    I have been watching repair channels on TH-cam for more 3 years and I can tell this is best pad strip replacement technique I've ever seen. Wonderfully done. Amazing technique right there sir.

    Superb and please do not let them tell you they invented that flattened jumper wire technique. As far as I am aware you are the first one I have seen doing this unless I am wrong.. May be"ToltecMerc flattened jumper wire trace repair technique"

    The flatten wire technique! Don't get the opportunity to use that too often on these size jobs, turned out nice!

    Hello Master
    I can say this is the best HDMI connector repair, as always
    If you send it to the best repair shops, they don't work on it or charge you a lot
    You can use a UV lamp because it covers a larger area but is weaker than a laser
    GOD bless you

    • @ToltecMerc
      @ToltecMerc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would not be worth the time of a shop but I enjoy bringing things back to life. Thank you!

    great method. most robust and cleaner that i have ever seen.
    in fact i tried it today and making rapair pad from wire is good idea (such pad is both strong and flexible)
    but i have a problem with using solder mask as a glue to attach this pad to board. most of the time solder mask is not able to cure under the pad no mater how long i use uv lamp and heat (the fact is that my uv lamp i rather weak - 5V usb but i dont have a problem to cure solder mask with this and little heat in normal condition - meaning on the pad not under)
    i ended up soldering those wire pads to the exposed track on one side and little solder mask on other - doing that im sure that wire pad is secured properly

    1- where can i buy the replacements pads you are using?
    2-what sort of glue you are using? where can I buy them from?
    what is you use to dry them up? infra red? where can I buy them from?
    any advise will be greatly appreciated.

      Those pads are simply 0.1mm copper wire that has been flattened with pliers. The green glue is UV curable solder mask. I'm using an ultraviolet light to harden the glue. It is all available from AliExpress or NorthridgeFix.

    This level of detail is lost when this type of repair is done as a main source of income, as opposed to a hobby. I can see the level of pride taken in the repair. Great job!
    Did you flatten the copper magnet wire with a hammer? 😀 I was literally about to buy some pad strips.. Nope! Never again.

    • @ToltecMerc
      @ToltecMerc  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I should have shown how I do it. I have a pair of needle nose pliers that has a flat area right behind where the wire cutting area is. Between the wire cutter and the pivot point is an area where the upper and lower jaws are flat and they meet extremely closely. I place the 0.1mm bare wire in there and squeeze. Thanks for watching and commenting!
