Watch how to make grilled Portobello mushroom burgers. Mushroom caps are marinated in a balsamic vinegar and garlic marinade, and grilled, which gives them a wonderful meaty flavor and texture. Both vegetarians and meat eaters love these mushroom burgers. Add a slice of provolone cheese and top your burger with all the fixings!

Did ours in a cast iron skillet. They turned out great!
Recipe for Marinade: 3 teaspoons garlic, 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 2 Tablespoons olive oil, 1 teaspoon dry basil, 1 dry oregano, salt, pepper to taste.
Marinade 15 mins, cook 5-8 mins rebrushing with sauce as needed
Thank you!!!!!!
I've never done a grilled portobello and really appreciate this video!
It was my first time grilling portobello mushroom burgers and these were awesome!! I added a little red pepper to them though LOL. What can I say, I love my spicy food.
Thanks for letting us know! Glad they were awesome-great suggestion to kick up the heat :)
Looks good, I usually don't put any marinade and it still tastes amazing with some garlic aioli on the burger :)
i need to make one right now.
Looks delicious
Beautiful
Vegan cheese for me. Delicious recipe, thanks!
Looks yum. And healthy too. Good job!
I tried this recipe years ago, I didn't like it. So now I just sprinkle garlic salt and a tiny bit of soy sauce on them after I cook them😋.
Hi, Chai Lixianchai - You are welcome to fry these burgers on the stove top. Before you start, spray or swirl a small amount of cooking oil into the pan to coat the bottom and sides. Let it heat just until a bit of food sizzles in the oil, and then slide in the burgers. Enjoy!
Thanks:)
Even better on ground beef burger
Can we fry it instead of grilling?
I do mine in a pan, and kind of use a spatula to squish them down so they cook evenly :)
im not gonna make mine with vinegar let see how the turn out im excited
Actually the "vinegar" flavor of the balsmic cooks out and is no longer there when done. Same for "alcohol" content of cooking wines etc.
Hi- would you also make/cook a recipe for fast carbs meals pleaseeeeeeeeeee.....
One portebello coming up!
I dont have balsamic though
Is the texture similar?
AMAZING THANKS YOU GOODNESS 🌟 DAPHNE COTTON 💜, AWESOME
How many calorie
It was soo tasty, but I didn’t add enough garlic lol.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Does it taste like meat? I'm a new vegetarian and I wanna know..
Thank you for your question, Crystal. This Portobello Mushroom Burger will not taste like meat. The portobello is often used for its savory flavor and dense texture. Enjoy!
I love how Wendy's say portebella melt burger when there just regular small mushrooms people just don't realize a real portebella burger
I love when people don't use there correctly.
Its.not clean if you dont clean or remove gills 😱
A “teaspoon”
I'm so sorry you had to try this, Ron Swanson.
🙏😎
Sounds like giada
Fucking Delicious
watching this woman cook was the most annoying thing ever. the way she wouldn't just empty the DRY spices into the balsamic (she actually used a fork, for what reason i don't know). the way she dabbed the marinade on the grilling burgers like it was tissue paper and not a mushroom. Cooking is not really a time to be dainty.
02:14 oh that was annoying lol
You didn't even wash them, you just wiped them. That's disgusting. There is still dirt on them.
Because mushrooms absorbs liquids very easily you would want to wipe them down with water to clean them, not wash, or the mushrooms will become soggy.
You don't wash mushrooms :)
I wash mine, removing dirt with fingers, mop gently with cloth, and let them air dry, then cook whatever.
That was a ridiculous job of marinating. get your hands in there!
