Im thinking of changing to fleece so found this video interesting but i have 12 piggies and they make such a mess!!🙄will you be keeping yours outside in this predicted bad weather were supposed to be having if so how would you advise keeping them extra cosy ive not made up my mind yet weather to bring them in or if they will be ok in shed!!!hard choices being a piggy mommy isn't it!!!😁
I am glad! I find fleece much less maintenance then other beddings, especially with the amount of mess piggies make. I think I'm going to bring them inside as the temperatures are going to be crazzzzyyy low! If you do keep them in a shed make sure there are lots of shelters and nest boxes with them the burrow in as sheds can be quite airy and empty so lots of cold air will fall in them. Make sure any draughts are blocked with a blanket or something so the air isn't flowing freely in too. Keep their hay stocked up well and give them lots of high energy food!
Imy'sAnimals thanks for replying and the tips you gave me appreciate it😁 its actually a specially built shed on two separate levels boys level and girly level so its not too high roofed each level is about 2 1/2 feet high windows are glass no mesh and tightly closed i have 3 hides/beds filled with hay and straw and 2 hay racks but they just throw it everywhere!!😂 its just a worry then theres my 6 rabbits and 4 chickens and my 2 shetlands ill be living in the garden while they take over the house!!😂😂😂
Oh My Gosh you have saved my life! My mom doesn't like me putting the fleece in the washing and drying machine so I have to wash it outside which of course never gets fully clean. So this has saved my life I will tell her about it right away, so we can buy it.
It is best to use a non-bio gentle one, with not much perfume/fragrance. A baby detergent is great, otherwise just a simple and gentle non-bio one works!
I would definitely avoid using scented soap for guinea pigs bedding as they are prone to upper respitory problems. Please change to a non-scented soap, or soda crystals. A cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle will keep them soft and fresh.
Hi Imy this week in Ireland is going to be a red weather warning 😬I’m just wondering if for this week should I bring my bunny’s inside because I don’t want them to freeze. I have a little area for them if they are gonna come in but what do you think ? Luv you 💖🐰
Hello! I think that’s a good plan. Although you’d have to bring them in for the whole time until the weather passes. They can’t be in and out and in and out as it messes with their temperature regulation. But yes, if you can, bring them inside for the prolonged period where the weather is looking bad!
If they’re in proper housing and in the right climate, it’s fine! @ladypigford on Instagram keeps her pigs outside in warmer weather and they’re perfectly happy and healthy.

I got one and it turns into a heavy mass that throws off my washer and turns it off. I havent figured out how to wash my piggy stuff in this thing.
Another tip for people who dont want to send any money, just use an old pillow case and tie with a hair band, that’s what I do x

You know if you uses a pillow case how do you make it securely shut so nothing comes out of it like hay and that 😊.

yep before i got the washing bag i had used an old pillow case and tied it up it didnt work aswell but it did save £15 hope this helps❤
