Those are the two most scenic beach resorts in the world. I was lucky to get an all day boat trip from male to several local islands and a snorkeling opportunity just off the fancy resorts for 25 euro. The outer islands resort islands probably can't be beat but air or seaplane and accommodations are cost prohibitive

both are so amazing but love that the Maldives is so safe and no stray dogs. The water in the Maldives is also better. The Seychelles have warmer people though

The Seychelles would be the clear winner for me - all that wonderful countryside - but the travelling time from the UK and the hot climate would make both a big no no.
My preference for Island holidays would be La Palma, The Isles of Scilly and any Scottish Island.

It sure is hard to get there.
But when it comes to those 2 the incredible nature and marine life surely made it worth it for us.

Most people don't know that the Seychelles have 2 sections of islands. The granitics that are shown here in this video.
