Yeah, it's one of my favorites too. Especially the early ones, it was kind of a secret when they first came out in the 90's they still called it the 900rr, but they had increased it to 919cc.

@@thedragon2299 Mine got written-off a few weeks ago. Just bought another one yesterday - 2006, 6000km, it's like new apart from the keys locks and ignition are a little stubborn and the fuel cap is catching on something making it hard to open - any hints gratefully appreciated.

@@ywiwar7872 I hate to state the obvious, but might be a good idea to change them all, sounds like the key it's self is going bad, it sounds like all the locking pins aren't getting pushed in all the way, usually from a worn or damaged key. One thing I do know is it will only get worse the more you use it. Before you replace them, try squirting wd-40 where you put your key in, and see if it fixes it, if not get new ones before it leaves you sitting somewhere. Hope this helps, let me know how it goes. The only thing that ever goes wrong with these, and most Honda's is the rectifier/regulator. As a matter of fact the one on this bike went out last week and we are waiting for a new one to come in now. Other than that, they are pretty much bullet proof.

@@thedragon2299 That's what I thought... Shame you're on the other side of the planet lol. There are some downfalls to rarely-used motorcycles also I guess. Thanks

@@ywiwar7872 I say this at least once a week, 90% of the work I do is on bikes that have been sitting for a period of time, doesn't matter if it's vintage or new, they don't like sitting. But you will get the bugs worked out and have a great bike that potentially last you a life time, I mean hey, it is a Honda, no worries!

I took of sissy bars, got side mount mirrors and got a tail riser on mine

Sounds real nice, this bike is my customer's bike. He bought it from his cousin failed to tell him he lost the keys, and the voltage regulator was bad.

@@thedragon2299 what did you do about the key? I just recently accidentally threw away my only set

@@nicholaswtate This was my customers bike, I replaced all the locks and ignition with matching key. Check out the other videos part 1 and 2.
