Out of all of these, none of them caught my attention when I was a kid, the one that scared me the most now was when Flower the Skunk got air quote "hard as a bord."
When will you cover all the innuendos for the kid's TV series Spongebob. If you thought Disney was bad, you should take a gander at that series, movies included. I mean, the sponge that lives in a pineapple in bikini bottom?
Genie's line about the earth not shaking until the honeymoon always confused me, and my older cousin got a great giggle out of it. Rest in peace, Robin Williams, you'll be forever missed. ✌🏾
I was 12 when King of Thieves came out and when Genie said that my face was 😮 because I was surprised there was such a straightforward joke in a Disney movie in '96. Then the eyebrow waggle at the end and I was dead. 😂
How could a joke ruin my childhood ? If I got the joke back then I laughed, if I'm only getting it as an adult, it only enhances my experience with the movie.
This is one of those ones that you have to be familiar with certain things to get, but my favorite "adult" joke in a kid's movie is still the Oedipus reference in Hercules.
It was easy to get adult humor under the radar in the 80s and 90s. As for disney doing it, they need to make the movies appealing to adults as well, who are forced to rewatch a mind numbing childrens movie over and over.
That's why Pixar > Disney Though to be fair, Disney is getting a little bolder with the grown-up jokes. The one about rabbits multiplying in Zootopia was a great example
There’s also this joke from The Cat In The Hat: “There was this cat I knew, back home where I was bred, he never listened to a single thing his mother said, he never used a litter box, he made a mess in the halls, that’s why they sent him to a vet who cut off both his…boo…boo…boo…BOY” yeah a joke about neutering in a kids movie😂
1:06 I almost understood what he meant and laughed (meant that she loves her boss more than her husband) 3:07 I was in high school so 100% get the massage 5:51 her hip movement hit something in every male middle schooler
The Road to El Dorado may have had some sexy scenes in it, but at least it was trying to show that 2D animation is not just for kids, but for teens and adults too.
Now I know what my problem is when it comes to jokes these days. They’re no longer for families but decide to focus on kids. That’s why they’ve been flopping lately.
If Mia and Tia from Cars are flashing Lightning with their high beams, doesn't that mean that every other car (for instance, Sally, Flo, Holley) simply has theirs out for everyone to see?
One that I totally remember never understanding as a kid but understanding now as an adult but hardly ever gets mentioned is a certain joke is in the 1951 Alice in Wonderland. When Alice ate a mushroom that made her so huge and she ended up disturbing a bird’s nest, the bird called her “servant” but she rebuked back saying she’s a little girl “I mean I was.” And the bird then says “I don’t suppose you lay eggs either?” Alice goes “Actually, yes I do.” Kids don’t understand what that means but adults who understand female anatomy sure do. Nice hidden joke there. Guess Alice was given “the talk” at a very young age
Actually, the bird shouted "serpent", which brings its own connotation to the scene; but the point of the mushrooms is a direct hint the story is from a mushroom-induced trip experienced by the author, Lewis Carroll. Jefferson Airplane later commented on the "trip" connection in the song "White Rabbit"... "One pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small... and, the pills your mother gives you don't do anything at all... go ask Alice, when she's 10 feet tall..." KDM
@@kenmclemore523oh is that what it was? “Serpent?” It’s been so long since I’ve seen that movie. Plus due to the way the bird said it, it sound like she said “servant” instead of “serpent.” That’s one reason why I like having subtitles/captions on. That and because turning up the volume isn’t always an option when you’re bedroom is next to your extremely vocal autistic brother. Plus, I’ve never read the Alice in Wonderland books as a kid, I only saw the original Disney movie constantly as a kid, the 1999 TV movie constantly as a teen since there was a border terrier dog in the movie and we had just gotten a border terrier as a pet at that time (a few days ago we lost our second border terrier dog Bindi at nearly 14 years old) and I only saw the 2010 & 2016 Tim Burton Disney remakes once. But I have NEVER read the books
@@Lady-Kanerasoka Hey, no problem; just thought I'd give you a bit of context... thanks for the reply. And goodness gracious, find yourself a quiet space... KDM
When that fact about rabbits having a lot of kids at around 1:30 reminded me of Nick Cannon. Also these hidden jokes are funny. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more of these hidden jokes in rated G/PG movies though.
5:49 Boy do I hate when anybody brings this up. To many people and their perverted thoughts made this scene seem inappropriate and that is probably why you have fewer and fewer movies batting around the idea of showing kissing scenes.
On frame stop, she's not looking at his crotch in Ratatouille. She's looking at his eyes, then his gestured hand, then back up to his eyes. She'd have to be looking much further down to be looking between his legs, given their proximity.
What? You're talking about the Live Action 101 Dalmations? Instead of the original cartoon, where at the end, when Pongo and Perdi get back with all the puppies and the count them and Roger exclaims, "101 puppies??! Pongo, You RASCAL!!!"
Excuse me? When the Grinch arrives … I mean … don‘t you remember what kind of party there was going on? 😅 the Grinches Moms did a swinger party! You can see a bowl filled with keys in the window. Everybody threw their keys into it and later they picked one. And then they … partied … with the owner of the key. Is that appropriate for a kids movie? 😅
The live action 101 Dalmatians with Glenn Close was the only one I’ve ever seen as a kid. I’ve seen bits of pieces of the animated original, but never in its entirety. Thanks to me watching films constantly as a kid, I can recite MOST movie lines word-for-word and that helped me understand many of the hidden adult jokes as I got older. But due to my ADHD and Asperger’s, I often have a hard time understanding sarcasm, so when Cruella made that joke about Roger being a “busy boy,” I thought it was because he was busy keeping up with his video game designing career while trying to get his house ready for both the new baby and the new puppies. Wasn’t until I saw this video that I truly understand what she really meant. It STILL amazes me how they can allow these kinds of jokes in kids movies!!!
One that you missed from toy story 3 is when barbie and ken meet and he compliments her leg warmers and she replies with "nice ascot". We all knew it was a play on words for "nice ass"
That’s stock audio for you. I used to like Phoebe despite her vocal fry, but that’s now my main problem with her. So why do I still watch the videos she narrates? I don’t like Andrew, so I don’t watch his VO videos.
uvula Listen to pronunciation (YOO-vyoo-luh) The soft flap of tissue that hangs down at the back of the mouth (at the edge of the soft palate). Also called palatine uvula. 😂😂😂 Both men & women have uvula. It's not only female anatomy. @9:55... Ehh... There is nothing sexually specific about a Uvula... That's the hangy bit at the back of our throats... Him getting it confused with the VULVA; I see what they did, and get the joke... The two items are quite different and only one is possessed by females. (I do this only because WatchMojo did not add clarity).
The Hocus Pocus “joke” is horrific. Not sure how it was so low on the list. It actually makes me nauseous to think about that one. And it should have been taken WAY more seriously.
8-10 year olds are not as innocent as people like to think they are. me and my freinds weren't innocent and we didn't even have the internet in our community back then. (mid 90's)

