Coming from jawa 42 and continental 650 owner this engine is very unrefined (hang on hear me out as perak is 2.30L onroad) This has good power but if you want something radical buy a interceptor 650 or continental gt 650 or wait for upcoming cruiser 650 or classic 650. RE 650 ENGINE IS JUST TOO GOOD TO IGNORE AND I WAS A DIE HARD HATERS OF RE BEFORE 650 TWINS. YES THEY ARE ONE LAKH DEARER BUT IF SOMEONE IS GOING FOR PERAK HE/SHE IS A SUFFICIENTLY HEALTHY POCKET VISE.
@@jodd9505 go for apache 200 most. It is most Vfm( value for money) bike , it gets slipper clutch, riding modes , gtt, comfortable posture , it is bonkers at 1.5 lakh price. But it misses out 6th gear but that is not a deal breaker as you mentioned you are a college student and your most of ride is going to be in city.
The only reason why i choose meteor over jawa perak is because of that single seat,i test rode perak it has very capable engine, it looks cool and comfortable as well but it's just not practical at all in day to day life ride..
Agreed you need another bike or Scooter ..... ... i chose this bike for Solo Ride , yes i bought Tank Bag so i can ride ON Road rides for 2 or 3 days.... Happy with my decision...

There is a consumer base that want motorcycles to look classic. Throw in Honda quality. Enfield rust buckets depreciate fast.

The Uber part was so predictable even before the bike launched in the market bit still its manageable.For me the sound is what matters more. Hope Mahindra works on this in the future

@@sathyaki in Mumbai prerak cost you around at 2 lakh 49 thousand on road and bro you can't get a new interceptor in this much I meant that you can get it for around 2 lakhs in used market but do check the service history and new one costs around 3 lakh 42 on road in Mumbai they're are plenty in used market too 😁 and an used interceptor is way more fun than a new prerak customisation is also easy

you can add Anti Puncture KIT.... Also you can buy Jack for PERAK ... its available in market... show me any bobber in word with Center Stand... also lots of bikes are without center stands...

I fail to understand why someone like Mr Anand Mahindra made such a bad investment. They just tried to cash in on the yezdi nostalgia but quality wise are not even 20% of what the old yezdi bikes were. They were cheating the owners from the very first day by selling the bikes with a tuned up Mojo engine 😠 and stating that it's a new engine
Mere friend ke pass bahi hai ise bike, I also at some point decided to buy perak, but ek din during a short ride uski bike puncture ho ge aur, bhaisaab kise se puncture nahi laga, fir ek pickup kiya, bike ko company main le ge fir unho ne midguard khola, aur fir tyre fix kiya. Fir maine bullet le. Baat khatam.

When i reach to 60 in RE , my brother is on 100 speed... , My RE starts vibrate around 75+ , so far my brother and i rode PERAK till 105 speed , no vibration... YES still love my RE its Exaust play the game.,,, but seems common bike on Road.. PERAK is eye catching...

No center stand, and the rear tyre is prone to punctures- so if you want to own this bike, make sure you have your house next to a jawa service center
