteem etc etc. I left also after 2 years and best .ove I've made. Good luck
Depends, I personally like that life styles of learning lots of things. All I say is that this careers are not for everyone. At least here in Mexico medical care is non-existent, here surgeries are not managed by number of patients instead they are managed for a certain amount of time. The salary is not the same as in the USA, but the truth is that it is not useful to have a lot of salary, the important thing is to have enough salary to pay for the basics of the home and fundamental needs of the family. It's not about buying a fancy car and a fancy house.
I never regretted my journey and i will never regret it was the best journey … yea sometime you get depressed as other friend that didnt study medicine start to earn money and have time to party and communicating and working…..)and you still studying but after internship you will earn more than they ever made and yes its stressfull journey but sometime the career choose you after 30 you will never think that way at least what ever happening in the world as corona virus and market drops or war or or … doctor never stop and they are needed by every country
I am a first year med school and I always put in the past work above everything. I sacrificed my health,my time spend family, my time spend with friends, hobbies... everything. I am bored and fed up of memorizing. I don't know how to break this cycle taking into consideration that despite all my effort I am in a situation I'm failing my exams... I am wasting my life...
Thank you for sharing your story. I have seen several medical doctors and pharmacist come out of the profession or blacklisted. the medical profession is very tough.
When I failed at becoming a Dr, my life crumbled. I didn’t know what to do, I was lost. It took me 10 years to bounce from that failure. When we have a goal like that as definition of success and if we can’t achieve it, it will destroy us. Now I enjoy life, enjoy the process of working on my character l, enjoy my children, family, and do the things I enjoy. Turns I didn’t enjoy medicine as much as I thought. I worked in a lab in a hospital for 6.5 years. After search I found that what I truly enjoy is music. I was way off on my career choice. I am happy doing what I love and have zero regrets, and I am actually happy that my medical endeavors didn’t work out. They didn’t work out because it wasn’t what I was about.
This video provided me the therapy I REALLY needed today. Thanks, Matty. I like the pause before the end, whether intentional or not...it put me to action and I began to reflect and write some stuff. I feel good..thanks again. MORE of these? :)
This was so touching and inspiring ! thank you so much for sharing it Matty ! your words & the story you shared will definetely be a wise reminder for me whenever i need it =)
This is the exact thing which makes me think back to my decision of preparing for medicine. I'm a student rn, I've not even got into a college. But medicine itself is a whole mountain which starts from here only. Yes, I have to do immense struggle to clear the exam, I want to be a doctor, but at last all I want is to live happily more than money or some else materialistic things. I think about it many times that the people who are not in this field don't even have to work this much, earn pretty much than docs, and live their lives. Though I am really passionate to become a doctor, but the reality is far away than the only quote qhich is repeated, "you'll save lives" that's good I know but I want to live my life. Right now I'm a very cheerful person and I love my behaviour. I really don't want to lose this side of me as this helps me to fight from all problems literally laughing, I'm not joking. I know it is important to be a bit serious while preparing for med entrance exams, I really don't wanna live the life you just described. I'm in a paradox, all of the suggestions are most welcomed.
this made me cry. i am still a teen now and always dreamed to be a doctor . i work hard for perfect scores and now i finds that i dont get them like i used to.when all the kids are enjoying their schooldays, i am in severe depression about my marks and i feel like dropping out of school. the thing i am asking myself now is.........being happy is just the thing u want. my parents are both doctors and they are so happy that they are doctors. they say they loved studying . so what i mean, if u love to do something and u work hard for it, u will get it. but when u work hard and hate what you are working on.......... even though it can get you to who you wanna be........ u'll be like how i am now, feeling hopeless in life just when i am 14 year old.
It’s ok ur only 14 (now probably 15) u still have a long way to go, u r still learning, life is just beginning for you, u won’t be in a hopeless cycle like that forever ♥
i am tired of going to doctors, waiting weeks/months for appts, driving in scary traffic to get there, waiting for hours to be seen…for a 5-10 minute encounter with a doctor who didnt even glance at my chart and wont listen to any questions as they race out the door. next! i am 67, have been ill for four years after awful bout H1N1 flu . i’m done. dont care anymore. ready to go i cant take the fatigue and pain anymore
Seek purpose and fulfillment, that is the key to happiness as a Doctor. Forget the ego, be humble and know your privileged to be a doctor! That’s what I tell my medical students. Don’t get lost, always be you!
