if you buy me a coffee, I I would be happy(; ;) www.buymeacoffee.com/saikotak...
Hi eveyone! I am Saiko! welcome to my channnel!
I captured my everyday life in the unfashionable yet slightly retro streets of Osaka, Japan.
My personal highlights include the coin laundry and the delicious mixed soba noodles, hehe.
But this is my unfiltered reality.
Living, at least half the time, involves struggling with negative emotions and tough moments, and I tried to express that honestly as well. It might have turned out a bit dark...
Yeah, my biggest issue is work. I'm kind of disappointed in myself for not doing the fulfilling, enjoyable job I imagined when I was younger.
Even the painful experiences of the past appear embellished when looked back upon, and the pain has faded away. So, I am sure that even this seemingly miserable life in this 20-square-meter rundown apartment will become a funny page to laugh at later on.
That's why I've decided to capture.
Well, I'd be happy if you enjoyed it! Any comments are more than welcome!
    Have a wonderful day!

Thank you for showing us all a little bit of your life. You're only 24, there's plenty of time to figure out what you want to do with your life, and your parents will always love you even if you make decisions they don't agree with. When it comes to romance, no one can predict the future. You may find someone without trying. A lot of us struggle with loneliness but don't give up! The internet is a strange and wild place, lol. You have all of our support! Ganbare!!

I'm older than you and I also went through a period where I thought I was disappointing my parents. What I want tell you is, is that you're still very young, and you don't need to know what your life's purpose is just yet. Just because you haven't found the 'perfect' job now doesn't mean that you wasted your college degree- you still have it, and you will use it in the future. There'll come a time in your life when you feel like you're ready to find something else and take on more responsibilities. Perhaps people who watch your videos will give you the encouragement you need :) And anyway, you are doing other things that ARE increasing your skills such as your English practice through these videos!
And one more thing! Having a romantic partner isn't important in my opinion, but having friends IS! So please don't give up on making and keeping friends~

Thank you for the kind message that leads to learning! Reading this, I realized that I might be rushing to conclusions, as if it's a problem unique to me. including you, everyone is likely taking a long time to work through things. Thank you for making me aware of that. I'll keep pushing forward and doing what I can.
And I also want to make meaningful friendships.

Beyond appearances and smiles, if you look closely, there are actually many people in this world who are struggling. Knowing that you are not alone in this, can be helpful in coping. They say that "the things we take for granted, someone else is praying for".
In any case you are still very young and I am sure you will find your way. I love your videos!😊

i remember when i was 24 yrs old. i was living in the philippines and i don’t have a job and i can’t get a job due to bad habits. i was in and out of jail more than 10 times…i don’t have a house. i chose to live on the streets because i cause too much trouble at home. one day i was so sick and i thought i was gonna die. a pastor decided to take me off the streets and let me live at the church. while living at the church i learned how to play different musical instruments (guitar, drums and keyboard). i was able to make a living playing music at weddings, birthdays and big parties. i was able to travel different countries and play music at different bars and restaurants around the world. fast forward today i now live in america and living the american dream with my family. thanks to god…you’re 24 yrs old and have a job and a house to live. keep believing in yourself. Find your “ikigai”. your time will come. good luck and godbless.😊

i was in japan last week and was staying there for 10 days, i would sum it up to say that it was an amazing experience for me having to travel and meet people along the way. I know japan has a rich history and culture and its people are very considerate as well as reserved. I went there alone, my first train broke down, i struggled talking in japanese and i got lost, but in all of it i found myself really happy and grateful because all the choices ive made in life has brought me to this wonderful country. The people that i have made friends with, when i come back to japan i'll definitely meet them at their prefecture and hopefully be able to talk properly. if anything osaka and kyoto was the best part of my trip. Perhaps one day i might meet Saiko along the way in the future and cheer you up ^^

Do not be pressured by society. Just follow your heart and do the things that will truly make you happy, and above all, make you feel like a human being indeed. I've visited Japan, including Osaka, a few times. Loosen up a bit. Don't be so uptight. Things will fall into place. I wish you a wonderful life! Thanks.

Hi, I just want to let you know you are not alone. Growing up in the United States with Asian parents, I understand the pressure that is put on you to succeed and do well. I did the opposite of you, have a good job and a big house to try to make everyone happy, but on the inside sometimes I feel trapped…and never good enough. In the US, they take pride in the individual, where people place themselves before society, growing up asian, I was raised the opposite. Visiting Japan for the first time last year is where for the first time ever I felt like I belonged and could be myself… Japan made me realize that yes while a good job and money is nice to have, life is better spent making experiences and memories.

