Snus causes less cancer but you can contantly have it under your lip thruout the entire day, causing an even more intense nicotine addiction. The statement that Sweden's low smoking rates are due to restrictions implemented in the 90s is not entirely accurate. While it's true that Sweden implemented comprehensive tobacco control regulations in the 1990s, including the Swedish Tobacco Act in 1993 that banned smoking in public transport and public indoor places[4], the decline in smoking rates in Sweden began even before these regulations were put in place[4][7]. Moreover, the low smoking rates in Sweden are not solely due to these restrictions. The use of snus, a smokeless tobacco product, is prevalent in Sweden and is thought to have contributed to the low rates of cigarette smoking[1][9]. Snus has been legally sold in Sweden since 1976 and is used as an alternative to cigarettes[10]. Furthermore, the decline in smoking rates in Sweden has been a continuous trend over time, rather than a sudden drop following the implementation of restrictions[1]. Therefore, it's more accurate to say that the low smoking rates in Sweden are due to a combination of factors, including tobacco control regulations, the prevalence of snus use, and broader societal trends. Yeah, it’s bad enough when people feel the need to tell others who are addicted to dangerous substances things that they obviously already know, but the amount of people who fear monger about using snus, vapes, etc. as a harm reduction alternative to smoking is a whole other level of ignorance imo. It’s like if you went to the local needle exchange to tell all the opioid addicts “y’know that stuff can kill you, right?”, like, would you rather they die from untreated needle-borne diseases like hep-c or overdosing because they didn’t have any Narcan, instead of taking steps that might help them live long enough to actually get treatment? It’s like they’d rather have the smug satisfaction of being “correct”, instead of just letting people use incremental, common sense approaches that will most likely benefit them in the long run.
False. Snus used to have labels on the cans that said that it may cause cancer, but it had to be removed because there's no proof of that claim. Now the warning label says that snus includes nicotine and is highly addictive, which is true.

Studies are inconclusive. Some find correlation, others don't. If there were notable adverse health effects you'd think they would find it after looking for 40 years. Nobody should start using it but it's undoubtedly healthier than smoking.
No, studies are often inconclusive, and a few of the studies that was used ages ago to push back against snus had smokers in the test group as well as not researching specifically swedish snus (which is produced and created very differently from e.g what americans would call snus). It's the number 1 reason why snus isn't labeled as "deadly" but merely harmful. As for cancer rates, sweden has one of the lower oral cancer rates in europe despite all the snus that's consumed. And it's not like it's a new product either, it's been around since the early 1800's.
The only problem... Its false statistics. Lots of people smoke in Sweden, pretty much all of the immigrants smoke. And that group alone is way more than five percent.
bro smoking goes straight into your blood also. New snus usually has only nicotine extract without any carcinogenic additives. Nicotine isn't harmful in itself unless you suffer from autoimmune diseases
I bought some. I tried the lowest dose and all it does is burn my gums and mouth. Not for me. I was surprised how strong they are as I'm a heavy smoker. I just think the burn is uncomfortable.
The problem is with this type of product, especially the tobacco free ones is the company's in some countries don't have much choice on the very low nicotine, so it's not as easy to cut down.
Not sure if this is the same as chewing tobacco? I had some a couple of years ago I got from a Pakistani restaurant. I shared some with a Pathan friend of mine. Snus causes less cancer but you can contantly have it under your lip thruout the entire day, causing an even more intense nicotine addiction. "Sweden low smoking rates is due to restrictions emplaced in the 90s" - That is a blatant lie!

@@incumbentvinyl9291They are smoking in the face of others in a place they are not allowed to smoke
haha, you use the bus? Plebs
@@bobkinschuypers9911 They use your mom too. On the bus