Great video bro! I'm a paediatrician somewhere in Southeast Asia, but moved to NZ because I want my son to have more opportunities in life. I'm not a doctor here, but I hope someday I won't regret this move.
Going to med school is Highly expensive and it takes year to finish med school then get a residency rightfully so because being a doctor is a serious job that not just anybody can do, but before you go to med school ask yourself Is it what you really want? And is it worth it, if you want to be a doctor for the money you won't be happy, I wanted to be a doctor but after seeing how hard it's gonna be I'm starting to have second thoughts.
🌟 Amen, enjoy your purpose and the rest will follow as you reflect, accept to never live with regret. Amazing testmony, thank you for sharing to inspire and empower those of us entering Medicine. 🌟
I graduated last year in medicine and I have one year of residency behind me. I think I am going to leave this job… I don’t want to give everything else up for that
as a pharmacy school dropout, I think switching to Computer science was the best choice for me, I just want flexibility to enjoy my life, not be a slave to impress and satisfy my never satisfied parents lmao
As a doctor i get patient blessing and also a patient criticism but above all if you know that you want to do it Then you will be satisfied by our descision Being a doctor means after god you comes because of saving and improving health of a being,so if you want to be a doctor you will have a busy life but a full filling life
I came from a family of addicts, and getting away from them saved my life. This kind of blanket pro-family message sounds very different to people like me.
I am sorry to hear that. We were in your shoes once upon a time. You need to realize that this can not be your reality and slow work your skills and management systems enough to make it out of that vicious cycle. We are an example that if you have the will, purpose, and absolute goals, you can absolutely do anything.
Such thought provoking questions, and a very different kind of video...in a good way! It's nice to have the evidence based videos but this is also nice having the human connection shown through video.
If you have a genuine passion for it then it is great. But if you were pressure by your parents to obtain that success for the family and you didn’t have a genuine passion for it then….you have sort of sacrificed your life for this ‘success’. I am Asian American so I get it tho.
I got zero. A lot (not all) of the mid to late 20’s kind of sucked but there’s nothing else I could’ve done and cleared six figures easily while working part time / like 2 days per week. Plus it’s not difficult to find work at all. There’s always a market.
Im in my first step of choosing the medical field... I think i like it... i dont have any other likings or ideas for my future either... do you think im making the right choice? I feel stuck after listening to this... really... but im not blaming anyone... i just want more advice...
Lovely! Please have a look into homeopathy it's such an amazing form of healing for patients because it's so personal & your treatment is for your specific symptoms which focuses on the mental & emotional side of things more than the physical because physical is a manifestation of whats happening on a deeper level of the organism (person)
Hello, I want to get into the med school in 2 years, I am still in High School want to do medicine, I want to become a Doctor, I am studying the following subjects, English, French, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Sociology but out of Biology,Chemistry and physics, I did not studied Physics, I studied only Bio and Chem and want to know if I will be able to get into the Med School even though Physics was not studied, I am hoping to become a Doctor very soon that will bring encouragement and save lives, Thank you for your time.
I have the choice to Go to three universities , pharmacy , dentistry , medicine , medicine is good but I have that big fear that I will be reading and putting hard work allways , that I will mess alot of things , maybe starting a business or something will be better , my dad is a doctor and a good one , he never forced me on anything , and I like have no interest in any field LoL , like I feel confused , I don't know what to do , is medicine good or not ? , Is it hard or does it worth that all hard work ?
