@@milliondollarbaby1911 I know this is mad late but the answer is, it took some searching but I found a junkyard states away that had a website and showed what parts were for sale, they had my part in the color already. Never paint car parts by hand, that’s done by computers now. You’ll never, ever, match it.

@@jerwind7393 Worked great for me today. I replaced it with a Wolo upgraded horn kit from College Hills Honda that they provided a factory harness with. Be careful if you have the 1.5T though, the increased horn size doesn't allow for a proper 100% downward facing for the horn because of the intercooler piping. I had to bend the bracket slightly so it'd clear the piping.

Welcome to the trades. Pay attention to what your journeyman is doing when you ask. A lot of times there’s no explaining there’s just doing and that’s part of the job, any job really.

Awesome video thanks. That silver part of the bumper above the headlights is part of the bumper obviously, but can it be removed from the bumper and replaced? How much are they? Haven’t been able to find that part alone by itself online, not trying to buy a whole new bumper.

Unfortunately the front bumper must be taken off in order to remove the grille.

So from 2:29 to 2:48... those are multiple clips holding that part of the bumper in place?

Any reason why my eye lids don’t pop off that easy? I pressed down on both openings at the top, and they do pop off. But it seems like there’s something else holding it to the rest of the grill. On the inner portion of it.

There isn't really any aftermarket bumpers out yet for the Civic X. You can buy a brand new bumper at your local Honda Dealership or you can find used ones on ebay.
We remove the damage fender but the new fender do not have the brace and we do not know how uninstall the brace from the old fence to install it ,in the new one . Can you tell us ?

is that necessary to drain the coolant and replace the drain plug with the heater?
If all you have to do is drain the coolant and replace the plug I don't see any reason why you would have to remove the bumper.
Do all Honda Civic of this generation (2017) use screws to attach the license plate frame to the bumper or do they use double sided tape

Do you need those electric tools to take out some of the bolts bc they are to hard to take it off by hand?
I would say no. I had to take two off on mine the other month and they come out fine by hand/with a ratchet. I do, however, default to using a power or air tool as I am lazy and own a lot of tools.
Can you remove just the chrome trim by itself? I wanted to swap it with a blackout one
Unfortunately, you have to remove the bumper to take the chrome off. There are hidden screws that are not accessible when the bumper is left on the car.
Depress the brittle plastic clip while pulling out on the brittle plastic molding. :)
I need to replace a broken fog light lens(2017 ex-t coupe). After you removed the bumper does it give you access to the fog light housing? Dealer said it would be 2-3 hour job. Please tell me it is this simple. Thanks
Once the bumper is off the hardest part is done. You will have easy access to the fog lights.

Are all those clips reusable and needing to go back into the same spots?
All clips are reusable and you must put the same type of clip back in each hole. Just be careful to not break the clips when taking them out. A clip tool works great.

You should be able to as long as its the same generation civic you should be fine in this case 2016 to current year is 10th gen

Hi, when you pull the bumper forward and off what was holding it? Clips? And do they just snap back in?
The last thing that is holding the bumper on is a plastic bracket under the headlights called a "stiffener". It clips into little slots that are cut into the bumper. To put the Bumper back on just line the bumper up and give it a smack with your palm. If its lined up correctly it will click right back in place.
DIYHonda if either the stiffener or the slots that it clips into are bent is there an easy way to fix that? My bumper won't snap back in place on the driver's side and it looks as if the plastic is bent. The dealer said it's because my bumper must have hit a dip in the road or something and bent the bumper. And they said the only way to fix it is to get an entirely new bumper....
the dealership bent mine, they can't do anything properly, i had to open up the entire bumper to bend it in place as best as i can and put i back. The only solution is to buy a new bumper and fit it yourself. Now there's a stupid gap between the headlight and bumper which keeps bothering me

No sir, pro tip turn the wheels to the left when working on the passenger side to take the screws out of the wheel well, and turn the wheels to the right to work on the driver side!

I bought my Honda off the lot April 10th. And I already damaged the front number cover on the side by the right tire. FML
angel mendoza ive had mine for almost 2 years, I replaced the driver door and now have to replace the fender as well, I feel you dude. Fml too.
Ive had mine for about 1 year now and the front bumper is messed up damaged badly also the quarter panel FML.
How much will a replacement bumper and fender cost?
For a painted bumper and fender your probably looking around $600-$800. Check my description for this video and my fender removal video. I have links for painted body parts mailed to you.
do you need a jack or can you do this without one?
Having been under mine a few times, I would recommend it but it is not an absolute necessity. The best option, in my opinion, would be a set of ramps so that you have the whole front of the car at a better working height. Then, if you have fogs or radar, set a short table or something equivalent in front of the car so that the bumper can be rested there while you disconnect the wires.
Just take note that if you use ramps with the GenX Civics, the standard angle ramps are too steep. You will either need to make adapters out of wood or just use some 2x6 boards in advance of the ramps to let the car come up a little before actually getting the wheels onto the ramps. I made a set of adapters for mine that drop bolts through the holes in the ramps to keep them in place. (My ramps are steel and look like these: media.liveauctiongroup.net/i/33298/28637660_2.jpg?v=8D5378B7C4E20B0 )
If you don't have ramps and are looking to buy some, just be sure to get ones with a low drive up angle. I don't know what the drive up angle is for our cars but I do know it is quite low for a non-supercar.
Jason Price I made the modification without a jack or elevating the car. Probably took twice as long. Managed to get all the clips out, but broke the last one so my bumper was still technically attached. Changed the grill with it halfway on. It sucked. But it worked! Thanks for all the pro tips.

No reason, thats just how I do it. You can remove the clips in any order you would like.

Those clips that you have to use the clip tool on are junk!! I did same thing as you and 3 broke soon as I jimmied it out
