Thanks for the reminder that life with tiny kids is a very different season than when they start to get a little older. I sometimes get discouraged by cleaning content because I start feeling like "how does she have all the energy for this? I'm so exhausted all the time." And then I look at my toddler running around and my growing baby belly and feel better about the fact that I'm just deep in that season right now. It'll get easier.
Idk if you'll see this but Jamie, you have me tearing up because I have for over 4 years wanted to do a cleaning motivation channel and still to this day have not. I'm soooo nervous to start and don't really know how to. And your story... literally me! I have brought it up to my husband some years back because he sees me watching them on the TV all the time and he said he wouldn't mind if I did ( he is very much like your hubby... to himself and quiet... so am I tbh) and a year later I still haven't. I literally told him the same thing you did ... that I thought he would shoot it down. So when you were telling your story I just teared up.. because I want to start it so badly. My back always hurts after traveling in a car. My husband and I usually go to see our chiropractor before and after a travel vacation. We are in our 60's and 70's, so it is a necessary part of vacation planning.😊
Yes, we are about the same age as you guys and a chiropractor trip before and after helps with our backs too.

Oh man Jamie just watching your video today. Usually watch you Sunday night but my grown son picked up his minpin, lost him at the park, we were all searching in the dark. I came home and posted everywhere. Son forgets where he left his car.😳Long story but the pup was found 24 hours later by a neighborhood couple. This happened 5 years ago but then he was missing two weeks and we hired tracking dogs that found him in five hours. Car was found after 3 days with help of police. Everything is fine now praise the Lord but the dog and son are grounded for life. 😃 So it was a relief to calm down and watch you clean, I need to clean as I’ve been in such a tizzy. Thank you Jamie, glad you had a good vacation.

@@JamiesJourney we have! He’s doing good though! Finally started outpatient PT last wk! Hoping as that goes on - he’ll gain more strength! I think we’re both just mentally tired! If that makes sense! Like missing what we used to be able to do! He’s used to being able to work 7 days a wk! And obviously now can’t! I miss family vacas and being able to leave the house w no Walker / wheelchair! It’s been exhausting & I think in a way I’m mourning that “old life!” That I hope we can get back soon! Thanks for listening 🥹😘

We live in Ohio as well. We go to Myrtle Beach SC every year. Been doing that for years. We are retired and still do it. We like going there because we know the area so well. It's like our second home. Great video today!
Jamie, so glad you had a wonderful vacation, well deserved, so glad you were able to get to a beach! it is so relaxing and stress free. You mentioned having a few days to reset when you get back. With Mike starting a new job depending upon the amount of vacation time, a holiday week is great so he could get another day off the following Monday, just a thought. I used to do that when I left on a Saturday morning, but Friday gives you 3 days to recoup! You are so right the ages of the girls is great, just having kids out of diapers is a blessing when traveling. Another thought is to try to stop somewhere in between as the girls get older for a break in the driving, perhaps when you can take 2 weeks that might help with the long trip. Love the recipes! And those muffin cups, have to purchase them, also loving the drink bottles, need those as well! Thanks for sharing! Take care!

Jamie, I loved your comment about how you love Ohio but you love hot weather. I was born and raised in Georgia and lived most of my adult life in Florida and Texas. I couldn’t wait to get out! I finally had my chance about eight years ago and ended up in South Dakota. I was born for cold-weather! I feel so much happier mentally, and physically when it’s cold outside and especially snow. I love living in the Midwest.

Recommend getting a vacation rental with washer and dryer. It's a game changer!! My husband especially loves being able to wash clothes while on vacation. So much less to pack and less stress once home!

Bring a mom, you need a vacation after your vacation. You pack everything, you still cook while away and when you get home it’s time to do all the laundry, food shop, etc. A mom vacation is a trip with girlfriends!