In India🇮🇳, we call this Khaini.
Some companies, like ‘Chaini Khaini’ and ‘Cool Lip,’ sell this type of product.
It is especially popular among labor-class people.
In Sweden this product is being labelled as a less harmful and cool product. Power of Marketting.
In India the small pouch is called chaini khaini. I can export Chaini Khaini.
We probably export the raw material to them. 😅
Is there a study if this will lead to oral cancer? 🤔
yea cause there's no tobacco in it. It's no different then sucking on a nicotine losange or niccorte from walmart or drug store
Studies are inconclusive. Some find correlation, others don't. If there were notable adverse health effects you'd think they would find it after looking for 40 years. Nobody should start using it but it's undoubtedly healthier than smoking.
then why should nobody start using @@hybridwafer
No, but cardiovascular disease
No, studies are often inconclusive, and a few of the studies that was used ages ago to push back against snus had smokers in the test group as well as not researching specifically swedish snus (which is produced and created very differently from e.g what americans would call snus). It's the number 1 reason why snus isn't labeled as "deadly" but merely harmful.
As for cancer rates, sweden has one of the lower oral cancer rates in europe despite all the snus that's consumed. And it's not like it's a new product either, it's been around since the early 1800's.
so ur saying if i burned sweetgrass or sage in sweden they will think im smoking whacky leaf?
The only problem... Its false statistics. Lots of people smoke in Sweden, pretty much all of the immigrants smoke. And that group alone is way more than five percent.
COUGH COUGH
It’s not good it’s goes right to your Blood and very addictive I lived in Sweden.
Börja snusa
bro smoking goes straight into your blood also. New snus usually has only nicotine extract without any carcinogenic additives. Nicotine isn't harmful in itself unless you suffer from autoimmune diseases
Wrong! Nicotine is harmful to the heart/cardiovascular system. Increases heart rate and blood pressure, its a stimulant. Puts strain on your heart.
I bought some. I tried the lowest dose and all it does is burn my gums and mouth. Not for me. I was surprised how strong they are as I'm a heavy smoker. I just think the burn is uncomfortable.
DAAAAAM chewing tobacco is going to the next level 😂😆
In India, people been using this “nicotine pouch” under their lips while smoking cigarettes 😂
In Alabama they use chew nicotine while drinking gasoline and mountain dew.
The problem is with this type of product, especially the tobacco free ones is the company's in some countries don't have much choice on the very low nicotine, so it's not as easy to cut down.
??? My aunt from Lund smokes a pack a day.
try 2 packs of 30s , Chesterfield plain
BMA
Not Good!!!
I was in Lund too before my birth.
If you Snuss you Lose....
If you Zyn you Win.
Not sure if this is the same as chewing tobacco? I had some a couple of years ago I got from a Pakistani restaurant. I shared some with a Pathan friend of mine. Not long after my mind was spinning and the lecturers croaky cockney accent wasn’t helping (part of the reason I took it to mellow out). It just would not let up until I went into the toilets and vomited. The dizziness almost disappeared immediately. Maybe it was because I had nothing that day but I will give it another try. This stuff looks very practical although somewhat sterile. I prefer the old way of spitting out reddish brown liquid.
Lung cancer down,.. mouth cancer up!!
No, not really
"Why No One Smokes In Sweden"
Literally 45s into the video: "...5.6% of Sweeds smoke"
😐
lowest of all europe tho
Are you suggesting that a country can only be considered smokeless if 0% smoke?
@@PingSharp yea good point right, it's ooooonly like 600,000 people so basically the same as saying no one does it
@@Carrosive These 5-6% are never going to go away, it is a type of baseline.
With that logic, you could say that everyone is always sick. Because the common cold, and even less dangerous diseases will always exist. "Have you really recovered from pneumonia though? There are still 400 trillion viruses in your body"
@@PingSharp lmao no, if you want to use a health analogy, I guess nobody ever gets the flu because it only effects a small percentage of the population? Infections are pretty baseline and a small percentage of the overall population so let's just say nobody ever gets it
Snus and nicotine pouches are anything but relaxing, your blood pressure and heartbeat accelerates and puts you into a state of alertness, I usually pop a couple of pouches if I feel tired and unfocused at work but it would never replace a nice and crips tobacco smoke, they both give you cancer tho just a different type.
I quit smoking cigarettes, but now I vape and do snus when at work. I don't think I can quit
His T.e.l.e.g.r.a.m handle

You may use nicotex chew gums
If not available there.
You can order it from India.
It will help beleive me.
I haven't smoked since 2017. We call it cool lip here in india.
My personal experience I went from smoking a pack a day to vaping a disposable every 3 days to taking 6mg zyns I get a psck and it’ll last me a WHILE. It’s nice to not smoke I run and breath a lot better now
on holidays a met two 19 years old swedish guys they told that they ran out of those nicotine thingys.. they were smoking literally ALL THE TIME.. playing volleyball, even smoking on the sea, they were super addicts.
Can I find it in Japan?
Are we basically trading one drug for another?
And here, in Belgium, they forbid nicotin pouches ... to 'prevent diseases' (or maybe to please some lobbies ...).
