    Fr Hopko did so much to expand Church teachings to a wider audience here in North America. May his memory be eternal!

    I'm ashamed that my state Minnesota is a holdout for this barbarism. I can only hope that the situation will change.

    Just an idea: could you do a video on prophet Jonah and what the Church Fathers have said about him? It's surprisingly difficult to find any Eastern Orthodox sources that talk about him. It could also be interesting if you could do similar video about St Thomas the Apostle.

    father I crave to know how the greeks and most importantly why they became christian? How could their advanced philosophy/rationality not withstand christendom. Please please make a video about this

    • @a2zz-gk197

      Because the Christians used their Philosophy to convert them

    • @diananoonen2262

      That would be a very thoughtful challenge!
      Let's just say the Greeks were always smart! 😊

    • @qazyman

      You know. We overlook what an incredibly brutal culture the Greeks and Romans had. Especially when it came to their Gods. It's not hard to see how people would want a loving and forgiving God that accepted everyone.

    • @ntsopoul

      @@qazyman I agree but I also think that you needed to convince them with rational arguments. Paul tried it on the Areopagus in Athens, without much success. As I understand he was more successful convincing the Jews living in the roman empire. So Christianity was carried forth by hellenized Jews that became Christians at some point.

    • @cl6374

      @@qazymanYou are right. But remember, it's gods, not 'Gods', for there is one God, the God of gods. These 'gods' are in fact demons as revealed in the Scriptures.

    Gun control simply aims to limit access; it doesn’t ban it. Likewise, drinking age limits access to booze to young people. I’ve traveled to lots of countries and I never once thought, wow, nice place, but it would be much better if everyone was packing heat. I find your take on it a bit simplistic and political. What happened to beating swords into plough shares? I don’t think Christ would discourage people from having guns. Do you?

      I can, with complete sorrow when I say this, confirm that they are indeed crack pipes. San Francisco is in an /extremely/ bad state at the current point and needs a lot of help.