Whichever you feel most interested in. If you are interested and passionate about something then studying won’t be a chore, you will enjoy it and it will just be an obstacle that you overcome. You can shadow pharmacists, dentists, to get a better idea of their working conditions etc. Just pick something you won’t think about later and regret doing it
Forget what the guy above me said. Studying will always feel like a chore. You can't be studying for years straight enjoying it unless it's the #1 thing you want to do. I guarantee everyone would rather spend play games, spend time with others, or sleep instead. As for pharmacy, dentistry or medicine, all three help people. If you want to serve people, it doesn't matter which one you choose. You either want to choose an easier schooling path with closer gratification or a harder schooling path with a delayed, better, gratification. Or you have a fetish for teeth or drugs or something lol. What I'm trying to say is: it'll always be hard. you won't enjoy most of it-- literally nobody does. You can either accept the difficult path and be the 1 in 100 or fall down and be like the rest.
Ah I am scared now. I applied to High Schools that have pre-med because I want to be a doctor but my parents say I should be a dentist instead. I can't change my options anymore anyways.
I’m thinking about becoming a PA. I know it’s different because you’re a doctor. But I truly don’t see myself doing anything else or what else I want to do. I want to go into medicine but I also don’t want to feel regret. Any advice?
PA is very rewarding and has a lot more flexibility than a doctor does in terms of career paths. I would say get as much exposure as you can to all opportunities so you don’t regret the greener grass on the other side
Anyone reading this know that Jesus Christ loves you and he wants to form a wonderful relationship with you and trust me it is the most beautiful thing you will ever experience in your entire life. So please give him a chance because what do you have to lose. Also, go to God bc he is coming back and when he does if you are not save and have repented then you could go to hell to be tortured in eternal fire. God doesn't want that. Please seek God I beg you from the bottom of my heart before it is too late.😊

If you are an adult your parents are not forcing you to do anything. It is your choice.
@@ishootbishez6974 this is what I was thinking. You could easily just not do it. My parents wanted me to go to college but instead I found a profession I liked, moved up in the company and make 60k a year. Don’t let your parents push u into something that will make you miserable.
They are narcissistic and toxic. Get away from them asap.
A premed student here! I think this is my third time watching this video - and the third time really hit me and allowed me to pause and reflect on those three questions in the last few seconds of this video. Thank you for the vulnerability and for trying a new concept in your channel, really loved it. 🙌🏻💯
Amazing, that was our goal, to stop and think about those questions. Happy to have you Kate and let us know if you need any help on your journey 💪🏽
Hey, I just wanted to share with you the hope we have in Jesus Christ! Because we all sin, we fall short of God's perfect standard for our lives. The punishment for that sin is death or hell, so we needed a savior. Consequently, God came to earth in human form as Jesus Christ, the son of God. Jesus lived a perfect life to be a sinless sacrifice for us. Then Jesus died a death on the cross and, after three days, rose again, giving us the free gift of salvation! The Bible says in Romans 10:9, “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” So if we confess Jesus as the son of God, genuinely believe in the sacrifice he made for us, then repent of our sins and live for God, we will be saved! I just want you to know how much God loves and longs for a relationship with you. The Lord has granted me so much peace and strength throughout the storms of my life and he can so the same for you! God Bless you!
Damn. This made me cry. I appreciate you making this and showing a vulnerable side, different from your other content.
thank you! Glad you were able to connect with my message :)
I'm an Architecture student totally different from med schools but i really learned a lot from this video
This was a great lesson❤
No matter what field, We are all human in the end
This opened my eyes. Although I'm new to this Medical field, I can feel the pressure already. Thank you for this video it helped me realize again why I want to be in med school not for grades only but to become a Good Doctor ☺️
Love to hear it, we need more good doctors out there so best of luck on your journey!
My parents think being doctor is the best thing ever and I am indin
I am Asian too. The problem is that our parents have no idea how HARD it is to become a doctor because they’ve never walked that path. My mom wanted me to become a doctor when I was younger and she has never even graduated from college! She has never studied hard in her own life yet she wanted me to go to Harvard lmao. They have no idea that they are selling their kid’s soul for money and status. Is it really worth it? I don’t think so.