Just wanted to let you know that I used your laundry stain remover combination for the first time today and it worked AMAZING! My younger son got elbowed in his nose at basketball and he had blood all over one of my favorite shirts. After using the hydrogen peroxide, Dawn and baking soda it all came out! I am calling it H2DB so I can remember it’s 2 tablespoons Hydrogen peroxide and 1 tablespoon each of the Dawn and baking soda. Definitely a game changer! I am going to try it on other stains too.

Jamie! I get it. Our youngest turned 4 a few days ago. It so different we feel like we can eat out, go places and have so much fun with our kids. They are joking with us and are such little people. I love babies so much but the freedoms of walking to another room or anything is great. I will always enjoy the memories of when they were babies but just enjoy this time with them! ❤

We drive 3.5-4 hours north to visit the family about 5 times a year. Each kid packs their own activity bag , we keep their headphones and tablets on hand. They spend a lot of time looking out the window too. Haha. They might get tablets towards the end of the ride home but they’re just useful for downtime at their grandparents’. 😅. Audiobooks help too. Have you ever heard of wonderbooks or voxbooks? They’re audioenabled books kids can operate and come with a headphone Jack . Our library has them. They’re awesome for car rides.

I found that by 18-24mo, my twins were so fun. Those first 2 years, though... complete blur. It was more than hard, but from this point forward, it will be a joy. Also, we always said that one of our twins could make a mess out of water. Some kids are just like that 😂 Now a days she is the cleanest one. They change so much. I love how you love every minute ❤

Thankyou for posting, always look forward to watching new videos from you! Currently 8months pregnant, and have no motivation ever. I live in a small full house of people, I'm the only one who really gets into the real effort of cleaning, and don't receive help from the other family members in the house hardly (hint where the no motivation comes in because I'm always feeling my cleaning is useless as the house quickly goes back to being dirty after a whole deep clean of said small full house of people, which is so highly frustrating). Anyways long story short love when a new video comes out from you cause I always look forward to putting TH-cam on and watching one of you amazing videos before or while I'm cleaning, and they truly encourage me to keep going and don't give up on cleaning!!!

I’m so glad y’all had a fun vacation! It was well deserved! Sam’s club has a bounce house that you might want to check out since the kids enjoyed the one at the beach. Manners were very important to us in raising our children too. I’m so thankful that we were because our children are grown but people who we meet that know them or work with them always tell us how nice and respectful they are. It just does a parent good to hear that as an adult they are still using their manners and being respectful to others. You will never regret teaching them manners and being respectful. I make individual pizzas using garlic naan bread for the crust
I always make sure that the washer/ dryer is on the main floor. Cause if u have a water leak, it’ll just mess up the first floor instead of 2 floors. And trust me, redoing floors gets expensive.

Hey Jamie, this is from the CDC about alcohol disinfectants. I thought it might be some useful information for you, since I know you like to use alcohol to clean a lot of different things around your home. So to disinfect your bed, you can just use 70% isopropyl alcohol without water. If it was 99%, then you would need to dilute it. 🥰❤️ I hope you have a wonderful day.

Overview. In the healthcare setting, “alcohol” refers to two water-soluble chemical compounds-ethyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol-that have generally underrated germicidal characteristics 482. FDA has not cleared any liquid chemical sterilant or high-level disinfectant with alcohol as the main active ingredient. These alcohols are rapidly bactericidal rather than bacteriostatic against vegetative forms of bacteria; they also are tuberculocidal, fungicidal, and virucidal but do not destroy bacterial spores. Their cidal activity drops sharply when diluted below 50% concentration, and the optimum bactericidal concentration is 60%-90% solutions in water (volume/volume) 483, 484.

Patience is to be learned. I had 4 children, we were strict, and I began to have more patience the older they got. Times were still tough on occasion. The middle school years were not fun. But, as long as you are consistent, things will get better and better. Remember, children are people. As a person, would you like someone screaming or yelling in your face because you made a mistake or had an accident? Of course not! Treat them with respect, and it will come back to you ten-fold!😊
