One thing I’ve learned as a diesel mechanic, you could buy 5 brand new kenworth’s of the same year, make and model, and they would all have small differences. It’s like they just toss together what they have and call it a day. Five trucks is five trucks. Lol.
Yes same here. We have two Kenworth T680’s. One is located where you are indicating under the hood and on the other truck it’s located near the catwalk area on the back.
I have a battery box cover and lost the dang thing...probably flew off somewhere and did who knows what. Cost me like $500 for a replacement...for a frickin battery box cover ...sheesh
@Delgado Trucking they werent...thinking. I think I remember some dodge vehicles placing the batteries behind the wheel to where you had to take off the tire to change the battery...all to make you go into the dealership to have work done instead of doing it yourself.
I'd be very surprised if you didn't have two little metal posts sticking off the side of your frame, they're called jump posts, and they're directly wired in to your batteries so that you don't have to do all that.
That is correct. On the drivers side. On the frame, just below the power steering pump reservoir. you will see two caps. one red, one black. pull those off, and you will see two post like on a battery. jump it from there, and you will not have to take the steps off. have to open the hood, and you will see them driver's side.
You didn't pay attention under the hood driver's side the jump start post is on the frame with one red cover and a black cover that's where you jump start the 15 kenworth T-680
You know, I found a kw at work last night that didn't have any either. For anyone who doesn't have jump posts or a battery door on their kw, keep an 11/16 socket on you.

What!!! That sucks my 2018! T680 has battery terminal hook ups under the hood by the oil dip stick for jumping off