@@Iluvmydogs128 true, my mom is a teacher
Thank u for share this!
glad you found a connection. yes definitely will be talking about this topic more
Thank you for being vulnerable. But you just take it one day at a time and hold unto the core values and principles that you carry on why you decided to become a doctor (this saved me from situations that I didn't want to be in)
Hope you get the answers to your questions. Keep safe 🙏
thanks for the lovely message.
Really love the reflection in this video, it demonstrates a more personal side to your medical experience that we don't get to see in your productivity videos.
glad you enjoyed it! haha thought we’d share what else we enjoy talking about other than productivity and studying 😹
Yes Dr Matty, its just natural having that kind of feeling.. for a patient.. but at the end of the day, youre on your feet again.. and the world is proud of you.. 😊
Pfft
Been in the trenches for the past few weeks, definitely needed this, thanks guys 🙏🏻
trenches are learning opportunities man, let’s come out stronger
I am a first year med school and I always put in the past work above everything. I sacrificed my health,my time spend family, my time spend with friends, hobbies... everything. I am bored and fed up of memorizing. I don't know how to break this cycle taking into consideration that despite all my effort I am in a situation I'm failing my exams... I am wasting my life...
how are you now?
ur gonna be rich so it dont matter

Love your videos.
yess let's go! good luck my friend, welcome to the fam
This was really powerful guys. We should always treasure those we hold close in our lives :)
It means a lot man, thanks for taking the time
Thank you for sharing your story.
I also feel that way in medschool. Pace yourself. Nurture your passion.
pacing is super important. Nice to know I’m not alone
Loved this. Thanks a lot ❤️
✌🏼glad you connected with the mesage
Me too..I hope we will make the right choice for us
I want to become a doctor but somtimes am not too sure ..like you said i hope we make the right choice@@Narimen154sa
this made me cry. i am still a teen now and always dreamed to be a doctor . i work hard for perfect scores and now i finds that i dont get them like i used to.when all the kids are enjoying their schooldays, i am in severe depression about my marks and i feel like dropping out of school. the thing i am asking myself now is.........being happy is just the thing u want. my parents are both doctors and they are so happy that they are doctors. they say they loved studying . so what i mean, if u love to do something and u work hard for it, u will get it. but when u work hard and hate what you are working on.......... even though it can get you to who you wanna be........ u'll be like how i am now, feeling hopeless in life just when i am 14 year old.
that's okay you'll actually be ok one day times like that do come plus you won't commit yourself thinking like that everyday trust me
It’s ok ur only 14 (now probably 15) u still have a long way to go, u r still learning, life is just beginning for you, u won’t be in a hopeless cycle like that forever ♥
This moved me - thanks
i am tired of going to doctors, waiting weeks/months for appts, driving in scary traffic to get there, waiting for hours to be seen…for a 5-10 minute encounter with a doctor who didnt even glance at my chart and wont listen to any questions as they race out the door. next! i am 67, have been ill for four years after awful bout H1N1 flu . i’m done. dont care anymore. ready to go i cant take the fatigue and pain anymore
I don't think anyone regrets you becoming a doctor more than your patients. 😊
Thank you for this.....its honestly a moving one.
Seek purpose and fulfillment, that is the key to happiness as a Doctor. Forget the ego, be humble and know your privileged to be a doctor! That’s what I tell my medical students. Don’t get lost, always be you!
I look at life as experiences no expectations just always learning🙏🏿never stress myself out because life is precious
Tell em fam 🙏
Most doctors I know, regret having selected medicine as a career, the time it takes, the hours...etc
Huge cliff hanger bro...
Keep at it man. Great video!
💪🏽 every day is a cliffhanger bro. Hope you’re doing well man!
🌟 Amen, enjoy your purpose and the rest will follow as you reflect, accept to never live with regret. Amazing testmony, thank you for sharing to inspire and empower those of us entering Medicine. 🌟
Any one will regret something at the end it's inevitable
This is the most realistic comment do far.
I graduated last year in medicine and I have one year of residency behind me. I think I am going to leave this job…
I don’t want to give everything else up for that

As a doctor i get patient blessing and also a patient criticism but above all if you know that you want to do it Then you will be satisfied by our descision
Being a doctor means after god you comes because of saving and improving health of a being,so if you want to be a doctor you will have a busy life but a full filling life
That is true! I agree whole heartedly.