    Hi Saiko.
I also went through a period much like the one you're going through right now, at about the same age. My takeaways are that while you can live without a partner, you won't last long without friends. You're right that putting yourself out there opens yourself to hurt, but it's worth it, and very necessary. I befriended a kind person who was much more outgoing than me and that was pretty much how I have a circle of friends in this new city.
My other takeaway is that while consuming media as a hobby is all well and good, that alone is not fulfilling in the long run. I'm 31 now, I wish I had spent much less of my twenties cooped up inside playing videogames, and more time exploring my surroundings and trying new things. It's never too late to start though, I've found a lot of fulfillment playing an instrument and visiting new places.
Best of luck to you on your journey.

You're still young, you will be fine, life is a long road. You will learn through experience and time that many things that maybe aren't good now can become better. It's hard sometimes to see how it things will end, because no one can really know. I'm sure you're parents are proud of you in their own way, it's not easy starting off as a young person now a days. Maybe as you learn more and get more experience, you will be able to smile back one day and think about it and face your parents with a smile as well. Take your time, I felt the same you did when I was your age, it gets better I promise.

I too went through a season of my life where I felt very lonely. Even though I was constantly surrounded by people, it felt like there was no one that truly cared about me. It took a while to realize that God was trying to show himself to me in a way that I had never experienced before. I grew up in a Christian home, so I thought I knew all there was to know about God, but it turns out that there is so much more to him that I thought. He is my best friend, my father, my savior, and my redeemer.
Once I realized this, I began to develop a true relationship with him and he even put other people in my life who I know care about me as an extra blessing. Because of God, I no longer feel lonely like I did before and he can do the same for you if you let him into your life. I hope my testimony is an encouragement to you.♥

a lot of my friends who have gone to college are also struggling to pursue a career at this time (not sure how it is in japan, but it's very hard for young people to start their career these days in the west), so you're not alone. i'm sure things will start looking up

You don't see the confidence you have. It takes bravery to expose your inner self to strangers. As I type this, 5,200 have seen this. I certainly could not do it. I'm old and retired in the USA. It's been a long time since I was your age. It is still a shock when all of a sudden you are told "It's up to you. You have to figure it all out now. On your own". I know in Japan with the stagnant or declining population that everyone wants to live in the cities. If you are a "Loner" does your current location matter? Can your skills be done in a smaller city for someone else. Many times small cities are cheaper to live in. Your money may be able to be stretched further. While there is a saying "Money does not buy happiness", money does make many things easier.

It's not easy. I'm also 24. I've been struggling a lot with my passions, my dreams, my college life as well. I constantly worry that I'm disappointing my parents and not doing enough in my classes to make up for how much they've sacrificed to get me here. I know how it feels to wake up and feel lonely, confused and disappointing. But everyone in my life has always told me to keep moving forward. It's not easy but we can get through this rough patch and make something of ourselves. Take it one day at a time, one step at a time. I believe in you!!!

Just my boyfriend and I are living in a new country for the first time. I wonder if the job I am doing here it is worth it too. This video is very honest & real. Let's keep doing our best. This was difficult to watch. It seems we've led similar lives, though I'm now 40. If it helps, I didn't really find my career until my early 30's, but now that I have, it's easy to work hard and progress because I got so used to motivating myself in jobs I didn't like - Working a job I DO like is easy! :)
I still don't really have any friends etc, but did find romance a few years ago even though I wasn't looking.
Just relax and enjoy yourself while you're young. It's a necessary part of life that means you find out what you like or don't like. When you do things you like, you'll meet people who like the same things, and you'll find career opportunities in that field.
It will happen when it happens - You are not late or early. Be yourself, do your best, and the right people will find you!

I enjoyed your video. I don't think you give yourself enough credit as being introspective as you are puts you in a good situation to know how to improve yourself. Life is always going to have ups and downs, personally I've had money and I've been broke and one thing I always regret is not appreciating the moment because there are different types of stress regardless of status and financial situation. For example, if I have more I feel like I have more to lose and less freedom to do what I really want to do. Maintenance of wealth is stressful and it's hard to enjoy it sometimes because you need to do certain things in order to keep it. Having less gives you the more to look forward to and freedom to make different decisions. It's all about how you look at it. I wish you well.

Hi Saiko, I can relate a lot to you, how you are unhappy with your job and also feel so alone. I have been very alone a large portion of my life due to the fear that I could not be good enough and scare people away because I am too different. Obviously, I do not believe that as much, but I still often sit alone crying and wishing for a friend. On top of that I work in a field that I was told I would be good at because of what people thought I was like. While I have a lovely working environment, I want to leave as soon as possible and find a job that teaches me more skills like you want. I hope you continue to make videos that show your true feelings. I am certain you will be able to make a lot of new friends through youtube!