"will RUIN Your Childhood"
That depends on your whole childhood. Movies weren't the only thing
I can't believe that "Hocus Pocus" got away with all the virgin shaming. But then again, it's likely it went right over their heads.
I didn't understand the children one until I was older
Not ruined...Improved
That scene from road to Eldorado was frigging crazy! We all knew what she was doing lol

The Adult Joke from Ice Age should’ve been from the second film, when Manny told Ellie, “It’s our Responsibility.”.
I believe that’s part of the reason why Ice age 2 was rated PG
1:06 I almost understood what he meant and laughed (meant that she loves her boss more than her husband)
3:07 I was in high school so 100% get the massage

I don’t see anything involving those hidden jokes as I grew up in animation movies. But I finally understood.
The Road to El Dorado may have had some sexy scenes in it, but at least it was trying to show that 2D animation is not just for kids, but for teens and adults too.
I remember “Kiss my artichoke” from Wallace and Gromit The Curse of the Were Rabbit.
And the "and just look at my wife's brassicas!' one
Now I know what my problem is when it comes to jokes these days. They’re no longer for families but decide to focus on kids. That’s why they’ve been flopping lately.
Well, that and all the woke shit they're shoving into it.
I watched Road To El Dorado when I was 5 in the theater with my dad. I remember being little confused but my dad explained it... sort of😁
I had to find out for myself 😂😂😂
Wait Road to El Dorado is for kids? Seriously a huge portion of the film's jokes would go over a majority of kids' heads.
There should be a top 10 adult jokes in Lego Ninjago
The first one I realized was what was going on behind the couch in "the road to el dorado"
Jokes like these are harmless. Plus it’ll be hilarious for the kids to realize these things as grown ups 😂
I still believe the main people remember El Dorado is because of Chel is a waifu
now these days writers dont understand subtlety and just shove it in kids faces
I thought it was a mannequin in the window in the Rescuers, until they said otherwise. 🤷♀️ And I was an adult already.
None of these ruined my childhood! Sorry to disappoint you, WatchMojo haha. Funny though! 😆😆😆
same!
The zootopia one I thought meant math multiplication
When I saw Zootopia in theater I thought it was about bunny, but I wasn't sure
Rabbits are nice in stew 😂
9:20 that's not Emily. That's Danni.
What about Chaz’s hallucinogenic Jazz music in Trolls:World Tour or Gobber’s remark about why he never married from How to Train Your Dragon 2?
The joke in Bambi always had me giggling. 😂
It’s funny how these go completely over our heads until we rewatch these films as adults
