Stefan and I (Joey) decided to get back into Magic. This is an unboxing of 1000+ modern commons/uncommons, and 40 rare cards!

We first started collecting a few cards in 1999, when we were 10! We remember buying the sixth edition booster packs from a book store in a shopping mall near our home.
We learned how to play much later though, but just between us. Maybe we should get into tournaments at gaming stores!

What do people mean when they say "LOT" in magic the gathering, I'm so confused. Does it mean just that I'ts "a lot" of cards or something else entirely? Help :')

Oh, it's just a sell term. In general a "lot" means a bunch or a "group" items for sale. The word doesn't have a specific meaning in MTG.

Is it worth buying cards like this in bulk to start a collection a example is like 6500 cards for 60 dollars

I don't think you'd need 6500 cards. Getting a smaller cheap lot may be better to help you decide what you want in your collection, before obtaining too much bulk.

Thank you! A few common cards had up to 10 duplicates.. I guess I would say that there was a moderate amount of dups.

Oops, I accidentally removed your recent comment. Sorry! But ya if u want a lot of the most recent cards u can buy the lot. If you're looking for individual cards u like, use ABUGames.com. You'll need land cards too.

I think you'll probably just get multiple cards from a recent set or two.. The rares will most likely be kind of "common rares", so to speak. Most of the cards we got from this lot we aren't really using.. But overall it's still your choice.

We weren't expecting expensive cards, we buy those individually. The whole order costed $19, the rares were all $9.
