Our Newest Lecture Series:
The Original Church: Lectures on the Acts of the Apostles by Father Josiah Trenham.
The Acts was written by the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke, as the 2nd part of his great literary masterpiece setting forth the Life of Jesus Christ in his Gospel, and then in the Acts showing forth the new Christian life made possible by the Lord’s great and saving deeds and the descent of the Holy Spirit. Here in these sacred pages we discover what St. Paul calls “new creation in Christ.”
Here we discover what is the birth-right of Christians - that is the continuous miracle of church life. Lecture titles are as follows:
Lecture #1 The Meaning of the Acts
Lecture #2 Pentecost
Lecture #3 Spiritual Life
Lecture #4 Fellowship
Lecture #5 Martyrdom
Lecture #6 Conversion
Lecture #7 Defending the Faith: The Jerusalem Council
Lecture #8 The Missionary Journeys of St. Paul

If anyone listening thinks, oh i know so and so better take this brilliant message to heart…. No… we must go look in the mirror! What does this say to each one of us… we all have things to repent and detach from!
Amen. There have been many times that I have stood before my icons to pray for someone else, only to realize that I am really needing to pray these words for myself. Lord have mercy on me.
I always assumed that the “brood of vipers” John The Baptist was referring to were the Pharisees and teachers of the law, but he was calling his own people out to be humble and to repent *mindblown*
Never heard these passages broken down so well, thank you Father Josiah, you’re a real one
God is just oh so wonderful
Pride is the sickness of Christendom. This is just as true of Christianity as Judaism. Bow before the Father. Cry tears of repentance. Thank you for this message.
I needed this. Glory to God.
It's confidence in Spirit we are certain. In ourselves, we will always falter. Love you in the name of Christ Jesus our Lord. Peace and blessings be upon you. Love, grace, hope, and mercy abound.
Loved that part at the end
A very meaningful message. And a powerful reminder of how to humble oneself and love Christ above all else. Thank you Father, bless.
We are not alone, God is with us ☦🙏💪❤

Thank you, Father, for this timely teaching! We ought to be minding our own thoughts and behaviors.
I have to laugh at the gong at the end. I used to watch The Gong Show growing up, and caught the reference. LOL
Thanks you Father! This advice is particularly practical and immediately applicable to a person in the world.

I need to standby a gong around my neck as a daily reminder 😂
St. Therese of Lisieux had the precognitive trust & confidence for sainthood!

I need a gong at my desk
Amen The Most Honourable Promise unto us from His Majesty and Prince of Peace . An aggressive mind is the most arrogant (stone heart) beware of ACTS book New Testament is a spiritual gun / weapon, dangerous.

I pray Jimmy Dore finds Father Josiah.
totally makes sense that all Jews who rejected Jesus in His time were just like Pharisees
John's baptism was the baptism of repentance to prepare them to believe in the one who came after him.. We must reveive the Holy Spirit which comes when we are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.
Spiritual pride also applies to churches who think they have it all and refuse to pray with their brothers in Christ. As Paul says it was not Appolos or Cephas or Paul who died for us but Christ Jesus.
@@pgaLyfestyle I think this incorrect presupposition applies to the Orthodox church whoch has no apostolic succession to Peter. This is spiritual pride to believe the orthodox church alone has been obedient.
@@pgaLyfestyle Peter established the churches of Rome and Antioch. But the church of Rome had primacy over all other churches.
@@pgaLyfestyleYou affirm that you know more than the Fathers rejecting premillennialism.
The disciples of John preached this.
Your phone is a shiny stone.
Thank you father
