Yep... Was aware of all that. The problem with it was that it was just too much hard frozen strawberry on the first try with the smoothies... The second try went way better. What I didn't show on there was that once it does jam, it sometimes takes plugging it back in to clear the jam alert as it doesn't like to clear it on its own very much. Overall, it did do a decent job, I was pushing it hard just to show people what it can and can't do and what to expect if they try to use it as a countertop replacement.
Typically, yes. If you're only dealing with a couple of ingredients, it doesn't make that much difference, It's mainly to make sure things don't go unblended. If you're doing a thicker smoothie with frozen fruit, that fruit will most likely not float.. and if that's the case, it won't make a difference... Just depends how thick you like your smoothies.
@@JoesPhenomenalI doubt it matters how many ingredients you put in it or whether or not the fruits will float since they will all blend together anyway. I’ve always had an easier time with the blendjet if the liquid goes in first. Instructions also say to start the cycle with the device upside down first then turn it right side up once the motor has started spinning especially if it keeps getting stuck.
My blendjet may be a different one, but I blend one Ensure nutritional drink with 7 ice cubes, 2 scoops of powdered milk, and 2 tablespoons of instant vanilla coffee, and it blends smoothly without causing any stuckness or taking more than one blend.
@semozaki23 the big strawberries I was using were a problem... Those things freeze rock hard.... I could have use more liquid in there as well to be honest.
I have the Blast and so far I've blended a frozen banana, ice and an ice cream sandwich. The first time when I tried to blend a frozen banana I also had some protein powder in there but it got too thick and wouldn't blend. Ended up blending the banana with just liquid first and then I added the protein powder. Obviously not the most powerful things on the planet, but that's to be expected from a portable device.
Well said... For what it is, it's a cool little blender... Just have to work around some of the issues with those is all. Banana ice cream sandwich eh? Yum
I just got a Blendjet 2 and it does a great job with smoothies! I used the Naked juice recipe for their strawberry/banana smoothie and that thing ripped through it no problem, and I have no doubt it can rip through icy fruits or ice cubes. You just gotta put in the liquid first, as that way the ice would be at the top and when the blades get going, it would spin the ice down to them as they go full speed which would shred it up completely. If you don’t put in the liquid first, the icy stuff wouldn’t float well and stuff would be in contact with the blades which would make them get stuck more
Had a blend jet 2, it's pretty good and portable but just two annoying issues. - The lip area is not for drinking because it has areas liquid can hang around and spill while not feeling like normal glass so perhaps, they need to get rid of the screw shape and putting a 'lip cover' is just an inconvenient add on. - Either make the blend jut container bigger or reduce the size of the lower part because it doesn't hold enough liquid.
Had blend jet and loved the concept but it stopped working after 7 months of use.It started having charging issues just after 4 months.Power was not that great and battery life even worse.Seemed almost impossible to get ingredients completely grinded and was always chunks.Just got a the Ninja in hopes that they would do a better job and I couldn't be happier.Everything that is wrong with the blend jet is not an issue with the Ninja Blast.Absolutely love the Ninja despite a little extra weight and size.

You need to read the instructions. You can't just add frozen fruit. First liquid, then soft fruit or yogurt or greens, then frozen fruit it ice. Then it will blend the first time.

The lid lossens up more you use it so not worrie about it breaking off. Ninja blast works for me blending my powder breakfest drink but it needs improvements. 1 needs a battery meter to show when power is running out before adding stuff and find after pushing button not enough power to run through full cycle. Second it's kind of hard to clean in screw groves, flat lip on bottom pitcher and around white blade base. It should have a brush for cleaning and more rounded edges.
After two failed attempts with the blendjet, I am really interested in trying the ninja to see how it goes! The battery on my blendjet one exploded right in front of me when I pushed the power button. Come to find out they had a recall due to exploding batteries. When I contacted blendjet for my replacement, they told me I wasn’t covered and that they would not be replacing it even though it was a recall specifically for people with exploding batteries on their unit! I ended up biting the bullet and I bought the blendjet 2. I was only able to use it a total of three times before it broke and never worked again. They are giving me so much shit just to have it replaced right now. I’ve just given up because they’re refusing to do anything about it despite the fact that they sold me a defective unit that only worked three times. Honestly, I’m so over blendjet as a company.