This is heart breaking
My biggest regret was going to the doctor in the first place they almost killed me with pills and damaged my vision severely
I came from a family of addicts, and getting away from them saved my life. This kind of blanket pro-family message sounds very different to people like me.
fuck that hurt
thank you.
Thank you for this ❤
I have worked all my life like a donkey and now am stuck ,traped in this cycle of work .
No way to escape, no way home
I am sorry to hear that. We were in your shoes once upon a time.
You need to realize that this can not be your reality and slow work your skills and management systems enough to make it out of that vicious cycle. We are an example that if you have the will, purpose, and absolute goals, you can absolutely do anything.
A real thanks, means a lot@@KoiAcademy

Very inspiring, thank you!!
thanks for watching :)
I wanted to know about a career about medecine byology and domestication at the same time but were not ready for that conversation
If you have a genuine passion for it then it is great. But if you were pressure by your parents to obtain that success for the family and you didn’t have a genuine passion for it then….you have sort of sacrificed your life for this ‘success’. I am Asian American so I get it tho.
Hugs Dr. Matty 🤗

Thank you❤
Amazing videoo.. I loved it... Thank you for sharing.. it's all about the little moments we share with the ones we love😊
so true!
wonderful video! thanks
I got zero. A lot (not all) of the mid to late 20’s kind of sucked but there’s nothing else I could’ve done and cleared six figures easily while working part time / like 2 days per week.
Plus it’s not difficult to find work at all. There’s always a market.
This video was a masterpiece

Im in my first step of choosing the medical field... I think i like it... i dont have any other likings or ideas for my future either... do you think im making the right choice? I feel stuck after listening to this... really... but im not blaming anyone... i just want more advice...
Thanks for posting this video. I am feeling the exact same way. I’ve already matched and I should be happy right? But idk how I’m feeling.
Lovely!
Please have a look into homeopathy it's such an amazing form of healing for patients because it's so personal & your treatment is for your specific symptoms which focuses on the mental & emotional side of things more than the physical because physical is a manifestation of whats happening on a deeper level of the organism (person)
The truth is that’s what u sacrifice in becoming successful
The perennial question faced by everyone. “Why are we here? “
Us personally? We are here to help people learn, grow and build their lives. How would you answer the question?
Great vid!
Amazing Video
Hello,
I want to get into the med school in 2 years, I am still in High School want to do medicine, I want to become a Doctor, I am studying the following subjects, English, French, Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Sociology but out of Biology,Chemistry and physics, I did not studied Physics, I studied only Bio and Chem and want to know if I will be able to get into the Med School even though Physics was not studied, I am hoping to become a Doctor very soon that will bring encouragement and save lives,
Thank you for your time.
Oww Matty... You teared me up
i did my job then 😅
It’s about relationships bro. You can be ambitious without sacrificing that. That’s what it’s summed up to.
Same here no interest in any field
Ah I am scared now. I applied to High Schools that have pre-med because I want to be a doctor but my parents say I should be a dentist instead. I can't change my options anymore anyways.
A lot of rizz from Matty 😂😂
Do you advise me to study medicine? Can I combine medicine and entrepreneurship?
I wanna try medicine test to get enter any advice? Thanks
Great video bro
hey man thanks for checking it out
I’m thinking about becoming a PA.
I want to ask a series of questions; 1 are you a transformers fan? Next ones will continue
Matty ❤️
so inspiring
That intro😅
Anyone reading this know that Jesus Christ loves you and he wants to form a wonderful relationship with you and trust me it is the most beautiful thing you will ever experience in your entire life. So please give him a chance because what do you have to lose. Also, go to God bc he is coming back and when he does if you are not save and have repented then you could go to hell to be tortured in eternal fire. God doesn't want that. Please seek God I beg you from the bottom of my heart before it is too late.😊
Because he doesn't have a mean in his life, he doesn't have a god to wroship
